Top price cheapest in comparison I could find was double that : https://www.google.com.au/search?biw=2048&bih=1062&tbm=shop&…

Don't read review at Amazon though :)

That review, he really got burnt by the toaster :D

  • I was actually shopping for a four-slice toaster a few days ago and considered this one. I ended up getting the more expensive https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B076JJS8YG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i… for $50. The colour isn't great but the blue and white versions are double the price.

    • I was looking for a 4-slice with dual controls like that, but in all the brands I looked at the slots are too short.

They are fine for the packaged square sliced bread, but if you buy one of the larger Viennas or sourdoughs, the slices just don’t fit.

K-mart had one with longer slots, but no dual control.

I wish someone would make one of the long slot toasters (like the Quantum), but with dual controls so my wife could have her toast burned the way she likes and I could have browned toast. (Yeah - 1st world problem of having to twist the dial)

  • ya jokin. i just spent $39 for a 4 slice toaster at kmart.

Hate to say it but I think you missed out on good quality toast. (just a joke for anyone who saw comments on the rice cooker earlier)

    More reviews here: https://www.target.com.au/p/sunbeam-quantum-plus-4-slice-toa…

Seems that reviews are mixed - some say it's great, others complain about it toasting unevenly. Sounds like quality control on the elements is not so good. I think that if you get this, if it toast unevenly then contact Amazon for a refund/replacement asap. Assuming you get a good one, then this is a good price for a long slot toaster…..

    • Maybe some people just don't know how to toast properly.

‘Toasting unevenly’…. fk, talk about first world problems

    Quad Toastage!

  • Oh wow I've never had quantum toast

    • also need quantum bread …

  • I was going to buy one of these, then I realised it's almost impossible to get Quantum Bread in Australia.

Found it. Apparently known as Qubread. It's both cooked and uncooked at the same time, but when you pop it up to look at it, it's either cooked or uncooked.

Apparently you can change the chance of on Qubread being cooked, and if it is, another piece has the same outcome in a process known as entangledwheat.

    • Yes, the bread is a state of superposition, apparently 50/50 chance of the toast being toasted or not. I have also done the cat in the box tests, very interesting results.

  • A gas toaster would be more efficient, cheaper and faster.
