They’ve apparently ceased producing these for North America, hopefully we’re not next.

Do yourself a favor and buy the Pandora's Box Console instead. A lot more fun and lots of nostalgic games.
I have both and i wouldn't say that the pandora's box is better that the snes classic. Especially after you mod the snes and add more games. Both have great titles.
From experience, all my mates who bought the SNES stopped playing it within a few months. The Pandora seems to always get a play at parties, especially Street Fighter.
The pandoras box is mostly arcade style gaming, so people looking for a party machine, sure go ahead and recommend for that.
OP's post isn't "best party gaming system" so to say pandoras box is better than snes classic without context is a non argument. It's just your personal preference in your specific scenario.
Better then to say "if your looking for some nostalgic arcade fun at parties…." so people better understand.
And yes, Street Fighter is great on it. Especially Capcom vs Street Fighter.
