don't find any difference in the shave between this and the one I regularly use

Yeh I find this one pretty good too.
This gel works very well you shave everyday, ie if the beard is short. Otherwise it doesn't lather enough.
I generally mix it up with Gillette foaming gel and use it on my beard and that works extremely well give a me a smooth and comfortable shave.
i use shampoo to shave my head/face LOL
