These things are shit if you're doing single labels. After every label it prints something like 5cm of extra label because according to Brother "that's how the label cartridge is designed".

Huge waste of tape which isn't cheap. Better off going with the equivalent Dymo model.

    • Thanks was about to get this - that would be way too fustrating.

I just buy from whoever is cheapest never had a problem yet. This 9mm tape (This printer only uses 9mm and 12mm) is only $2.95 but Ebay will add 10% to cover GST https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TA-231-TZe-231-Label-Tape-Compat…

    • many thanks will give them a try, in term of quality compared to original brand are they pretty much the same/not as sticky/printing as a good?

Never had a problem i use them for labeling my plants so they are on plastic tags outside in the weather or in a shadehouse all year.I started using the tape about 4yrs ago and have only had to replace 2 or 3 labels obviously you need to make sure the surface is clean before applying.

  • Any cheap charger for this?

    • I wouldn't bother with a charger they use AAA batterys and have a very low power usage.
