  $1k for a HD screen laptop is not a good deal. Also, 220nit is quite dim.
  People need to realize that screen is very important in laptops. First thing to check.

      These are the exact specs and price I am looking for on a laptop, but having dealt with hp before, I'd still be reluctant if it was $500.

    Really depends what you are doing with it. Perfectly fine for work stuff like excel, word email etc and Web browsing.

    Even plenty ok for movies etc

  my last laptop purchase with shopping express was a disaster! So make sure you receive the correct item cos i found it was a real pain to deal with them when they sent me the incorrect item.

  I hate these laptops. Like, seriously hate them. First the sound driver will stop working. Then it'll blue screen when you log into eBay (Google it), then the trackpad will stop responding for a few minutes when waking up, then it won't come out of sleep.

  Oh my god these are awful, awful laptops.

  For what it's worth, I've got a G2 version of this and love it. I didn't $400 on it and it does exactly what I need it to.

  Of course everyone else's mileage may vary, and I might only be one day away from it being a bad purchase, but until then I'm a fan.

  Honestly, this is a piece of shit for the price.

  Further, I've had plenty of hp laptops and experiences with other people's hp laptops, and would consider them THE WORST brand for laptops, even below Acer (Acer still has the worst build quality though).

  Strongly advise people avoid.
