Not a great price at all. Mwave around $200 cheaper

    https://www.mwave.com.au/product/philips-qline-bdl4330ql-43-…

    • Can't rip a true ozbargainer. I hate false advertising.

    • Shipping for me at Mwave is $131.50 so it ends up being $980 at Mwave, but yes even then it's still cheaper.

    $999 (was $1789)

But this was $908.18 on 20 May 2019 00:41:54 GMT according to Google Cache: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https:/…

Thanks everyone for pointing out the issues. We are going to revise the deal and yes our price does include shipping so The Mwave price is a bit better. I think we can better it. Many thanks to m9 for pointing out the cached page - Google always finds your page when you don't want it to and never does when you do! :-) That price was a system testing and was not meant to be seen. Apologies for that. Still it's great you guys never miss a trick - love it. Will have new pricing later today. Thanks

    • We have revised price to $939 - hope that helps. Thanks again

  • How do these displays stack up against cheap 4k TVs?

      Hi Dosada
Many thanks for your watching out on this but it depends where you are to delivering to. It's great that people can shop around to get the best deal for where they need the unit delivered to $905 to your address maybe $990 + to another state. It would be better if you could say $905 delivered Sydney for example. Thanks again

  • Hi mullsie
Usually the following but will depend on 4k TV specs
Stronger Build, Designed to withstand long operating hours 16/7 hours/day, 3 year warranty for long operating hours, Designed specifically for compatibility with PCs and AV standards, operate in both landscape and vertical orientation, better Features for anti burn-in & image-retention, usually brighter screens, commercial grade glass.

Zeesh, $900+ on a full HD monitor. No thanks.

  • Um this is obviously not the product for OZbargainers! :-) Taking it down. Thanks everyone

You frequently see stuff with lots of upvotes that aren't a product almost any ozbargainer would want. It's less likely to be popular but people upvote stuff they'd never buy all the time.

The problem isn't the product. It's the deal and how it's presented.

If you want to post something check out the deal posting guidlines. You ignored one of the most important things in it: check competitors prices before posting. You also ignored not comparing the price to RRP if that price is misleading (ie not the normal price it's sold at most of the time in most places).

I do understand that - the problem is you have people not comparing like for like. Shipping of a heavy piece of equipment is vastly different from state to state - city to city - town to town. This deal was viable for people whose shipping costs are large - the problem is you had people complaining when a) they didn't consider shipping b) they didn't consider where the shipping was to. Then you had people who didn't understand what a commercial grade unit was and what it was used for and therefore complained about the price full stop. That is my mistake thinking there was a market out there for this quality of product. I think the product was the issue because it was plainly too expensive and shipping costs are variable. If I had put shipping not included then it would not have been of any interest at all. I think that products that incur a large potential shipping cost differential are not viable as people just seem to look at the net price as an indication of value and simply compare with the ads on the page from companies like Mwave. It's all ok I am learning what type of deals people want - I just think that some deals are not given a chance but that is what OzBargain is - I'm not going to change it. It is a strong people led organism that is extremely valid. I just think we don't have the products or services available unless you make a professional services sector or something. All good - just got to find a product that is extremely cheap to ship across Australia. :-)

Thanks all do appreciate your comments and advice. Think on!
