    no thanks

    • +3

yep along with junky inspiron build quality.
some okay specs otherwise, but i'd be steering clear.

    • +2

yea that 768 is a real deal breaker

I will just leave it here if someone needs it. around same price, but better build quality Inspiron 15 5000 with Intel I7, FullHD display, 1tb hard drive plus 16gb optane.

    • Is this a refurb with one unit in stock?

      • you are very perceptive.

        • It had good specs comparatively for the price but It's just that you never know what to expect with a refurb. Only one in-stock means they don't have the capability to replace the unit if you're not happy.

@bigbadboogieman: it's never a problem, I buy Dell refurbished all the time, they are just like new, and Dell really stands behind the quality, the warranty is no different from new units, they look new, they feel new, never had a bad one, so my recommendation for everyone I know would be to check Dell outlet first when looking for a new laptop. You are saving money, and getting better specs. The best value are the business grade refurbished units, because they come with 3 year on site warranty, that means if there's something wrong, you call Dell, and tomorrow there's a technician at your office, fixing it.

            • @[Deactivated]: Good to know. Wasn't aware about this.

            • @[Deactivated]: You sure that its 3 years and not 1 year onsite warranty?

              • @meego: 3 years for Latitude and Precision

                • @[Deactivated]: i would clarify
I bought a dell refurb lattitude
                  - every time i called for phone advice I would put in machine details and get put through to premium service, but then they would check the background and see it was an outlet buy and then transfer me to overseas crappy phone support
                  - and they only gave me 1 year as well!
(turns out it was in fine print when I bought the unit)

                  • @dr_ rusko: latitude changed to 3 years recently. I don't use phone, I just chat. Never had an issue with their support! Sometimes a part availability would delay service, but otherwise everything was prompt and professional. what kind of advice were you seeking?
