  • hmmmmmm the Sydney sun is quite strong. usually 2-3hrs on the hills hoist and everything is crispy dry even in winter… and you get the UV cleansing treatment.

Auto-ignition recording mode - starts when your car starts

    Lol, what??

..and all this seems a bit gimmicky - if I really wanted artificial breeze next to my clothes horse - couldn't I just use a $15 pedestal fan?

    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/gva-40cm-pedestal-fan-g40pfw1…

Although I prefer the natural breeze outside and UV disinfecting treatment. Very few days in Melbourne I can't get clothes dry outside, especially if you can set up a few clothes lines under a pergola roof.

Also, saying that normal tumble dryers use 3000w of energy is BS - maximum for a power socket is 2400w, but I'd say a tumble dryer would be usually around 1800w.

This drying rack will automatically burn your clothes and record the video when you start your car. With an optional accessory it will live stream the video on Facebook for LOLs.

    • To be fair - the claim is 3000w - not 3000w/hour (very different metrics) - but no idea how much effort they went to qualify those values :) Also a pedestal fan won't blow upwards, which has some benefit (horizontal air won't reach items at the back). But this is kinda kitsch…

Also a pedestal fan won't blow upwards

A pedestal fan laid down on the ground facing up will blow upwards all day everyday.

        • Lol

        • Or even better, get a box fan and do similar, though the fan will have to work harder as obviously it will not be able to get good airflow with it's back to the ground.

Wow, how is this worth $240?

Must be the auto-ignition recording mode.

    Gently dry’s clothes

    Hmmm.

I prefer my clothes not to ignite automatically when I start my car :\

Also reviews are average at best

  • OP, is ACT! part of the brand name? I cannot find it on the product web page. If it isn't part of the brand name then it should be removed from the title.

  • Clothes racks are inherently ugly, but this one is positively ghastly.

  • Does it plug into power? Maybe a silly question, but I can’t find where it says power, battery etc., and the what’s in the box section doesn’t state power supply included.
Reviews are saying doesn’t dry fast, noisy, and flimsy - can you elaborate on these points?
Video says can sleep with it going..does it have a timer?
    Thanks.

  • Lol what a joke of a product and even more a joke of an RRP.

as we were having issues getting our clothes dry esp on cold days and we cant dry our clothes outside as our area gets super dusty, i thought this was perfect! then i realised….why dont i just stick my tower fan next to my current drying rack…

thanks for the idea :D and its free!

I’m glad I was so bored that I watched the 2 minute video, I was under the impression that it had a heater and I thought it might double as a room warmer in the bedroom while drying clothes.. it’s only a fan 🙄
