  It's made from polypropylene and not at all how I'd imagine an Egyptian rug to look… Yes it's made in Egypt, but I'm not sure why that is good.

    its just a label that was once associated with quality.
    The higher quality rugs used to be made with Egyptian wool or silk.
    Obviously these rugs are nowhere near that quality.
