20% off Data Plans Purchased in The Flexiroam X App

41

NOTE

This discount code only works for purchases made within the Flexiroam X App by customers with an activated SIM/microchip/eSIM purchased from CallCloud.

It gives you 20% Off any Local or Global Data Plan purchase. See Ozbargain for deals on our Starter Kits.

Our value proposition is slightly different from your normal Travel SIM.

We aim to be the Last Travel SIM you will ever buy!

We do this with an innovative SIM Microchip or 'sticker' that affixes to your home SIM that enables access to cheap data in 150+ countries. This microchip also enables you to switch back to your home SIM to check SMS or receive calls if you wish.

We are also one of the 1st to offer a global data eSIM (for the new model iPhones & Google Pixel 3). We believe it will work with the new Pixel 3a phones, but won't know until they have been tested.

Another key advantage of our solution is that we offer users the ability to share data between other users. This is not 'tethering' in the usual sense. The users can be anywhere on earth!

What this means is that users can buy larger data plans and gift 100MB or more to others so they can get better value from their plan.

A key concept for our services is that most data plans can be bought with significant discount if purchased in advance (either 30 days or 90 days).

Some examples:

Japan 10GB for 24 Days (bought 90 days in advance) US$13.80
Thailand 10GB for 24 Days (bought 90 days in advance) US$14.10
Italy 3GB for 8 Days (bought 90 days in advance) US$3.90

We have over 5000 plans that range from 300MB to 10GB and for duration of hours up to a year.

Yes, we do also offer 'normal' SIMs and they also can be used again too.

The SIMs last forever. The Credit lasts for 365 days, but rolls over for another 365 days with each data purchase.

For those wishing to lock in the discounted data pricing prior to booking flights, you can purchase a data plan and refund it at anytime prior to activating it (or sharing it).

  • Few issues,

    • I installed the app and it stated "START" code is 50% off but didn't work anyway
    • The promo code you provided also does not work
    • The postage cost of USD $10 kills any value that there might have been
    • Apologies for the confusion, that Code we posted only applies to Flexiroam Kits that have been sold by CallCloud. Although the deal is still valid, we can see that it has/will cause confusion, so we have removed it from OzBargain. Thanks for pointing it out.

The $10 USD postage is from Flexiroam. We only charge $4.95 for P&H with tracking.

We have put up our own offer for $15 off any Starter Pack purchased (with $35 or $50 credit included).

Once you have our SIM activated you will be able to access the the discount of the original offer.

We hope this clears things up!

      • I'm confused, so is there a discount on the following;

        https://callcloud.com.au/collections/america-data-plans-earl…

        • Yes.

Assuming you aren't travelling too close to the 90 day early bird cut off (allowing for postage time, etc)

The best way would be to purchase a a SIM Starter Kit with $35 credit. $44.95 + $4.95 P&H

Use the OZBARGAIN3 code at the checkout. (-$15 discount)

Then once you have the SIM & App (activate the SIM)

In the App you can choose Local Data -> Americas -> 10GB 24 Days (90 day in advance) for $40.80

          Apply the code: 8DDVJ7 (-20%) $32.64

Net result it you have the SIM & Data for USD$35

You will also have $2.36 of credit to use next time you travel.

          I hope this makes sense?

  • eSIM costs double a standard SIM. Why is that?

    • Unfortunately that's what we are charged, and understand that it is because of the expensive R&D involved. We are yet to see anyone with a cheaper eSIM in the Travel SIM space, however we have amended our offer as seen in the above post, so in effect you can get one for $5.

      Thanks for the feedback.

Lol this is a very confusing service.
I'm interested as my wife and I are spending all of June in America but for the life of me I can't figure out how to sign up or what it would cost me.

Typically your service requires too much brain power to figure out, most people will get frustrated and just leave your site. I did and I'm very well versed in tech and cell phones. Also why bother offering Sprint and Verizon, they're CDMA networks that most phones in Australia won't work with.

    • Hi Thanks for the feedback.

In hindsight, we probably wouldn't have released the original offer because it was confusing.

For our next deal we will probably go back to a much simpler offer!

To clarify, we are the distributors of Flexiroam in Australia, so its a worldwide product (RE CDMA). It also means that once activated you become a Flexiroam customer. We seek to offer the starer packs at a lower price point than Flexiroam do to Australians.

Once you have downloaded the Flexiroam X App it will become clearer, as that's where all the plans are purchased.

Our site is intended to demonstrate the range of plans we offer (over 5000) so yes it can be confusing, but our mission is to challenge the way Travel SIMs are purchased (Rather than a last minute disposable item, we seek to offer a cost effective solution that can be used over & over).

For your specific use case, we'd need to know how much data you need and when you leave.

The important date for you is 10 June (30 days away). As plans are 40-50% Off.

If you are in the USA from 1 June, you might be better getting a 15 Day plan commencing 1 June & then another commencing 15 June, so you at least get half the discount.

The plan can also be shared with your wife (and anyone else for that matter).

We also need to know how hungry your data appetite is!

We've only been operating for a month, so we are still learning, and we will take on board your comments and post a few more guides, FAQ's on the site. You can also chat with us on social media or give us a call.

Also, further info is available on Flexiroam.com

      Thanks for your interest

Also, your site is .au yet you're charging USD - this isn't clear till you get to the checkout. For me the idea (I think) is great, but it's way too confusing for the average consumer and your prices being USD when you're based in AU is not a great move.

Lastly - people pay extra for simplicity and ease - your site and who system is just way too hard. I couldn't actually figure out what the process is to sign up and get data and now you're talking about 2 different data blocks and dates… F@#$ it - I tried, I'm just going to get a sim from the USA and put it in my phone.

Your end user experience needs a TON of work.

Here's what I would do, sit your parents or friends down in front and get them to try to sign up without your help and any input. Just want them - if it takes longer than 15 seconds for them to know what the next step is - it's too long they're getting confused and annoyed. Confused/annoyed means that they're gonna bolt.

  • I'm also a bit confused here. Advice from CallCloud would be appreciated!
My wife is traveling to Israel next weekend. We have two questions:
    1. Will the microchip sticker arrive to a Melbourne address before the end of next week?
    2. In terms of making a purchase, there's this option on your site. Why would she not purchase this, with the sticker option? From my understanding of your replies above, you have recommended to purchase the $35 option (with the $15 discount), and then use that credit to buy local data for Israel.
Please can you confirm if the sticker will arrive in time, and also which is the best value option for Israel travel in less than two weeks! Many thanks :)

      Hi picogary,

      1. Yes we ship from Melbourne, so you should have it in time!
      2. The option you highlighted '1GB for 15 Days - Last Minute' @ $13.10 Does workout cheaper if 1GB is all she requires.

The $35 option would cost $20 (after the $15 discount), but would give her $35 of included credit. The data package above would cost $8.10, leaving $26.90 of credit that could be used for her next trip abroad (credit would be valid for a year).

If she doesn't make any further plans to travel in the next year, she can always use this credit to buy data and share it to another SIM or microchip using the Flexishare feature.

I hope this clears things up a little. If you have any further queries let us know here, or via FB messneger on our website.

      Thanks again for your interest.

      • Great, thanks for the extra info.
She’ll make the purchase some time this weekend :)
