      • I still had a CBA transaction account so they just refunded it there in about a week. Not sure what they do if you don't have any accounts left with them.

        • Hmm I don't have any other cba accounts, I'll try and get them to transfer to another bank, if not still $141 profit, o well.

  • Would paying for car rego count?

  • How can I check when I last had this card?

    • Call them

  • Does anyone know what happens with a joint account, I got the previous one on my name, now can I cancel that and apply on my partners name ??
Or should I just tell her to make a separate account.

    • Should be right if the primary card holder is different

  • Was conditionally approved (had the card 2 years ago), but just got an email requesting additional docs - This one's in the too hard basket!

    • Current bank statements showing wage payments from last 3 months

    • Letter from employer

    • Two recent payslips or ABN Registration Certificate (if self-employed)

    • Current notice of assessment

    • 100 points identification

    • Got that letter in the post, thought it was the card.
I think I’ll pop in the too hard basket also, not sure it’s worth it

    • Got requested for credit card statements with other banks.. smaller basket..

WTF? bit overkill for a low rate card.

    • What limit did you apply for?

    • Same here. Just for a lowly $500 credit limit and they make me jump thru hoops.

      Notice of assessment? Really Commbank?

Others like St George, Westpac, Citibank etc, the requested limited was like +10 times more and I got approved without hassle, even not bank with them.

Just email smoozed, asking if possible to waive 1st years annual fee.
Worth a shot as I dont want to pay it upfront and not get the $200 later, which is what I get 90% of the time (thanks Shopback for maintaining stats).

    • any updates on this?

      • No reply yet, so no go I expect.
I'm not completing the application, as I still have to send income proof.
Into the basket of greatest whoa.

        • When I called up, I also asked (though I didn't really push it) and the staff member said that because there's already the $200 back that he wouldn't.

  • Says it takes up to 60 days to get the cashback. Anyone had it sooner?

    • +1

mine came through 10 days after i had spent the $500

      • Was it after your monthly statement?

        • yep
Statement on the 1st of June and on the 6th of June got the $200

so I've received my $200 bonus and went to close the account online but if you call they will return the annual fee (if charged in the past 60 days)
Worth the call, super easy to do.
    Hope this helps someone.

Thanks, I will be giving them a ring tomorrow.

  • Is "eligible purchases" defined anywhere? Can't find it anywhere on their website.
