Click Frenzy Mayhem 2019: Tuesday May 21 2019 » All Comments

  • Anyone else getting 502 Bad Gateway error when trying to subscribe to email notifications on this page? https://www.clickfrenzy.com.au/

    • I'm getting the same thing, but it seems to go through as I got an email from Click Frenzy confirming subscription.

  • How come there are 50 items on the page of OzBargain 2019 Click Frenzy Sales/Promo…
….and everything is already Expired or is Out of Stock before starting?

    • +1

That should read 2018, I'll get that fixed thanks. That section will be removed once the 2019 deals start rolling in.

      Edit: Fixed

  • Can’t wait! I have never won a deal hoping to get a Samsung!

  • Has anyone won from Perth? I have done this 3 years in a row and won nothing. Is the distance a factor?

    • I won a Fitbit last year, that was my first time doing it.

  • +1

    Back again 😆

  • +10

They didn't send my go wild order last year and when I complained on Facebook in the click frenzy comments they block me from the click frenzy page :(

  • -1

is it 1 go wild item per household again? anyone circumnavigate that barrier?

    • +1

      One item per household again:

The limit of purchases for the entire duration of the Click Frenzy Go Nuts sale (between 19:00 AEST May 21, 2019 and 23:59 AEST May 22, 2019) is one item per user, household and/or IP address. Once any item is ordered during the 29 hour period, the limit for that user/IP address/household has been reached. Any purchases made in contravention of any such applicable restrictions or conditions may be cancelled by Click Frenzy and any monies refunded.

  • +1

Goodluck everyone with the Go Nuts deals. I like that they have changed the process of getting the deals this time around.

    • Last time they did something similar it was questions that no one could really know except insiders, so basically guessing games.

      • I hope it is not a random guess question. Example being "How many people visited the luggage category in the November 2018 event?" That wouldn't attract many people (including me) to their pages.

        • +1

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 4 or 5 times…

      • The last 99% off deals were questions regarding their own deals or sites. The guessing game ones about the amount of traffic and such were in the month after where they had 'excess stock' of items from the cancelled orders I believe.

    • It will be good if the emails actually arrive on time.

I have a feeling it’ll be delayed again, especially since they’ve changed the process of the 99% deals

  • +27

Ah Click Bait Frenzy is back.

    • +7

      Minus the Frenzy.

    • -2

it should eb banned from here, the whole sites a scam

  • +5

Good luck to everyone willing to spend hours to try to secure a deal.

I'd rather pay extra than play this silly video game again.

  • +1

I'm tempted to 'play' again. It's so stupid of me but I'll probably find myself trying to grab a 99% off deal.

Go Nuts is very accurate. I go nuts every year trying.

    • At least this year it's about "Accuracy" first… whatever that means

      1. Answers will be ranked by accuracy first, speed second.
      • +3

It's the same as earlier. If you got answer wrong, you were out.

By the sound of it, the only difference is that they skipped the whole cart etc, so it's basically just the first step. Which makes it more about answering the question quickly and less about knowing the checkout process and pre-filling address and payment details etc.

    • Have I ever told you the definition of insanity?

  • -2

got an apple watch last time, let's see if I can get that s10e this time :D

    • Aww, you're making the people cry. I haven't won in these ones, but picked up some of the Gearbest ones when they were doing them.

      • yeah i wasn't expecting downvotes yeesh.

  • +2

Anyone received any emails about the go nut deal time frames?

  • +1

Oh no here we go again

  • +8
  • The website is already open for me?

  • +8

Don’t know about other folks, but I’ve largely found clickfrenzy to be fairly underwhelming; lots of promises but not much substance. Could just be me, or maybe I’m expecting too much. I guess time will tell.

    • +3

yeah i dont ever buy anything from these, just have a try for the go nuts deals

      • +1

Fair enough. I hope you win something this year :)

    • +3

Yep, it's not like black friday sales. Basically discounts the same as a normal sale would be or reduced to the same level you can buy stuff online usually anyway. It's also limited to older stock they need to shift. Nothing special at all.

It's literally just a way for them to add referral tracking cookies on your device to earn commission on purchases you make.

      First go nuts deals: https://i.imgur.com/L0haAvB.jpg

      • Well I don’t like that at all. Seems shady to some extent (adding the cookies), but then again I’m probably fairly naive when it comes to my expectations of privacy when using the Internet; I’m beginning to consider I probably have none.

So it’s basically akin to a digital version of going to Harbor Town and entering a raffle at the food court?

  • Have they even announced those super click deals or whatever yet?

    • i made an account and havent recieved any emails

    • +1

Just received an email about 5 minutes ago. It seems to indicate the first go wild deals won’t start until 8pm.

      • Tonight or tomorrow night?

  • +1

has anyone actually succeeded getting a go nuts deal in the past?

    • +1

Yep, I got one last time.

    • +1

I've gotten one for the past three deals

    • +1

      no

    • Got the TV but took them 2 months to actually ship it.

      • wow!
im actually surprised so many people succeeded. Are the questions hard?

        • +1

There were questions like "Brand X sells an item called A, B, and what?" so you would quickly search up the brand and try to figure out what the correct word/phrase would be in the position of "C".

The questions were all related to the site, so the search bar was the most helpful.

          • @Kolkolnut: thanks for that

          • @Kolkolnut: Doesn't sound like it's multi choice? So you have to fill in the blank?

            • @ChronoSphinx: Yes, the blank was the answer you required last year. Another example is "What item is worn on your face and is also shaped as an inflatable pool toy advertised by Clark Rubber?" etc.

    • nope

    • +1

Yep, got the TV last year. Picked it up from their office.

Got an Xbox in the one earlier last year.

    • +1

I won an Xbox last year

    • +1

Yep, I managed to get a Nintendo Switch last year :)

  • +7

    8pm-9pm

    Apple watch | $5
    Uber $150 voucher | $1

    9pm-10pm

    Visa $100 | $1
    Samsung S10e | $12

    Image: https://i.imgur.com/WytfcrE.png

    • Thanks for the update!

    • +1

was this by email? …I didn't get any email D:

      • +1

Yep, by email - got it at 6:50PM AEST

        • I got the email, but will the deals be emailed to us? How do we get the link for the "go nuts" deals?

          • @ChronoSphinx: Via the notification bell at the top… once they fix their site.

        • Definitely didn't get an email nor spambox ><
…maybe its because I signedup via facebook?

          • +2

@sudapha: Click Frenzy are notoriously unreliable for sending out emails to everyone, you can probably just keep an eye on this thread though for updates regarding item timings. Just double check you are subscribed though by doing it again, they are likely to disqualify you if you win a prize but not subscribed.

          • @sudapha: I signed up via Facebook and just got an email from them… 7:15pm

    • +1

      Nothing at 7?

      • +1

That's all that is in the email. Looks like first ones will be at 8pm.

        21/5 8pm-9pm AEST: $150 Uber Vouchers $1 & Apple Watches $5
        9pm-10pm AEST: $100 Click Frenzy VISA Cards $1 & Samsung Galaxy S10E Phones $12

Remember, the process to secure a 99% off bargain is slightly different this year. Check out the new process here.

        • Cool thanks, I haven't received email yet. Do we still refresh with the notification to get it faster?

          • @fruxo: I'm not completely sure if it's better to refresh or just wait.

Just make sure you have your account setup and logged in, the website also recommends turning on browser notifications.

            • @hamza23: The only time I agreed to browser notifs. But seems like it doesn't alert at all. Have to manually go on the site and check top right anyway!

              • @capslock janitor: Yeah no Chrome notifications here either, I asked a couple others and it's the same for them, it doesn't appear CF have setup the browser notifications despite their instructions.

  • Will eBay be doing anything for this click frenzy?

    • They aren't listed as participating.

    • They have "PHONO" code for electronics

Sometimes not direct participants but they host their own sales about the same dates

  • +2

Site is bugged for me, cant see timer or alert notification box

    • Same

    • ditto no timer or notification

  • Damn already missed out on the Go Nuts Deals - didn't get any notifications.

    • They don't start until 8pm AEST

  • So, was it meaning by 'notification'?

    • There was a notification icon on the site which has now disappeared for some reason :o

      • Where was it located?

      • …no notification for me :S

      • The icon is back…

        https://imgur.com/a/UGkwWaj

        • Not for me. Weird.

          EDIT: shown now

        • Not for me :(
          Yes I tried refreshing.

          Edit: now working.

          • +1

@pennypincher98: so it took one minute for icon to appear after other users, then imagine the notification

            • +1

@Pricebeat: I'm hoping the notification will be instant otherwise the 8-9pm one will be all I'm doing.

  • -4

I dont get it. Where is my $12 samsung s10e?

  • Have they clarified if you can compete and "win" multiple prizes, as long as you only claim 1 of them? Or will "winning" multiple prizes disqualify you even if you don't claim them?

    • +4

I don't have an answer, it's not really clear in the terms. However, in my experience, once you win a prize it's best to pat yourself on the back and go do something else less mind numbing :) It's hard enough to win 1 let alone multiple and it's not worth risking losing all your prizes by trying to get a better one.

Keep in mind if you claimed a 2nd prize, that it would really be up to Click Frenzy as to which one you receive, assuming they don't completely disqualify you. Click Frenzy aren't exactly easy to contact either.

  • +1

I'm guessing they didn't like how people had auto-fillers and issues with checkouts. So now it's just whoever answers it correct and fastest gets a coupon code so they can checkout at their own pleasure.

    • +1

which makes sense, than going all the way to check after filling all details to find out it was never meant to be

  • The Click Frenzy has even managed to kill Shopback.

  • The timer and notification bell just appeared…

  • Yeah just saw it has appeared now for me too!

  • what's more reliable to keep checking, email account or the bell notification on their website?

    • +1

      Notification all the way.

  • Is now the best time to buy a reliable 2 in 1 laptop?

    • +1

To be honest, you'll have more luck at JB/HN on the 30th/31st May. They'll want to meet their sales targets and if they haven't, will cut you a nice discount in order to get them over the line.

I don't find myself buying anything major in these sales because they are no better than usual sales.

      • Thanks, do you think I should wait until the 30th/31th for JB hifi or try to swoop a laptop from Lenovo now? I'm very in-experienced

        • Well you know your budget and what you expect to get for it. If you find at JB/HN it's not being met, just walk out and come back the next day (not the 1st obviously)- see what they offer.

          Few things
          - managers can do better discounts most of the time than sales members.
          - display models are cheaper if available
          - and of course, use discounted gift cards (don't show them until payment - as far as they know you're paying with cash).

  • Do you need to keep refreshing the page for the notification or will it appear on time without refreshing the page at all?

    • thats what i want to know

      • yes

        • You need to keep refreshing for notification to appear??
I thought it would come by itself.

    • I don't think it's completely clear. The FAQ's wording suggests it'll appear without refreshing

    • +1

From what I can tell, the getmessage runs every time I switch back onto the page. So if I click on this tab to check this thread, then click back on clickfrenzy tab, it runs the getmessage routine.

    • Last time you did not need to refresh, there will just be a number 1 appear on the bell at some point.

  • nothing yet…

  • I want an S10 bruh!

    • s10e

    • an apple watch would be neat haha i have a samsung watch i cant use cause i have a iphone

  • Anyone want to make time predictions? I'm guessing first one at 8:34pm

    • 8:59pm

      • There's two to be given out though :)

        • +1

          8:58pm to uber
          8:59pm for apple watch

    • 8:13pm

    • 8:32pm

    • 8:30pm

    • +2

      9:28pm

I'm betting the notification system will be broken

      • hopefully not like last time

    • 8:17pm

    • 8:23pm

    • 8:27 & 8:55

    • 8:21pm, 2nd once 8:54pm.

  • So does the "notification" make an audible sound/pop up or do you just have to keep refreshing and clicking the notification icon?

  • 8:13pm

  • 8:24

  • Damnit I forgot to make a big coffee before kick-off.

  • Who is here won something from last time?

    • Quite a number of people. On the first page of this thread someone asked the same thing.

    • I didn't

  • we are go

  • +6

It's up. Answer is Click Frenzy Travel

    • Oh. I just put “Travel”. Bugger.

      • They might only be after keywords like 'Travel'.
        Hope you win!

  • haha its broken, doesnt ask u the question

  • GO NUTS $150 UBER VOUCHER: https://www.research.net/r/BNVVLVF

Click the above link to answer this question: What is the name of the Click Frenzy event held in August each year?

  • nevermind, thats hopeless.. i didnt see the question on the notification and anticipated it would be on the next page…

  • Interesting format this year

    • anyone think there is a way to autofill the survey?

      • +1

Autofill was popping up for question 3 (contact information) but not any of the others

  • Wtf. I still have to put in all details despite being logged in. Same for everyone? Took me forever. Also really hard to navigate the form. I thought the whole point was to make it fairer and less about who can fill in details the fastest. I'm guessing that form shouldn't appear if logged in. I think I answered question wrong regardless.

  • First one is up! Uber voucher

  • Who here hasn't won something from last time?

    • me

    • Never won anything! Entered pretty much all of them.

  • Good time to get my coffee.

  • GO NUTS DEAL - $150 UBER VOUCHER

    https://bit.ly/2WTyHtB

Click the above link to answer this question: What is the name of the Click Frenzy event held in August each year?

    2019-05-21 20:11:42

  • Click the above link to answer this question: What is the name of the Click Frenzy event held in August each year?

  • So if we didn't get an email, we are not successful right?
What if we miss the next deal waiting for the email lol

    • If you're not successful they sent me "Sorry you didn't win" emails.

But I'm curious since I'm sure I got some answers correctomundo, but no emails.

  • What was the answer for the question?

    • Click Frenzy Travel I think. I incorrectly wrote Click Frenzy Mayhem. Turns out you can not submit a second time.

    • Click Frenzy Travel

    • Was it "Go Wild Treasure Hunt"

  • +3

No chrome notification or email. Just have to keep looking at the little bell.

  • Click Frenzy Travel Sales … at least I think it is. On further review I think it's just 'Click Frenzy Travel'

    • It's Click Frenzy Travel

    • Google says "Travel Frenzy" for me.

  • +1

Dangit, I wrote click frenzy junior, is an event, just not in august!

  • I got the notification but want to go for the Samsung S10e. Does it make sense to skip the first 99% off deal and wait for the s10e or just apply for all

    • Apply for all, it's harder than it looks.

    • That probably would've been smart :/

    • yeah go for the s10e

  • +1

So what happens if we guess multiple Click Frenzy 99% deals correctly? Can we choose which voucher we want to apply for and win?

    • the first one you get correct

    • no, you get the cheapest item

    • I believe it is your first win that counts. At least that's what it stated in T&C during the last event.

      • +1

Oof, I hope that Uber voucher is transferrable then.

        • +1

It should just be a code that you enter on the app

  • How many vouchers up for grabs? I can't find it in the ts and cs

    • lol probs like 2 or something

  • If you are successful, you will receive an email from Click Frenzy with a unique discount code to complete your purchase at a 99% discount on the RRP!

    When will this be?
I want to know if I have 'won' or have just submitted.

    • I remember somewhere in the link for uber they said the team will be reviewing the answers. So it may take a while

    • Think I remember reading within 30 minutes somewhere…

      • Yeah

      • +2

The 30 minutes refers to the time frame where you need to answer the question so it will likely take longer than 30 minutes…

  • did anyone get the email yet?

    • +8

      I've got 41 ozbargain emails :)

    • +1

I got trolled by a welcome to Frenzy email.

  • +3

Whats more important, y12 maths exam tomorrow or click frenzy?

    • +6

99% off, you do the math

      • +5

        99% off your math test

  • +1

10362 people clicked… lol not liking my chances here :/

    • Where do you see the click count?

      • the bitly link XD

      • +3

add a + at the end of the link.

        e.g: https://bit.ly/2WTyHtB+

      • +2

put a + after the link provided by click frenzy and you will see the stats

      • +1

Add a '+' to the end of the bit.ly link to see the statistics

    • Wait until the s10e goes live

    • 11,387 now…

  • I need to go dunny, but odds are second i do i'll miss out, HURRRRRY UPPPPP

    • take your device to the toilet with you

      • Neg, better chances on pc than a mobile

    • nah itll be near end

      • the clock is ticking

    • If you enter, you've got a 1 in 11,548 chance of winning so far

      • +1

you have to be the first one. So no chances left

      • So many incorrect assumptions: number of items being offered, number of actual entries vs clicks, number of correct entries, speed of correct entries.

  • +1

So basically, if you have a slow connection or high ping you've got not chance of winning?

    • less chance, because the first few people may not answer the question correctly

  • Apple watch 15 minutes left

  • GO NUTS DEAL-APPLE WATCH

    https://bit.ly/2YKEUsl

  • anyone know the answer to the apple watch?

  • Any predictions for the next question?
Might be a question about event time given the prize is a watch…

  • What did people guess for the Apple Watch question?
    I went 7500 lol

  • What the heck was the question?

    • How many deals were on the first Click Frenzy Mayhem Sale back in 2015?

      https://bit.ly/2YKEUsl

      • 'You have already taken this survey.'

        I didn't see the question,

Perhaps because I have Dark Reader add on and it covered the question, owell

        • The question is on the notification on the CF page not on the form page.

  • What was the answer?

Also I didn't click through the very last button… but then I read now "click next to complete submission". Do we think the last click (after submitting all details) is needed?

    • I believe so! If you don't click the 2nd next button, your submission won't be complete.

      • +1

Jesus. Well there goes like 2 min on my submission time. My answer was "over 1500". Probably not correct regardless. How annoying.

    • Yes

  • i went 8

    • Alright, mate, think that answer over a bit more. I'm sorry to say you probably won't be getting an email.

      • yeah most likely no email haha, i thought it was how many go nuts they had

  • I misread.. I wrote 1552… I thought it was ALL the deals hahahaha next time. 12 was the likely answer I'm guessing

    • The question was vague. Not sure if they meant the 99% deals or all deals. I think all deals.

      • +1

It was for the mayhem sale. Assuming that it's the same as this year's mayhem sale, the amount of items I can see for sale in the categories total 181, so I'm still way off hahaha

over 1,500 deals man, looks like you're pretty close!

    • +2

You might be okay, this link says over 1300

  • Got a 10 minute toilet and coffee making break everyone!

  • Do you have to refresh or will the notification automatically pop up?

    • +1

Automatically pops up (little 1 next to the bell, no actual (1) on Chrome Tab is sent though)

    • it popped up for me

    • automatically popped up for me

    • It will automatically pop up.

    • It automatically shows in the menu bar. Don't know about anyone else but I'm not getting actual Chrome notifications though

    • It just appeared next the bell icon as '2', nothing flashy came up

(For me, even after enabling notifications from this site)

  • According to this

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/220070

    IOt says 112

  • -1

They don't say to put the exact number. Would my technically correct answer of 0+ be accepted?

  • +6

these questions are so confusing i dont want to do it anymore

    • +2

Yeah, extremely bad questions when we can't even figure it out afterwards.

  • +2

I don't like how we don't know if we are voiding ourselves out of all prizes by submitting another.

    • i know… the detailed T and Cs page doesnt work

    • +1

It says "once any item is ordered the limit is reached" which I take to mean once a discount code has actually been used, item paid for. It says nothing about receiving more than one discount code. I hope I'm not wrong but I think we're ok to keep answering questions until we input a discount code at checkout.

  • +8

This is the type of question I was talking about earlier. Doesn't matter if you waited the whole hour for this. You can still have no idea and be completely off. Not a fan of these type of questions. At least make it something we can get the answer to making it worthwhile to get it first.

  • Next question going to be about click frenzy: How many people complaints about click frenzy?

    • +1

I don't think they'd want us to know..

  • -1

I answered twice, once for myself and the other (via incognito) for my wife.

    • +6

Be careful doing that, it is one per household and they track IP addresses

      • Different address and VPN or via mobile?

        • That is basically what you have to do if you want to claim more than one.

      • -1

Only applies to purchases not entries?

"The limit of purchases for the entire duration of the Click Frenzy Go Nuts sale (between 19:00 AEST May 21, 2019 and 23:59 AEST May 22, 2019) is one item per user, household and/or IP address. Once any item is ordered during the 29 hour period, the limit for that user/IP address/household has been reached. Any purchases made in contravention of any such applicable restrictions or conditions may be cancelled by Click Frenzy and any monies refunded."
        Terms and Conditions

        • You would think so, but who knows with Click Frenzy, hopefully they don't disqualify multiple entries(not orders) from the same IP address

  • +1

who would even know the exact number of deals for that year? you would have to be an insider…

    • +9

Click Frenzy employees will be sporting new Apple watches in the next few weeks.

  • +2

Can't say I'm a fan of this new system. I missed out in 2017 and I got a dash cam in 2018 so I've been on both sides and the old system was still 'fair'. It's a competitive sport, people. Now we're playing a guessing game with vague questions and we have no way of knowing if it's even correct at the time of submitting it. How long are they going to take to send the discount codes? If their shipping time from November is anything to go by …

    • I agree completely, 2017 was WAY too difficult and just confusing all around. 2018 had much more of a chance to play the 'game' and win prizes. The notifications introduction was brilliant, and the speed at which you were going to get answer the questions (which ACTUALLY had answers as opposed to this guessing game) was what made it somewhat fun. This is like "type in your answer and you could be right but we'll let you knwo what we decide in 3-4 hours". I lost interest by last night… Really bad strategizing by them/their marketing team.

  • Meanwhile we'll all still be venting when the S10e pops up.

  • +2

The question for the Samsung s10e would probably be how much ad revenue did we generate in November's click frenzy

    • I remember those days where we have to continuously refresh the page

  • I found a comment from a Click Frenzy spokesperson in an article that says "nearly 2000 deals". Are we supposed to guess the number or actually type "nearly 2000"?

    • Must be 1999 then. Some ridiculous questions.

      • Someone said they were successful with 1368. If that's 'nearly 2000' then I guess I was 'nearly successful'.

  • Anyone buy anything in the sales on their site? I bought some clothes for DS from Cotton On…and saved about $40 off a hotel booking. That's it.

  • +3

Did anyone get an email with the winning code?

  • +5

They turned it into a "Guess how many lollies in the jar?". Someone will guess the exact number.

  • +4

    10pm - 11pm - Go Pro 7
    6am - 7am - Nespresso
    7am - 8am - Dash Cam
    8am - 9am - $200 Bunnings

    • +2

Just got trolled with this thought it was the winning email :(
Probably have the most chance at 6am haha

    • from email?

      • Yep - received it at 9:10pm

        • Mine was at 9:12pm. You must be at the start of the batch emails.

    • +1

      thanks for the update dtryan

    • Awesome. I’ll be in front of a computer at work from 6am onwards.

  • +1

About only thing bit below normal prices was $100 spend at Woolies $10 off . @ ing waste of time most of it .

  • +3

Not gonna lie… not too bothered with this $100 voucher crap, the s10e is the real deal

  • The Apple watch question just like asking people to guess a lottery number.

    • +1

And like the lottery, someone will probably end up winning.

Holy molly -> so the question for the Apple Watch discount is this:

"How many deals were on the first Click Frenzy Mayhem Sale back in 2015?"

srs? like we have a chance to randomly guess that number?

Talk about Click Bait! "yes - get in the draw for an apple watch for 5$ … but first, randomly pick a number from 1 - 1000"

  • 92?

    • Yup, but i hope you already submitted the answer before posting.

    • I got 92 as well…

    • Damn. I got confused right at the end and ended up with 82.

    • I got 168, how'd y'all get 92??

      • 23x4

    I answered 92

    Ref: https://www.clickfrenzy.com.au/shopback.html

    • Damn, I put 91.
      Says Aliexpress + 90

Well I screwed that up. Completed quickly too.

And on that link I keep on getting 88. I think I need to go to bed lol Finally counted 92.

  • 92

  • I got 92

  • 92

  • Has anybody received a winning notification?

    • i thought i might get one for the last answer as it didnt take me 4000 googles to find it but already about 4 post with the answer here

      • I put 43, based off Ozb. What did google say?

  • +1

Ugh. The $100 VISA notification went live at 21:22:58 yet I got it at 21:23:39.
Some lucky guys get it earlier than others I think :(

  • +2

Next up after the Galaxy S10e:

    GoPro Hero7s $4
    Notification Between 10-11 pm (AEST)

    Nespresso Machines $2
    Notification Between 6-7am (AEST) tomorrow

    Garmin Dash Cams $3
Notification Between 7-8 am (AEST) tomorrow

    Bunnings Vouchers ($200) $2
Notification Between 7-8 am (AEST) tomorrow

    • am??? eww. Its a max of one go nuts purchase per user for the whole event anyways.

      • Yeah, added prize of winning something tonight is that you get to sleep in. Although we don't even know if CF have sent out any winning emails yet so you might not know.

        • Doubt they would be working at 10pm to look through potentially thousands of responses to find that nobody knows how many deals they had in 2015.

          • @ATangk: That's true, it might be days before the winners are known if that's the case.

            • @hamza23: It mentions that the deals are available until thursday for winners, so they have to get it done sooner rather than later…

          • @ATangk: The responses are most likely going to an inbox and they have rules setup to sort out the correct answers based on the 1 field. So the coupons should be coming out pretty quick if it's done this way.

            • @cuball: oh true but i like to think theyre suffering…

  • +1
    • +1
      • Agreed, I got it wrong!! :(

      • well that's confusing. I wonder which is right?

    • double up of brands in there

      • True.. I got it wrong!

    • That is showing offers and has duplicates. I didn't check much, but at least the last row has 2 adrenaline offers.

    • Congrats!

    • -1

Can you share the voucher :D?

    • +2

      Thanks everyone!

I believe you have until midnight tomorrow to claim prizes(22/5 - 11:59pm). My answer was "Click Frenzy Travel" to that particular question

  • +8

The phone is going to be a stupid question like pageviews, ad clicks or something dumb like that…

    • i hope so, I got the links up and ready.

      • What answer did you come up with?

        • 6 million. Ended up being a random guess. Cause i didn't look up every event. Oh well.

    • BINGO

    • you called it lol

      • You are right…Whats the next one?

        • +2

Apparently there's a Macbook, I bet it'll be "How many Go Wild/Nuts deals have we cancelled for no reason whatsoever during all Click Frenzies?"

  • anything?

    • +1

      not yet

  • How many clicks,.. wtf

  • Thanks clickfrenzy. 2/4 are complete guesses. Great. Really ruined this event for me.

Click the above link to answer this question: How many total clicks have been recorded across all Click Frenzy Mayhem events?

    LOL

  • Wtf is the 4th question….

  • +1

    lamest possible question

  • see this is just stupid i misread as to how many click frenzy mayhem events there were

  • +2

shitty question but I put 5.6 million

    • +1

      I too googled the answer

    • Looks like that's just for 2017 but honestly who knows at this point

      • I assumed that value was for up to 2017, so i added the 2018 numbers to it. Hope for the best but at this point its not worth trying. We dont even know how many units they have for sale, for all we know it may not reach the required posting guidelines…

      • I should have put more but whatever

  • Looks like someone might have excess stock :P

  • +2

Ok, I give up. These questions are stupid. I thought it would be real questions and not a freaking lottery.

  • +1

Ok (profanity) this shit, I'm out after that question. Completely down to luck

  • I put 9 million, but most likely more

    • I went for 10 Million.

  • 45974
Edit: Rip, thought it was just this event

  • Lol, another lottery number. I give up, keep up mates.

  • I'm out that's just stupid guessing. Deals aren't that good either.

    • Those grapes were probably sour anyway :p

  • +1

have to agree now. These questions are stupid. Everyone is literally guessing these. Congrats to people that do manage to win, but this year is all luck.

  • +3

There's a good reason why CF get so much hate every year, that last question is case in point

    • Question wasn't clear as well… total unique clicks or just overall?

  • +1

They may as well just scrap the question method and just implement a "join competition" button…

  • You ganna hire some IT experts to hack their database to get the click result.

  • 1 billion just from the number of refreshes by playing this silly competition.

  • +1

total waste of time, they made people wait for hrs just to play their stupid lottery game

  • Well, I put 1 Billion clicks. All events are a lot of clicks from 2015

  • lol what trash questions, waste of everyone's time.

  • I guessed 43 million…lol…

The questions are too vague. Across all events since 2012?

Oh well…just a bit of fun.

You win some, you lose some!

    • It's almost a trick question because Click Frenzy started in 2012 but didn't launch Mayhem until 2015.

      • oooo….that is tricky!

Guess I'm not winning then! hahaha

        • +1

It's just a prime example of how silly their questions are.

          • @Bluellama21: Also Mayhem is going on right now so …. we are assuming its 2015-2018
They should do a few giveaways instead of annoying us all.

    • Too vague. Click on deals or clicks on any part of the website?

  • +3

Nah, I see why everyone hates Click Frenzy. Dis my first time and my last time.

(profanity) this shit i'm out jumps into a wall head first

  • +5

    If I guessed correctly, I shouldn't have to pay $12 for it…

  • +1

The amount of hate is going to triple. I was so excited for Click Frenzy. Not anymore. Wild guesses doesn't make it a more level playing field. I'm sorry, but it doesn't.

  • Well, I'm off, no point staying here anymore

  • +3

Well, I'm glad that last question was so stupid. It makes the decision obvious to sit out and frees up time for other things!

    • +1

Agreed… that last question was the killing blow to my interest for this competition.

  • I just used the first number from an RNG between 10 million and 100 million.

    • +3

Probably what Click frenzy is going to do to get the answer.

  • No point in staying, I'm guessing they're gonna continue to do these lottery questions tonight. Like across all mayhem events just today? or all time since 2012 including today? Isnt the number ever changing then. Too vague.

  • the questions are ridiculous.
ok whats next, the go pro? lol

    • +1

Yep, only the Go Pro for tonight left and then tomorrow 6-7am is a Nespresso Machine

  • so did the number of clicks include clicks for this mayhem sale, up to the timing that the question was displayed?
    honestly flapping ridiculous vague q's.

    • +1

Not just this Mayhem sale… ALL Mayhem sales since 2015.
      Hence all the outrage above.

    • I didn't think of this, I just added the numbers from the stats of 2015-2018

      • where did you even get the stats for those years? I could only find the 5.6 million number.

        • I googled it an found articles referring to the numbers of clicks from the previous years

      • well the question is vague enough, it could include clicks that have occured during this mayhem sale so far.

  • +1

GoPro one is probably going to be some ass like "How much did customers save in last years Click Frenzy Mayhem?

    • +1

"How many Click Frenzy employees are currently laughing at people attempting to get the right answer?"

  • 20 seconds to randomly guess a number and chance to win a phone.

I'd just waste that 20 seconds anyway.

  • +1

the GoPro offer will come up at 1059pm just to torture us

  • +7

This questions seems to be designed for employees of Click Frenzy.
The general public don't have access to the information, the best we can do is guess a number from a massive range of numbers.
I would have preferred a puzzle or a treasure hunt but this number guessing is just a waste of time.

    • agreed

    • +1

As bad as people might have thought this competition was in the past, this is by far the worst version IMO. If I wanted to join a random draw, I would have entered any of the million random draw competitions out there.

    • +1

I would have preferred a puzzle or a treasure hunt but this number guessing is just a waste of time.

Like the OzBargain Easter Treasure Hunt

  • Gift Vouchers/Cards seem to have questions that can actually be answered. Products like the phone and watch only have questions that could really only be guessed.

    • I don't think they want to give it away

  • So far, only 1 person on ozbargain has reported a win… at least that's encouraging lol

    • -2

lol what did this person win??? and where is this report of a win
yet another scam from click frenzy

  • Whoever guesses the closest number wins… What were all your guesses?
I saw a figure of 2017 clickfrenzy reporting at 3.3 Mil visits. Estimating that they increased by around twice every year from 2015 I guessed 5.8 mil.

    • That's the number of visits, they are asking for number of clicks. I've seen a couple of articles mentioning how many clicks were recorded for whatever year but they're always for the November event not the May one. But your guess is as probably as good as any with the type of questions they're asking…

  • I got an email!! a rejection email.

    • +1

What did it say?? Multiple accounts?

      • +1

it's a you have been unsuccessful email for the Uber voucher

  • I got 17…..

  • +3

I think this game will piss enough people off that they wont ever want to buy anything from them.
    Bad publicity.

  • +4

    Rigged

  • +4

This is honestly stupid. Completely wasted my time staying up for these questions.

  • +3

Don't mind answering questions to get the chance at snaring good deal. But who thought of those flaming questions… Talk about ambiguous to say the least. Would have been better if the results were randomly selected :-)

    • The shopback question for example was fine (if answer was 92). If they had simply kept those kind of questions for the more expensive prizes too, it would have been ok.

The form was a bit annoying, but since it was mostly pre-filled second time, it wasn't too bad.

  • Any news on the apple watch or other prizes? I got an unsuccessful for the watch.

OMG I GOT THE SAMSUNG S10E. MY ANSWER WAS A COMPLETE GUESS (4,970,XXX) THIS IS INCREDIBLE. THINGS LIKE THIS LITERALLY NEVER HAPPEN TO ME. JUST FINISHED THE PAYMENT. ACTUALLY CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!! HOLY MOLY.

I wonder how many others won :o

I am actually so speechless right now and still shaking.

    Mod: Comment edited.

    • lol gratz but no bueno on that resale price…

    • Congratulations!

You probably won because a quick Google showed that last year alone was like 4 million, so your number is way low and makes no sense ;)

Then again, it's exactly the kind of nonsense answer I expected from click frenzy.

Thanks for the follow up, very interesting.

  • +5

Woke up to a congrats email for the $5 Apple watch, my guess was 1368.

    • +1

Well done. I reckon they are looking for answers closest to the true answer for some of these questions, like the number of deals and the total clicks one. Then there'd be others they want the exact answer for.

      • Thanks, it's definitely just luck on this one as the indication I found was over 1300+, I then went with the thought process that some people would guess 1325/1350 etc so a number just above that and thats the one that jumped into my head at the time.

My theory is that it's either they've gone with closest which would of been practically impossible to guess or just randomly drawn from those in the the right range that's been pre-allocated.

Do actually prefer the clear answers like the 'Click Frenzy Travel's as at least you know you're in with a shot with those ones.

Not complaining about the cards that were dealt though. Also for your own reference the congrats email came through approx 1 1/2 hours after the question went live in my case.

Good luck to all the others on the upcoming draws.

    • Haha, that's ridiculous. I went through old emails and I have some from click frenzy saying 2000+ deals in the title. There's no point in even trying to be accurate then.

But yeah, congratulations, good to hear someone is winning at least.

  • +1

Good morning, good luck to everyone who’s playing today!

  • Anyone else feeling like a total sucker for punishment right now?

  • 10 minutes to go and still no Nespresso…

They obviously want to keep as many people on the website for as long as possible by stringing us along…makes sense ._."

  • Frenzy bucks!
sht I should probably put it in the survey… XD

    • Lol I was typing all the fields as fast as I cod on my phone but I don't think it was fast enough

  • Finally, a question that actually relates to Click Frenzy that we can all answer.

  • I got it too, surely we won. Less then 1 minute!

    • About a 1 in 520 chance based on the link clicks … would take worse odds i guess… I defs spent way too much time on filling in the damn form :/

  • They'll probably do something like only accept it if it's all in capital letters as shown in the email. If only I could find a way to feel more positive about this year's frenzy.

    • that and have like… 1 Nespresso machine

      • From the November forum it seemed like they actually had a decent amount of stock - decent considering it's 99% off - there were at least ten people in the forum that got the TV, same with the MacBook. I'm just utterly disappointed with the way they're running this one.

  • Another email from Click Frenzy with more deals … but no discount code for the Nespresso. Sigh.

  • +1

Surprisingly I got the $100 Visa. Submitted my answer about 2mins after the question came out and I thought that might have been too slow.

    • Yay! Well done.

      • Thanks! :). Good luck to everyone for today's questions!

  • What's next up?

    • Bunnings $200 voucher, Garmin dashcam. I got the dash cam last year. It's awesome :o)

  • I'm not going for this one - answer is 365

How many brands are participating in the 2019 Click Frenzy Mayhem event?

    • I thought I counted 391 here: https://www.clickfrenzy.com.au/brands.html

      • +1

Yeah. I just went back and did the same thing - got 399 this time. I had counted them last night, thinking this is likely going to be a question at some point. Latecomers to the party?

  • +1

Thanks! :). Good luck to everyone for today's questions!

    • Entirely typical the only answer I actually already knew

  • 381
    *365???

    • I just recounted them and it's now 399. What the actual?

      • … i have 393?? I saw a duplicate in there

        • It's official. This is doing my head in.

  • It's whatever Click Frenzy determines at the time you submit your answer apparently.

    • XD lol

  • Does Bardot and Bardot Junior count as separate brands? ¯(°_o)/¯

  • Is it me or nothing is really that discounted ?

    • is it over? lol

    • +1

The Go Nuts "deals" are good but as rare as dragon's blood. The standard deals are okay, better off browsing OzBargain than the main Click Frenzy page.

  • +6

Thought I would bring some order to the "mayhem". Here is a progressively updating list of the questions and answers according to OzBers. Help in completing would be appreciated! :) The little "?" answers are just mine - take with some salt!

Click the above link to answer this question: How many pairs of shoes can be seen on the "Men's Footwear" sub-category page?

65? if you count lone different shoes as a pair

    • I didn't count the lone shoes

      • I hope one of us is right

  • Pairs, or matching pairs ;)

  • Still don't know if you're meant to count only the blue boxes or everything on the page

    1. I wrote 37. (profanity) forgot the "Hype" shoes at the top
  • I put 44 because I think the question was asking for deals for men's footwear. So I think there were 44 squares to click on, noting some are double ups… :S

  • Hot tip - make sure you're not in a search result before going to the category… I just counted the pairs of shoes in Men's Footwear that have "free shipping". Doh.

  • Is the Bunnings voucher the last one? Is this finally over?

    • +1

Yeah, not even close to over. Still got another day and half the night of this to go…

  • I got 37, not counting the slippers 😭

  • I got 44 but Im not sure how fast I was. Included the shoes in the banner at the top so im not sure if thats correct

  • What category did you all put down?

    • Electronics

    • Men's underwear. Not even sure if it's right but I'm on mobile with a bandaid on my thumb so I won't win anyway.

    • mens footwear lol

    • Menswear

    • Laptop & Desktop. I'm probably wrong. I googled searched it and found it in an 2013 OzB post

    • Technology was the 2nd thing that came to mind.

  • Wow, filling out the form takes ages! I was way too slow on that one.

    • Gotta have auto-fill, it's pretty quick on iOS.

      • Yeah, it's self-inflicted because I'm at work :)

    Won the Nespresso

    CONGRATULATIONS

    Hi ,

You’ve been successful in your quest for the ‘Go Nuts’ Nespresso DeLonghi Inissia deal! All the information you need is below.

  • +1

I waited up until after 10pm last night, geez things we do to win anything lol, also early starts for me too, thanks Clonk Frenzy from all the sleepy eyed no hope winners, congrats to you guys who won,,, the questions are so stupid some of them,, tried dr google but obviously he is asleep. think next time i will get my beauty sleep instead. i dont even think the deals are that great, just make you buy something you didnt want in the first place,, and how the hell do you guys find your answers? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • I counted 66 towels

    • I got simiilar - about 68

    • I got 67, but I think I missed some sneaky ones on the Ikea trolley

    • Me too but was way too slow entering.

    • +2

I got 71. Wasn't sure if that first one from Sol was a towel, but I counted it.

    • I was a bit slow to respond so went with 64 on the off chance that's the answer they want.

    • I got 63, counted again got 65, then counted third time got 64 smh

  • +2

Is a face washer a towel? Do we count the bath mat that's in the 7 piece sets? I hate this year's Click Frenzy so much … but I can't walk away. No, I can't.

    • HEYY I remember you from last november!! AHA

      • What can I say, i like punishment. Nice to 'see' you again. Got anything so far?

        • Yes. About 8 unsuccessful emails LOL

  • i got 74 towels,,, but my eyes are crossed eyed so prob wrong

  • +1

    69, Lucky number

  • +2

even found myself putting in for the styler,, and i dont even use them,, and i have to work but find myself chained to the desktop,, anyone got an addiction program going? could call it cf anonymous

    • +2

i gifted the styler i won last year at christmas!! saved $$ haha

    • I work from home too. I'm purposely ignoring the lower value items just because I need a break. haha.

  • Morning, what have a I missed this morning, slept late (home with a virus)? My notification icon on the website is only showing the GHD at about 9.30am this morning.

    • +1

Is it the click frenzy fever?

You haven't missed much other than a lot of people not winning. GHD was the last deal - currently waiting for $100 Bunnings voucher.

  • +2

    Any minute now…

  • +3

I preferred it when it was a race, at least the questions had determined answers. Sure - it sucked when I got to the end but it was sold out, but at least I knew I had a chance instead of this "guess the jellybeans in the jar" questions.

I hope they have some easier questions for the rest of the sale lol

    • I didn't like the race format. But that's probably because I live in regional WA and using either mobile or 6yo desktop. At least with guessing jellybeans, no one has a particular advantage.

  • +6

Think the answer is the Beats solo3 Wireless headphones

    • +1

Agreed. The three prizes are: $200 Myer voucher, Beats solo3 Wireless headphones and a Fitbit Charge 2. The Beats retail for ~$250 and the FitBit retail for ~ $150.

  • Feeling like a big Homer Simpson D'oh moment. Thought they were asking about the exact price of the highest value good, not name.

  • +2

The only one with a price is the $200 Myer voucher. The link for the terms and conditions (which I would assume list the price of the Fitbit and headphones) is broken.

    • +1

It doesnt list the price, but the headphones are the most expensive of the three

  • +1

Who else read the question wrong like me xD. Stupid me put in the price

  • Anyone win anything this morning after the Nespresso Machine?

    • Nope, not yet anyway
Not successful with the bunnings voucher or nintendo switch.

    • 3 Ozbargainers said they won if you scroll back in the comments

    • 2374 that's what i got as well

      • +2

I went with 2375 counting today

        • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

        • I went with 2375 as well

      • bugger, i entered 10th november into my calculator in the haste! 2374 is correct.

    • The answer is 2373 not counting today
      I received the winning email

      • i put in 2374 and got a rejection email.

  • is that it for today? Any more go nuts deals?

    • +2

      Don't know the times but…

Click Frenzy VISA Cards ($200) for just $2
      MyDeal Mattresses for just $1
DJI Tello Drones for just $2
Samsung Galaxy Bud Earphones for just $2

      • How do you know that though?

        • Was on the bottom of a failed attempt email

  • +1

    UPCOMING DEALS:

UE Megaboom Speakers for just $2

    MyDeal Mattresses for just $1

DJI Tello Drones for just $2

Samsung Galaxy Bud Earphones for just $2

    • cool, thanks guys. Will keep an eye on emails. Meantime, back to work :S

      • Sneaky! ;) they'll be wondering why I'm taking so many bathroom breaks today

    • We just had the UE Megaboom. There's a $200 VISA to come. see above.

  • +1

Do we get a lunch break from noon to 1pm AEST?

  • -2

um.. these questions are stupid! How many days has it been since Click Frenzy's first event? ok so in australia or worldwide? and i googled it and cannot find the answer?

    • +3

      Not a stupid question.

I googled "First Click Frenzy Event"

      it showed 20th November 2012.

Then googled "Days since 20th November 2012"

  • Anyone received, you were not successful emails?

    • I received one for the Switch.

    • +1

I unfortunately have lots of them. The last I received was for the ghd @ 11:20am.

    • I've entered every one so far and haven't gone any emails

      • Are you subscribed to Click Frenzy? Have you received emails from them the past couple of days?

        • Yeah I made the account. Only received a welcome one and one when it started.

          • +1

@haydent: I think you need to subscribe to mailing list in addition to creating an account, if you hadn't already.

If you go to https://www.clickfrenzy.com.au/ and scroll down to the bottom, enter your email in the 'SUBSCRIBE TO OUR MAILING LIST' box

            • @hamza23: Ergh, that's annoying. Surely they could just do a check box when you register

              • @haydent: Yeah it's not very user friendly and their instructions aren't very clear, it also doesn't tell you if you've already subscribed so you end up just joining everything multiple times to be safe.

          • @haydent: Check junk box?

    • I got one - for the first thing - apple watch, haven't received one since and I have entered most of them.

      • Once you are successful and receive a coupon code for claiming the purchase of an item you are no longer eligible to receive any other coupon codes.

    • I received a bunch all within a minute or so of each other. Cyber delay due to traffic I'd expect

  • I'm seeing some familiar peeps from November's shipping debacle in here. Anyone been successful yet?

Do they have some sort of bot filtering out those previously successful or perhaps am I just growing more suspicious by the deal.

    • Was successful last time - nothing this time…… yet

      • was successful for the last 3 years, nothing yet right now

    • +1

It's a possibility, and deceptful at that. But we'll never know for sure unless from someone on the inside with proof.

Though I doubt it matters to them who wins or not.

  • +1

    Email dropped.
    Fifth big ticket item is:

Sony 65" UHD LED Smart TV $17

    Between 6-7 pm (AEST)

    • Guessing from the other big ticket items this event its gonna be one of the roll a random number kinda questions.

    • So I guess we all have the next 5hrs 45mins off?? Or, will there be other things in that timeframe?

      • See sween64 comment below just now. Got a 45 minute break then it starts again.

  • +4

    • MacBook Air - $14

  • im actually doubting this is fun, its torture, trying to go for a pee but scared i will miss the next one,, seeing as you only have like 30 seconds to put in and submit,, who can pee in that time????

      2019-05-22 13:22:31

    • 'Mydeal' has 21
      'My Deal' has 13.

      Who knows at this stage..

  • GO NUTS DEAL - MYDEAL MATTRESS

    https://bit.ly/2VFrjk7

Click the above link to answer this question: How many deals does My Deal have in the 2019 Click Frenzy Mayhem Event?

    2019-05-22 13:22:31

I counted 83 but not confidently

    • I replied with "A lot…." because not interested with the prize but still want to try haha

      • I answered 100,000 because I don't need a mattress and just wanted to see what the process was like this time around. Do you have to fill out the forms every time? That's very annoying.

I searched My Deal in the website and saw 11 in the first section and 72 in the bottom section. I don't know what is classified as a "deal", but my guess is the answer is one of 11, 72, or 83.

EDIT: Or 21/77/98 based on the number of deals on the mydeal brand page.

  • Fingers crossed this time

  • +1

How do i find the question to answer the "whats the answer to the question" ?

  • I got 96 but not sure if there's doubles in there?

    • I put 77 for just the bottom section on this page: https://www.clickfrenzy.com.au/mydealcomau.html

      • Does it count the 21 above it too? Then 98 could be the answer. This is very ambiguous this time around. At least last time the answers were pretty definitive.

  • Only just got my rejection email for the $100 Visa card and Go Pro.

  • Just a summary of what's coming up/left (see bottom of the main post for updates):

2pm-3pm AEST: DJI Trelio Drone $2
4pm-5pm AEST: Samsung Galaxy Bud Earphones $2
    5pm-6pm AEST: $200 VISA Cards $8
6pm-7pm AEST: Sony 65” UHD LED TV $17

Others (time TBA): Sodastreams $1, Macbook Air $14, LG Soundbar $4, Roomba Robotic Vacuum $6

  • If you have won a prize but not yet claimed it can you still attempt for new prizes?

    • apparently, once you place an order for the winning item, the order goes for review. Most likely, the attempts will be rejected at that stage.

  • +6

So it turns out Click Frenzy have refused my request for them to provide the answer to the number of clicks question for the Samsung phone. It makes me believe this promotion may not be fair to put it politely. Having a competition with questions but then not publishing correct answers seems a little suspect.

    • +1

Some kid acting like a baby got it here, he said 4,937,??? something

      • I thought they were trolling.

        • still need proof/screenshot from the "baby"

    • can we complain to some govt authority? That sounds like a very dodgy competition! They should be able to provide the answers to the competition.

      • +1

It would be a state by state legal basis for this trade promotion.
This promotion would be more of a skills based promotion.

A business can run a trade promotion as either:
        (1) a game of chance where all entrants have an equal chance of winning; or
        (2) a game of skill where the winner is chosen against set criteria.

        https://www.adma.com.au/compliance/what-you-need-to-know-abo…

In some states winners over items over $1000 are required to have their name published.

A Game of Skill is a trade promotion where the winner is decided by qualified or expert judges against set criteria.

The criteria has not been established IMO. To assess against a criteria the answer needs to be known.

        • Agree. They should release the answers. Maybe we should complain on their facebook page too. Generate more publicity about it. Get Current Affair on board!

  • +2

Woohoo, UE boom winner here. Feels like my efforts aren't wasted now :)

    • +4

Congrats!! I won an unsuccessful email :(

      • Thanks! Fingers crossed for the rest of the event.

      • +1

I won an unsuccessful email too. Plenty of those in stock this year.

        • +1

I’ve certainly got a good collection going.

          • @Mr Idiom: I have quite a collection of unsuccessful emails now

    • and the winning answer was ? :)
      Congrats by the way.

      • Sorry, can't really remember…I think I put the answer as 2375? I thought it might be a trick q.

        • Of you're the guy that counted today? Damn one could argue. Though whoever comes up with the questions dn't seem too bright anyway :P

          • +1

@capslock janitor: Hopefully they will release all the correct answers eventually

            • @amanvell: I received and email from them saying they will not be releasing answers for the Go Nuts deals.

              • @gamemaster: LOL where's the transparancy with something as basic (and non-confidential) as ANSWERS to their comps?

              • @gamemaster: On page 7 someone said they answered 2373 and won. Now I read someone put in 2375 and won as well. There might be a reason why they're not releasing answers.

                • +2

@Rauland: Well that makes no sense. I put 2374 and got a rejection email!!!

If they don't want previous winners to win, just be clear about it. I will go and spend my time elsewhere.

    2019-05-22 14:44:18

    • Had to guess as their site sucks and doesn't have a basic history for the event. I went with 8. 2012, 2015-2018 and 3 travel?

      • What about 2014 and 2013?

Click the above link to answer this question: Prior to this event how many events has Click Frenzy hosted?

    2019-05-22 14:44:18

    20?????

    • I answered 20, but it was a very rushed count.

    • Not sure I said 24.

  • I just guessed 26. Assuming theres 4 events every year since the 1st event in 2012

  • CF 2012 - 1
    CF 2013 - 1
    CF 2014 - 1
    CF 2015 - 2 (mayhem/go wild)
    CF 2016 - 2 (mayhem/go wild)
    CF 2017 - 2 (mayhem/go wild)
CF 2018 - 4 (Junior, mayhem, travel, go wild november)
    CF 2019 - 1 (excluding current mayhem

14? I might have missed some events… these are the ones I know of

  • I counted 14, based on travel starting in 2016 and mayhem starting in 2015, and frenzy starting in 2012

    • Did travel start in 2016? If so then it's 16 I think

      • Information is hard to come by online. I thought there'd be a list of past events somewhere. I guessed 18, but it was very much a guess.

  • Wonder if events such as "Father's and Mother's Day" are counted .. if so, more than 14/16.

    • yea thats what i assumed, but who knows with how vague a lot of these questions have been.

  • +2

I said 18 just a random guess putting my lucky yet unlucky number into play.

    • I'm surprised there's not some Wiki listing all events. Also with your lucky no.guessing you're Asian? :)

  • +2

Heh, i got the successful email with the Go Nuts Mattress deal

  • Could probably get a pretty accurate list from here

    • +1

That's the exact list that I used ;)

  • +3

I'm actually shocked at the number of people who are winning prizes here. It seems quite high.

  • Does anyone know what happened to the ASOS click frenzy code "HUNDRED" for 20% off?, i saw a post here and it's also on other website that they're having a sale but the code isn't working

    https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2019/05/best-click-frenzy-deal…

    https://www.pedestrian.tv/style/click-frenzy-fashion-brands-…

    • The deal was removed as the code doesn't work in Australia, ASOS aren't having a promo for Australia at the moment.

    • the deal was posted on here because someone read an article wrong as it was for ASOS UK website, not the AU site and it was correctly deleted. Before it got deleted these two websites just published what deals were posted on ozbargain at the time.

ASOS USA are currently having 25% off everything if you head over to their website

      • Thanks for that

Are the return process the same compared to shopping from Australian sight?

        • have never returned anything from them before, sorry. Although I don't think you would have any issues as most of their stock comes from their main warehouse in the UK- so you shouldn't have any hassle returning items even if you buy off the US site

  • +2

    I won the Drone :)

    • +1

      Congrats! What was your answer?

      • +1

        22

        • can you please enlighten us how did you come to 22?
the Nov event started in 2012, so that is 7 until now in Nov.
the May event started in 2015, so that is 5 until now and including this one.
The Aug event started in or about 2017 or 2018 (this is the part I am unsure on), but add 2 to the max.
          how is that 22???
          or am I missing something?

    • +1

      Congratulations!

  • +1

    said 40

    • Same. But it took me way too long

    • You are correct sir! I was one of the 40 too :""")

    • I said 4 haha. Couldn't be bothered looking it up, so pure guess. Was just on my phone and saw one pop up so I figured why not. Got it half right you could say.

      • Ok so I looked up an old email from click frenzy November and at the bottom it said vote for your favourite iron shopper with 4 pictures provided. You might actually be right haha

Click the above link to answer this question: How many finalists were in Click Frenzy's 2018 Ironshopper Competition?

  • Anything happening?

  • random guess 8

  • I vaguely remember the number 5 from somewhere… fingers crossed I guess

  • +1

Hopefully i got in quick enough, a quick google search told me the top 40 videos got through for the answer

  • +3

I think the answer is 40, according to this source here

    • I was too slow… again! Got caught up in work!

  • I Guessed 2

  • Answer is 40.

    • Depends if they used all finalists - T&Cs said up to 40, don't know if it was actually had that many (probably, but not necessarily).

      • lets hope

      • On the assumption that all 40 would be filled. I also went for forty.

        • You're all are making me think I should have said 35 or something…

          • @Chandler: Yeah well all the people that said 40 before me probably have better chance of winning.

If you went something else fingers crossed it was a dodgy question and you got it!

      • The answer is 40 or 5. The first selection was 40 for $1,000 to spend, then the top 5 had $10,000 or something.

Can we play/participate again if you've already won it once?

    • nope, was referenced earlier, once you get a code to purchase, that's it for your household and IP.

      • okay, I played last one after wining one and could see now they've blanked out my profile

        • I haven't won anything but they blanked out my profile too.

  • do I need to keep refreshing the page? I'm on Android. is this only possible on desktop browsers? thanks

    • better chance on a desktop or laptop, just keep changing tabs and it refreshes it

    • Can be done on a mobile device. Not sure if changing tabs auto checks like desktop does.

  • Nothing since the earbuds? That's over an hour ago!

  • 254?

  • 256?

  • +2

    I counted 257

    • Same!!! Hoping its 257

      • I counted 257, we'll see I guess.

        • yeah I think you are right… I counted yesterday night and got 254.. looks like they added extra 3 lol

    • Wait yea you are right

  • +1

    Counted 257 :o

    • same here

  • I counted them after the shopback question earlier! If I had focused and not just lazily had computer on to the side to take a stab at the "guess a number" quesitons", I would have had a good chance. Oh well, maybe.

EDIT: except it sounds like the number has changed. It was 254 when the shopback question was asked…

  • I counted earlier and it was 256, but looks like they added an extra one at some stage

    • +1

Lol did the same thing haha

  • Haha I trusted this post and put 25!

  • Im dumb, i multiplied by 3 instead of 4

  • 257

  • Lol I counted yesterday. Was fully prepared for this and put 254. They add 3 more??

    • They added 2 more up until like 5pm when I last checked. Then they must have added another extra just before posting.

      • It was 264 this morning!

        • I too counted this morning and got 264. Seems some brands decided they didn't feel like offering AfterPay AfterAll…

  • +1

It should be 257. Copy all the logos and paste it on a excel spreadsheet. Spread all cells evenly and it should be 257. :O

    • +1

I did the same but with Notepad++. It just copied the Alt text and was much quicker :)

      • Smart guy!!

  • Page took forever to load….typed in 257….not going to hold my breath!

  • put 259

  • Though afterpay website https://www.afterpay.com/en-AU/categories/click-frenzy only have 230 brands…

  • +7

Should I even bother with the tv. Going to be some questions that only the employees of click frenzy know the answer to!

    • +2

How many online shoppers have complained since 2012?

      Should be a good one.

      • +3

What a load of crap that TV question.

    • +1

Lol as I predicted earlier. Pretty sure they don't want to bother giving out any TVs

  • Answered 100k

  • I guessed 12562

  • I knew it, i (profanity) knew it was going to be take a random guess for the TV

  • I took a wild stab at 16581

  • i guessed 1 thousand

  • 5662

  • I used my luck guessing the number of eggs in the Easter egg guessing competition at work…

  • 12350, hesitated, changed to 10350. Don't know where that number comes from

  • +1

i put 285,000 lol…. how the hell would anyone know unless you work for them!

    • rubbish question, poor form from Baitfrenzy

  • I guessed 86442, we'll see i guess.

  • Answered 150,000 - lots of news reports on it yesterday. It's a needle in a haystack question….

    • +1

Going extra high or low is probably a good strategy. You don't want to guess right where everyone else is. In hindsight, I should have gone a lot higher than I did (although not quite as high as 150k ;))

  • +11

Better question, how many will unsubscribe tomorrow? :)

    • Doesn't matter, they got their click through referral commissions. That's the whole purpose of this.

The go nuts stuff is as cheap advertising as they come to keep eyeballs on the site and get more clicks.

  • +1

You'd have a better chance of winning if they randomly picked people off the members/subscription list. What a load of BS that question is.

    • Yeah, they really don't plan to sell any TVs for $17.

      • +1

Prob be closest to the hole

      • Why not? What does it cost them via a partner deal with Sony? $500? $1000? Freebie as part of the exposure deal?

Whatever it is is peanuts compared to other forms of advertising. It's the same as Youtubers giving away latest gadgets, nothing compared to clickbait revenue.

  • +1

Good time to have a friend who works the frenzy mailing list…

  • I thought that companies running competitions had to quote the number and value of all prizes. Do they get around that by letting you win the opportunity to buy something? Like arriving first in line at a store for a midnight launch. I suppose if that is true, then they don't technically have to offer the opportunity to buy a TV to anyone.

    • Yes, also even if you win and already payed for the item (the TV for example $17), they can decide to cancel your order and refund you.

ACCC cannot do anything about it, they have refunded you the payment so there is no binding contract anymore - have asked them about this.

  • +2

lol at the TV question. There is a higher probability you will win the lotto than the TV.

Most likely the CEO of click frenzy has submitted his answer ;)

    • +3

It will go well with their new phone.

  • +1

I tried asking the question via their chat line. Apparently only the competition runner knows the answer.

    • +1

Did you then proceed to ask "WHAT THE (FROPANITY)?" on our behalf.

    • Which would make it completely unverified information. The answer to every question could literally be 'gherkin'.

  • 34 Dogs?

    • I had 48, but there were some duplicates and a bunch of tiny ones

    • God I got to 72 :/ I even counted the dogs on the packaging haha maybe I'm overthinking this

      • Maybe you're right with the trick question

  • 30 dogs?

  • 29 dogs - or 30 if you include the ad??

    • Lucky and congrats

    • +6

grats, but it's a bit weird that there was 257 logos on the page, also just went back to the page and now there are 258 logos. Super sketchy.

      • Just checked and I agree there is 258 now. I was on my mobile at the time and it was only 2 columns wide, was pretty confident there was 259 at the time.

        • How long did it take to get your congratulations email?

          • +1

@Bluellama21: About an hour and a half. Email came thru at 5:30pm WA time, from memory the deal was just before 4pm?

      • +1

Yeah it's starting to piss me off

      • I counted 4 columns x 64 full rows down, plus 1 on its own on the last row = 257. And as you have pointed out there is now an extra logo on the last row, making 258. what a bunch of crooks.

        • apparently it's a dynamic page, and it showed 259 at the time of the notification, which if true is incredibly bad timing since i clicked on that link within 10 seconds of the notification going live and it showed me 257.

    • Congrats!

Wonder if that's how many subs it'll go down by tomorrow

      • +2

Well done! Congrats. Not to detract from your scoop but I find it a tad hard to believe that nearly 800,000 people signed up for this only yesterday

        • +1

sorry i meant to say 71995

          • @leasky: surely there was a ball park "range". Gratz nonetheless

          • @leasky: I was genuinely shocked. I'm sure I read somewhere in a news article that they get around 1 million subscribers. I'm like seriously, they all join up on the day? Makes more sense now. I was only 65,000 short on my guess :) 65,000 short, 65 inch TV? If that doesn't earn me a discount code …

    • +1

Congrats. Makes me feel so much better knowing I was way off

  • What a surprise! Another stupid question

    • Wildly stabbed at 16

      • My answer too, after finding out there were 22 events so far 16 seemed like a good guess. You were around a minute quicker than me though :(

    • I put in 10 lol

    • +1

This is actually a better question since you can do research for it and get exact number for it..

The question is, would ppl do their research or just random hit to avoid people nabbing it when we are doing our research?

I am one of the one who just randomly guess. I guessed 23 (assuming they are in every events in Clickfrenzy) lol…

      • I did the same. The person that won the drone said their answer was 22 for number of click frenzy events. Then I guessed 48 hours each, but I think it isn't quite 48 hours for each one…

        • Good work. I looked at a website that said a list of Click Frenzy events in 2018 and prior to that (cached Click Frenzy page) - didn't mention that but yeah I'll be willing to bet it probably did

          • +1

@reeyano: My bad… I think the Nov 2018 event was 25 hrs :(… oh well still close

  • Any guess on the macbook question? It's got to be extra special, being set apart like this. How about "Describe in 25 words or less why Click Frenzy is Australia's most awesome shopping event?". That would certainly infuriate a few people :) I doubt they would have a question that can't be easily verified automatically though. Maybe "Total number of computer deals throughout all Click Frenzy events"? Or possibly too similar to questions already asked.

    • Have a feeling they might ask another 'How many clicks did…' question again or something plain ridiculous.
