        • Nope, still $310…

  • I bought a Global version 64G from Aliexpress. It does not display the incoming phone number. I have not worked out how to fix it. The phone is awesome.

  • redmi note 7 pro is 399.31 AUD global version multilanguage on aliexpress

    • I thought they only have China or India ROM.
Maybe he refer to India (English) ROM

      • indian market is the global version

  • 309 AUD after the discount. Shipping insurance needed?

Does the discount work only with the black version? I would like the blue..

How does warranty work for this mobile phone? How long is the warranty period? If something goes wrong, do we need to contact the Geekbuying? How would they fix the problem?

    • Nice question, can OP answer this? I've already bought mine tho.

    • +1

Same as all overseas sellers… You pay for registered postage and insurance and if they find a fault they might pay return shipping, if not then you have to pay for it's return postage and insurance. Those shipping costs are much higher than when you purchase.
I have seen many incidents where sellers get the phone and claim there is nothing wrong with it. Customer pays return shipping & insurance only to find it is still faulty. Sellers can play on the "pissed off factor" where you just give up in frustration.
Turn around time for most can be several months.
This is from what I see on forums regularly, who knows, Geekbuying might be more genuine? I doubt it.
Has anyone ever had to get warranty service from them specifically?
Sellers have terms and conditions on their website, you can read them. Then again, as you have no Australian consumer rights with overseas purchases you virtually have to rely on the seller being honourable.

From a couple of years ago but with Geekbuying.. typical scenario as mentioned with others..
      "aftersale horror story
So, my phone worked for a bit less than a year. I asked if they could repair it. They told me to ship it back to them, so I did. I got it back after half a year of waiting, but it was still broken."

Don't forget to add the 10% GST not shown until checkout at AliExpress. Perhaps I need a deal on the Pro?

  • @OP after 3 days of purchase the status of the order is still in :payment confirmed.

    • Yes that's normal. Advertised processing time is 2-7 business days.

      • So that means it takes two weeks after the order to get it delivered? :/

        • +1

          Yes potentially.

          • @Clear: Wow I might cancel the order then, can't wait that much :/

  • Here are some pix taken today with the Redmi Note 7

The bottles were taken on a pallet, so a metre or so from the phone in photo mode.
They look ok until you make them 100% of size.

The ones across the room were done in the Pro mode.
Again, use your favourite photo editor & make them 100%.

For all their hype about how goods the cameras are, I think they followed Huawei & used a DSLR for their demo shots.

    • Electronic zoom is bull$hit, be it phone or proper camera. The non-zoom photo with default settings doe not look bad though.

    • "Again, use your favourite photo editor & make them 100%."

      You can't polish a turd.

      • Take it to 100% to see how bad they really are. It certainly doesn't make them better.

  • Ordered a week ago, last Friday. Still not shipped. Unbelievably slow.. Totally unhappy

    • Just asked GeekBuying and they've advised that the rest are shipping out today. Currently still within the timeframe.

Edit: Tracking numbers are now starting to show on orders

      • +1

Yeah we have tracking number that doesn't show anything in the system. Lmao

        • Geek have advised it will be trackable in the next 2 days

    • Same here

  • +1

Got the tracking code 4 days ago, doesn't work yet..

    • +1

      Same for my tracking also

  • After 18 days after purchase I still don't have a working tracking number. First and last time I buy something from them.
They also show big stock availability even if they don't have it in stock.

    • This deal got posted on the 9th though?

  • Coupon still works
