Obviously only editing very small videos.

  • These any good to put into a nas box ?

    • You'll want bigger than this.

  • Free delivery? Can't be bother signing up and add to cart just to see delivery fee.

    • Nope, only if you have their subscription ($89) and also order $150. Otherwise it's about $12

  • Not real excited about this price. For such old stock you'd think they'd be marking them down further by now. I didn't pay a whole lot more for a 1TB HDD in 2011.

    • Seriously. I've had to destroy 1TB 2.5"s because they're just so… pointless. It's completely not worth it any more, density and costwise. 'Manager's deal of the day' lol. What is anyone even doing with 1TB 3.5" drives now.

$49/TB is awful value for an HDD, doesn't matter how you spin it. Just sayin', this is obviously just stock they cannot move.

Please tell me I wasn't the only one that noticed this.

    • This HDD was released in April 2018.

      • I didn't mean this model HDD but a 3.5" WD comparable. I don't buy into this "streaming and editing" spin, if anything wants serious performance there, they're buying an SSD anyway, or a comparatively cheaper (per TV) 4-8TB HDD which will dust this unit.

I like Toshiba, but what are they doing introducing a 1TB drive in April 2018? Wow they even have a 500GB model (also released in 2018). Shoot that marketing team.

    • Hard drives are finally below pre Thailand flood levels when they all went crazy

      • Monsoon is coming soon… guess this time no one will ever stock this one.
