Lol, I can’t believe I got my top choice licence plate today. Which one you like or have seen? Personalised plate discussion.

I have seen quite a lot of good ones out there. Many are so funny an cool. I didn’t really like my one I am getting with my car. So I went online to get one and my one is available, so I quickly purchased it. Which one have you seen? Or do you like or want.

Also $50 coles MYER card for coupon bonus19. Lol, I guess a coupon and it worked. I saw bonus 18 one for last year and I guess bonus19. Give it a go if you are buying one! Queensland site.

Edit: oh my, well I thought it was obvious…so maybe my wife wouldn’t like it. But if none of you knows what it means…well that’s a good thing. I really just put it out in plain numbers and letters. Never meant for it to cause any guessing. So I will type it out now just to clear any misunderstandings.

I can’t afford normal price of $475. But I paid that because I was very happy it was available, also with my new car. I did let like my number plate 882YXC which to me reminds me of “BB too, why (so) Sexy”
Normally letters are over $2000, and one win love heart is $2500. I saw two of them today.

There are some rude ones, which I didn’t intend, but also not what I want. But to some like my college are funny.

Emoji picture is limited I think and it just came out. My wife loves emoji, and we call each other b regularly.

It wasn’t a guessing game, but meant to have conversations of your favourite number plate.

  • Personalized plates in NSW are a rip off and are extinct.

Best plate I saw MEOC63 on a C63, what was even funnier is that they found a loophole not to pay the fees for it.

    Damn… just checked PPQ (QLD)…

    PEN15 is unavailable….

I've never really understood personalised plates though. If i bought a new car I'd rather spend the money on tinting or accessories instead of number plates.

    Each to their own though.

Why do people keep giving OP attention?

That reminds me the joke people say at the bars. Are you 18 yet? To young girls.

      • You can only be 18 and over at bars….hmmm..don’t worry.
It’s like asking for drivers licence at bars, when the person looks young, but actually over 25 or 30.
It’s a joke, not my joke, their joke.

        • haha good one

  • anyone please remind me to buy a plate "Pedo" to put on my white van.
Beside, OP is an attention who**

  • I have never-ever heard a Chinese person use the phrase "B" as a term of endearment for a spouse/gf etc. Admittedly, I am not a native speaker (I speak Chinese as a second language) nor young - I am, however, finding it hard to believe that this is a thing (aside from between you and your missus).

There are, however, plenty of derogatory terms in Chinese that use the affix "B", e.g. "niu b", and I am led to believe that the "B" actually has a rather different meaning.

    • I am Malaysian, have heard heaps of people use 'B' for their partner. Probably took 'by' part of Baby, which is what we do when we refer to our parents 'My' - pronounced Mee and 'Dy'- pronounced Dee

      • Hmm, interesting. After I posted this, I found out majority of people don’t know this b.
Then my wife said Chinese Cantonese say it. And now it’s seems Malaysian too. Thanks for telling us. :)

  • Only 4 million cars in QLD, and only a small percentage with personalised plates.

  • The evening of the 2017 grand final, I purchased the Richmond custom plate design and TGRTUF for a couple 100 bucks. Absolutely no regrets.

Waiting to buy my next car before associating it to a registered vehicle.

Your plate idea, however, leaves me a bit confused.

    • Personalised plates are personal for a reason. Lol

  • NE1469

  • I've got SPCECOW on my D-Max.

Had TOYTANK on my FJ Cruiser

    SEEFU on my Celica.

Am in NT. Our plates are $185 once off fee.

Used to be cheaper. SEEFU was $145, TOYTANK was $165, SPCECOW was $185. Price goes up $20 every few years

  • I sold my car with my plate number TOO00Z in Sydney (was 2003). It meant a lot to me. It still does. The deal was I will get the plate off the buyer of my car after I purchase a new one. Called the guy, he told me police repossessed it for speeding. Bummer. Hate my tight@rse for not paying for storage in RTA. If anyone cruising the car with the plate number TOO00Z please pm me. I will pay for the new plate number to get my back plus award you for that.

Best I ever saw was KLUNGE. I'm devastated that I cant have it. No other plate comes close now.

    • GASH4ME is still available. So is GROOL.

  • Honestly, I am not sure why would you waste money on a personalized plate.

You can just put a sticker on the back window for $10 if that………………..

  • There's ONDOLE on a $$$ modified BMW in Canberra.

    It's HAXORZ (VIC). Very l33t.

What's a good way to sell it? I can't imagine those plate sites do well. Happy if I got back what I paid for it.

Someone paid for a plate with FGT500. First thought was pride… Then noticed it was on a Ford GT 500 so kinda makes sense.

  • Have seen 'ONAMEX' on a Jeep and 'URL-404' on a WRX in Sydney. They're kinda funny/geeky, but the OP's? Yeah, get a bumper sticker and save your cash!

Disclaimer: I do have a custom plate, but it's all numbers (6 of them) which are related to my interests, and mean nothing to others who don't really share that interest. For the rest of the world, it's just 6 random numbers.

  • Damn, someone has already taken MULTI21 in QLD.

  • I saw a picture of a Lamborghini was plate “TOO FAST”
Plate is selling for about $3500

  • -1

Could someone plz clarify this for me as I am also interested in purchasing a custom plate.

I would like to buy a combination which I want to use later down the track (hence after purchase, I won't be attaching it to a car right away), therefore would there be any ongoing fees (like the annual registration fee) or is it the case of one-off purchase fee? (For Victoria)

    Thanks in advance.

  • I've seen recently QOOQOO and RYLSTN (Royal Station??? Any ideas?)

  • Why would that number plate be taken already?

  • I GOT MR Q for me, and MRS Q for the missus. I can never understand the people that get a vanity plate that is the model of the car - that will change when it's time for a trade in.

Back in New Zealand in the 1980s, the traffic police were called Ministry Of Transport.
The personalised number plate I had was MOTSUX, I was even chased through Mt Victoria Tunnel in Wellington from one end to the other and once was pulled up with two young Traffic Officers who wanted to pose with there cars with me.
