  • Good price, I have seen these sold for a lot more…

    • +1

it is not even a heavy duty one. i bought a heavy duty one from bunnings a while back for less.

      • yep…. this isnt a bargain. have a closer look at picture. thin cable and cheap plugs.

for a 25m lead, this is pushing the limits for safety. thin conduit, standard plugs…. wouldnt use this guy with power tools or anything pulling a lot of current. at this length, I'd be wanting 15amp plug (looks chunkier and has a bigger earth pin), and thicker cable.

as mattgal already said, cheaper/better available at bunnings. I bought a blue heavy duty cable from bunnings for about $15.

  • Ditto, Bunning's has those yellow/red heavy duty ones either 20m or 25 m for $20, much better value.

  • I don't think it can be used outdoors. Not bargain.

  • For an internal use 10A cord its not a bad price considering its shipped.
At least you are not lugging around those heavy duty cables.

I'd use this with the vacuum, currently using a 10m of the same build quality.
I also have a number of the heavy duty cords for outdoor use and I wouldnt compare the two as they are used differently.

    • i too have 10m length with cheaper cable and is fine for around the house use, but electricity doesnt like 25m through the same cable type. much bigger risk of fire.

      its the length that's bad.

  • better deals out there, for better quality as well.

  • The specs for the cable posted meet industry standards.
Your local OHS/Worksafe websites will have those standards listed, maybe even the ETU.

Bunnings have a 25m heavy duty lead for $19.75 advertised in Vic catalogue atm.
