Credit Card application using job offer

I am currently earning about 20-25k/yr (2-3 days per week @ $200/day, while studying) but I start a new job in Oct at around 130k/yr but it requires relocation and I would like to use a credit card to help with moving (I get 7.5k relocation with first paycheck but that's 2 weeks after starting).

My issue is the cards I want to apply for (cards with ff points) have 35-75k min salary. Is there any way to use future employment contract in the applications.

Yes, you just need to send them your future pay slip as proof of future income

    • Good idea, send one from 20 years in the future, would be earning a lot more then, they'll give you a platinum card!

Apply with your bank with your current income, you might be surprised. Even if it partly covers your cost.

  • What are the costs you’re looking at? Perhaps get the company to pay for some of those things up front rather than paying you back for it later. Explain your situation and I’m sure they’d be able to help.

    Has someone mentioned no yet?

  • The process is to get a credit card now then apply for an increase in the credit limit which is usually rather easy

  • Go for whatever card you can get in your current position then when you have a few payslips under your belt apply for the one you really want.
