Pro-Lift 1800kg Garage Jack $49 (Save $75) @ Repco

130

Saw this in the latest Repco catalogue. Great price for that slightly heavier duty Jack.

Direct link - the price will hopefully be updated when the sale starts tomorrow, Thursday 2 May. Otherwise most stores will honour the price today in-store if you have the catalogue with you.

Enjoy!

finally, something I can use to get my brother off his bed

    • +6

You're going to jack your brother off his bed?

        lmao

  • Would this be suitable to lifting a prado like 4wd?

    • the rated weight is probably fine per corner but you'll need to check the height of your Prado, knowing Prados and other offroad 4WD, you might need a high jack like this one.

      • +2

Lol, dont use a high lift jack for a prado. They are dangerous and pointless in most situations. Even if you are off-roading they have limited use.

Cool, price has not been jacked up.

  • Hmm, I'd prefer something that can lift a lot higher than that.

  • 1400kg version for $29 @ supercheap

I think jacks are something you shouldn't buy the cheapest of - I made that mistake once and bought this one - it's so crap! Actually lowers itself as you watch!

Not that I'd get under a car without jack stands as well, but I still don't like a jack that can't hold a level!

      • +4

Completely agree. Jack stands are a MUST!

Just out of curiosity did you purge the system if any air before first use? Do most jacks have a first time use process

    • It would suit lightweight car like Yaris, Jazz, Swift…. but not for heavier one like Camry, Accord…

    Thanks.

  • Can this be used for cars with low clearance?

    • Lifting range says 135 - 385mm. Is that low enough for what you're wanting?

  • The link seems to be unique for this trolley jack.

    • Yeah it looks like it. Thanks, I'll update the OP link

  • I am more interested in the Pro-Life 4000kg bottle jack, anyone here with experience with their brand of bottle jacks? How is the quality comparing to say Supercheap SCA or Kincrome?

    • I think you'll find that most of them all come from the same manufacture (or at least next door to each other) and are just labelled with different brands to give the impression they are different.

      • Not sure if they are all coming from the same manufacturer because these 3 models look different from each other.

    • I grabbed one at my local. Works well. Distributed by Shinn Fu Australia. For 35 bucks for a 4 tonne jack with lifetime warranty is a no brainer for me. As always the use of car stands is a must.
