Also I just bought brand new galaxy watch active (au stock) for $287 on eBay using this code. 👍

    • +3

      Link pls?

    • +2

The galaxy watch active is the slimmer, less featured version of the galaxy watch.

The active is slimmer and more sporty looking, while the galaxy watch is a bit more traditional and can be dressed up a bit more, while having a bigger battery. The active is more of a budget conscious version.

      • +1

Yea agree. I would prefer to purchase the galaxy watch instead as there's more occasion in which you get to wear it. While active is looks too sporty in a suit or work dress.

      • The Active has a blood pressure sensor not available in the Inactive watch though.

BETTER MAKE IT THE 46MM BIGGER BATTERY SIZE!!! at toby deals is 334 https://www.tobydealsau.com/en_AU/product/samsung-galaxy-wat… and can primatch to rebel store if u like to pickup instead online. i bought 2 from rebel price match with toby

    • The 46mm one is huge - I got the 42mm as it looks a lot better on my wrist. I haven't had any issues with battery life - usually I wear it all day and for sleep tracking, charging between when I wake up and when I leave for work, plus occasionally charging after I get home from work before bed.

That being said I get it to 100% a lot with that process. It drops from 100% to 92% wearing it overnight and battery life has gotten better with recent updates. I could probably do one big charge every two days if I had to, plus with my s10+ I can charge it at my desk fairly easily too.

      • Same feeling here, try the 46mm at Harvey Norman but looks too big for me, buy the 42mm on ebay for slightly a bit more than this.

Could you pls upload your rebel receipt?

      • why??

        • +4

For price matching, it’ll be easier to price match with Rebel receipt

    • +1

Yeah, Pro-Tip; don't buy from tobydealsau
      https://au.trustpilot.com/review/tobydeals.com

      Reviews 2,019 • Poor

According to a majority of reviews, products arrive faulty plus on their website for the watch it even says ****May not be compatible with Samsung Pay
Which tells me it doesn't have Australian warranty nor compatible NFC

      Don't bother with them.

      • +1

i don't buy at toby, i'm just using it as a price match at rebel

  • +1

https://www.catch.com.au/product/samsung-galaxy-watch-blueto… or even can match price at rebel from catch.. but bit more expensive

    • they dont do price match with online store. that is what i am told from Rebel, Blacktown.

  • Note this doesn't look to be the LTE version

  • +1

what a plague on my life the galaxy watch was. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone that wanted to actually use the features unless you're happy to charge twice a day or overnight. takes 3 hours for a full charge.

certainly do not buy it with an intent to use it for fitness.

if you want a pretty smart watch that you use solely for bluetooth connectivity and happy to be prisoner to charging, sure, go ahead. it is pretty!

    • +8

Mine lasts several days with moderate use.

Sounds like you're either exaggerating, had the screen permanently on or had a faulty unit.

      • +1

um nope. garbage. had it on low screen level. couldn't care less about smart watch features. just wanted a built in gps and music watch that was pretty. but if i used it for 1.5hrs with gps and music,it wouldnt last 12 hrs (i.e rest of day)

    • +1

I have the 46mm non LTE version and I can get about 4 days with a lot of usage - Fitness tracking, sleep tracking, music controls. and with phone notifs turned off, I can easily get to 5 days!

Not sure if your unit is faulty. Maybe try doing a hard reset. I have read a few forum posts that it improved battery life massively.

      • i had the 42mm. sent it back for 2 assessments and each time they said it was fine. screen was on like level 3 and i wasn't connected to bluetooth all day. my main aim was gps & music. anyway in the end I lodged a fair trading complaint and they refunded my money.

people can believe what they want to believe but if you google user reviews instead of media reviews, you'll see battery life is garbage. maybe 46mm is better.

        • A mate of mine had only a 2 day battery life on the 46mm unit! a hard reset changed it all.

Not questioning what happened with yours, but I have 4 friends who have this unit after I suggested them to buy it and the battery life is excellent overall for all of us.

        • My 42mm LTE had issues early on with bluetooth drop outs causing it to fall back onto LTE. This definitely chewed up battery faster than I wanted. A later update seems to have resolved it and getting rock solid battery life from it.

  • +3

Agreed. Mine last 3-4 with moderate use

    • do u have this specific version (42mm), cuz The battery issue is my only concern.

  • Can you use Good Guys gift card on eBay? If not, would they honour same price in store?

    • Don't think you can use gift card on eBay and unfortunately they don't honour ebay price in store as I was told last time I tried to purchase Galaxy Gear S3 from them.

      • Thank you, not a big deal as I can only get 5% from GoodGuys gift cards. Bought the watch anyway :)

  • +1

have used it for 3 months, averagely lasts 3 days on a single charge.

the only 2 things i don't particularly like are not supporting myki card and the track of swimming is totally a joke

  • Can anyone suggest me an audio player for the watch that has the clock on the app face?

Also, I want to be able to flick my wrist while listening to audio and have the audio player appear, not the watch face. Every time I want to access the audio controls via my watch, I have to navigate to the player. I want to make it so that as soon as the screen turns on, it stays on the audio player, if I happen to be listening to audio.

Of course, since I want to bypass the watch face, I also need a player that has tells the time on its own app screen.

  • Can't decide between this, the Active or Garmin Fenix from the other deal. Any advice? I'm looking mainly for the GPS and ability to track my running distance and speed. Heart rate etc is kinda optional since I plan to use scosche rhythm 24 for that. Thoughts?

    • +1

As much as I love my Galaxy S3, for your purpose I'd say Garmin Fenix. Samsung Health is good but doesnt work well with other services unlike Garmin
