    20% are fairly common. I'm still waiting on a 25% or 30%.

I've never seen it at 25% or greater with Eastbay… 20% off seems to only happen every couple of months so I believe it is a pretty good deal.

      • 30% off is usually promoted during significant occassions i.e. independence day.

      • You can almost always find 20% off for eastbay. 25% or 30% are better bargains which come up fairly regularly.

20% off though is still a great price considering how much cheaper eastbay is compared to regular prices in Australia.

Why neg them for that comment? They weren't saying this wasn't a bargain, just common, which is true

I wasn't the one that neged it.

  • tried to purchase kobe vi from eastbay yesterday but it has international restrictions for shipping it to australia.♦

^ yeh ive noticed that restriction message…wtf does that mean???? thats wack if its true

    on their facebook page

"Due to a recent international shipping restriction by the manufacturer, we can no longer ship certain Nike products to Australia at this time. We're working to display our "International Shipping Restrictions May Apply" mes…sage on the restricted products at this time.

If you're interested in our other shoes, here's a link to our Shoes section to get started: http://tinyurl.com/Eastbay-Choose-your-Shoes"

    whatta crock!!!!

    • That's because Nike Australia are dickheads. They think you should be forced to pay the outrageous local price in Australia or not get the product for a decent price anywhere else. Shame on them!

      • Just use priceusa.com etc. No doubt it will still work out cheaper

  • Yeah, been like that for a couple of months unfortunately.

  • More a comment on this store than the deal, but "ASICS® Gel-Kayano 17 - Men's shoes", which is the flagship ASICS mens trainer, and very comfortable, and I just tried to checkout to see if I could use this deal on it, and found that: a) they will not ship it to Australia, period and b) they will not accept any discounts on this shoe, including this code, and c) they charge US$35 for shipping and handling to Australia, bringing the total up to US$175. That is still less than stores here, but I can get it for AU$200 instantly without any hassle in a standard sports store in a Westfield shopping centre… so for at least some items, this store + deal aren't so great.

    • I understand what you are saying and totally agree with you.. Unfortunately I don't think any US store will ship ASICS out of the US…

However other brands ie Brooks are very much worth it… For example, the Brooks Trance 9 are currently $89 plus shipping of $32 less 20% off the total price = $96.80… The cheapest I have managed to find this shoe in a retail store is around the $220 mark…

So yeah it is only a good deal if you are after something that they are able to ship to Australia… Remember it is not just shoes that they sell… :)

      • I got my asics 17s delivered today from startfitness, came to about $100 delivered.

    • Not many US stores ship ASICS overseas. Wiggles UK ship to Australia, and so do Amazon (they did when I ordered mine a while ago anyway)

    • You need to look to the UK if you want Asics. Wiggles UK or Startfitness are your best bets. Once you add the item to your cart and go for shipping to AUS you'll also notice they remove VAT which is a little nice bonus.

  • Is $35US the flat rate for all shoes that you buy from Eastbay to Australia please?

    • Don't think it's a flate rate… It increases slightly as you buy more. But yes 35 is the starting point.

      • My order was $32.99 for one item, then for two items it only went up to $37… So good if you and a friend want to order, or if you want to order two items.

  • Does the $99 include shipping too?

  • I use to order from Eastbay, and noticed recently about the international shipping restrictions, didn't know why, so thanks for letting me know guys!!.

  • What actually has those restrictions? Entire brands or just certain pairs of shoes? I can get two pairs of Nike from Eastbay for the price of one pair here but I don't wanna waste time with the decision and order process if it's just gonna shaft me at the end.

It actually says in red writing within the product description so you can see quickly and easily if you'll be wasting time adding it to your cart or not.
It doesn't seem to be entire brands, just specific items.

      • Thanks.
