no deal, you can get office subscriptions keys from Ebay for 1/10th of this price.

    • Yeah, not good enough. Will only purchase if it is for 3 devices and 3 year subscription.

I believe they provide you with their own Office 365 account. What if you have to use your own account?

I bought one off ebay and I did have to validate the license or whatever with the account they provided, but I wad then able to sign into Word with my own personal email and it still works.

    • any ebay seller you would recommend? thanks mate

Use LibreOffice. Free and open source. Don't need to pay the world's second biggest multinational corporation yearly fees then.

I dislike the subscription model software companies have taken the past few years. We're all cash cows. Wait for Microsoft to take Windows this way too.

    • I came here to say this, since I stated using LibreOffice I would never go back to paying Microsoft.

    • Cheers, will give this a go. I’m the kind of person that only uses office every few months on my home laptop so I refuse to pay a yearly subscription when they are this expensive.

    • What's this subscription model u speak off? I'm still using Office 2010 at home…..pirated of course….

      • The subscription model is something that software developers have moved to, because even though people could have purchased a supported "Office 2010 Home and Student" for $149 back in 2010 ($16.55/year since), they obtained cracked copies anyway.

The developers didn't like the idea of working to develop and support a productivity suite (or any product) for nothing so they devised a way to make sure they were paid for their work.

This software does not need to be on a scumscription model. I will not be using Office once Office 2019 is obsolete.

When it comes to Windows, as I use my PC for gaming, unfortunately I am stuffed. I haven't pirated since I stopped being a student (I even buy legit copies of windows) but will probably go back to OS piracy (still buying all other software) if MS go that way.

If you actually want this then it could be worth the asking price. Personally, I don't.

  • If you want this product, this is actually a good price. Cheapest I saw the other day was closer to $76.

  • You can get 6 accounts for $99 at office works. Works out to be very cheap if you share it with friends our you can set it up for family use.

You pretty much get 1TB of Onedrive each which is extremely handy and if you use excel almost everyday for pretty much everything it's handy to sync between your phone, laptop, pc….

    • You can get the same from Bing Lee Ebay for $93 with PLACE code. Unfortunate the 20% off code doesn't seem to work for the Home edition.

  • Make sure you have automatic billing set to OFF if renewing. During the renewal process, you will be offered a free extra month to turn it on and have to put in your credit card. When done, you can turn it off again and get to keep the free month.
