Hey Looks like its back in Stock again :)

    • Haha.. I thought so.. I was thinking to mention & now added into description just in case if any one else experience Déjà Vu ;)

  • Almost $2300 for a MacBook pro with 2 core 7th gen CPU. Yikes!

    • +1

If you are refering to MR9Q2X/A that is 8th Gen CPU I am pretty sure.

      "$2294.15 + $15 (free with ebay plus) Apple 13in Macbook Pro with Touch Bar i5 2.3GHz 256GB MR9Q2X/A Space Grey(ebay.com.au)"

      • 9th gen, 8th gen, 7th gen, 6th gen…. doesn't really matter, they're the same architecture and lithography.
You gotta wait until 2022 when Intel restructures the old architecture into something slightly better, and runs it on an Intel +10nm wafer (which is equal to TSMC's 8nm and Samsung's 9nm wafers). Then you'll see some performance uplift AND power savings. Or maybe wait for AMD's 7nm Zen2 mobile chips (Ryzen 4000 series) in late 2020.

But more importantly; wow, MacBook's have actually become a joke since the 2015-editions.
No wonder the Razer Blade, Lenovo Yoga, HP x360, and Dell XPS have been "killing it" lately.

        • The performance difference between 8th gen and 7th gen is rather different as far as core count is concerned. Not going to bother going into macbook vs pc battle.

        • Actually there's a noticeable jump between 7th and 8th gen as they increased the number of cores from 2 to 4, and 4 to 6.

In all other cases, I agree.

      👍🏻

    • Heads up - you know the one listed on the post is the variant without an inbuilt modem, correct?

      • Cheers - yep just need router to tether my 4G optus modem too. Been looking for the dsl or the RT variant for a couple weeks now.

  • I look at the Airpods and like them, but $200 is a lot when u can get copies (even with the same apple connecting setup) for $25-$50.
I guess Im trying to justify in my mind….

How to order MR9Q2X/A with 16GB RAM?

  • Some guy broden'd the airpods and bought 10…

  • The mbp is at a good price, rarely do they have > 10% off.

  • +1

Went and got some ebay cards from woolies with the bonus rewards offer (effectively 10% off) making the MBP a pretty good deal for me. Thanks!

(I know buying one now guarantees the 2019 MBPs will be released like, tomorrow, but oh well :P)

Does OfficeWorks ever price match eBay promotions i.e. in this case would they price match the Macbook?

  • +1

Thanks. Saved me $449 on a Macbook. Plus a bonus $80 worth of Woolworths Rewards points from 8 x Ebay gift cards.

  • The AirPods were back in stock today so I grabbed one, but I just wanted to know from others that purchased them…

Are they AU stock (same as would be sold at JB/Apple), and come with a normal Apple warranty? Say, could I walk into any Apple Store with the Wireless 1 invoice and have the Apple Store repair/exchange them should I have any problems with them?

    • +1

Yes .. This from listing :)

Sweet. Thanks for the reply. Ordered them whilst half asleep on my mobile so I must've overlooked that on the listing. Cheers mate!

  • Can it be combined with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/455086 to get ~$200 worth of woolies rewards points if I buy a mac?
