Wow that's AUD pricing as well. Fantastic price.

  • +14

excellent price but keep in mind this is non-steam and requires Rockstar Social Club

    • Does it cost more to play or is it just another platform to download?

      • +9

Just another platform. Add that to the list of 5 game clients we already have lol

        • +2

What @L3K said, but also it can be a deciding factor if you have friends that play on steam and dont have the rockstar client version. You won't be able to play with your friends on steam with this version

          • +2

@ciyborg: You’re assuming that we have friends? Psst.

          • @ciyborg: Uhh where are you getting your info lmao… there aint seperate servers for steam and non-steam…

          • +1

@ciyborg: The Steam version still requires you to log in to Rockstar Social Club, so I don't think that's right.

            • @MrMcHairyHead: Yes you're right. It seems steam and rockstar social club has a friends feature and it doesn't really matter which version you buy as both make use of rockstar social club. Disregard my previous comment

  • I thought I'd got a bargain the other week when I paid about $18 for it.

If I buy this and play it, am I more likely to proceed to a life of crime in the real world and risk incarceration?
    Just checking first…

    • +8

Politicians say yes, everyone else says no.

      • +8

Lucky I didn't buy it then because I trust politicians more than anyone else.

      • -3

        everyone else says no.

There is a sizeable population of braindead morons who consume mainstream media still and that controls how they vote.

Exactly the same arguments were being trotted out for (profanity) idiots to read shortly after the invention of the printing press. Just substitute "novel" for "video game and we're back in the year 1400 again being told that reading novels will lead to the downfall of society.

Numerous empirical studies suggest no causal link between violent video games and violent behaviours; however, my mum says there is. So I think you're going to jail.

    • That's what Republicans think and they're never wrong

    • I once played Mario Kart and now I'm a mushroom that races go karts with weapons in fantasy tracks.

Make of that what you will.

Could also be that LSD my mate have me.

I was looking at buying this last night after seeing some "real life" graphics mods, need to make my 1080ti work for it's board.
Glad I didn't pull the trigger thanks OP

Just went up to $23.58 as I was browsing for more on-sale games.

    • Yes… I was just about to comment this. Pricing error?

      • +2

Yeah maybe. Had it in my cart for 5 mins and decided to browse, came back to cart and it was up to $23.58. Bummer!

My PC's close to 4 years old but my graphics card is 8 years old. What graphics card would you get to run this game? I'm eyeing the GTX 1060 but that's close to the $300 mark.

    • +2

I had a gtx 750ti, upgraded to a gtx 1060 6gb and the difference was night and day. I get around 100fps with medium - high settings. Would definitely recommend the upgrade.

      • Sounds good. I'm currently running the GTS 250 so it's a 10 year old card :( I really can't bring myself to spend that much on a video card given that I don't game that much.

    • My GTX 980 hits 50-55fps but struggles to push 60 in this on medium settings, 1440p.

    damn… missed out $24 now

  • Damn… i've been wanting to get this just for GTA Online
missed out due to work :(
