Great price on a great receiver. I don't believe I've seen it lower than the Ebay Plus price

So all these head units… do they fit all cars? Is there some sort of size standard or anything like that? The one that we have is a bit sluggish and I'd like to upgrade it.

These will basically fit any car with a double din opening, and most cars with a single din opening with slight modification. You'll need a facia kit for your specific car, and a stereo wiring harness for your car will be very helpful as well.

Interesting. Maybe I'll YouTube it. Thanks for the info.

        • It's a fun and relatively easy job that I've done in many cars throughout the years. Good luck!

  • How's the startup time? Does it work with any rear view camera?

    • I have the AX5000. Startup time is good, especially if you're starting it up and putting in in reverse for the camera, it's almost instant. Any camera with an RCA plug will work - just about any camera has.

      • Thanks for the spam, Spam! :P

      • Tried looking for the specs of AX5000. Seems that the difference is the 2 USB ports on the AX5000, right?

        • My mistake - I have the AX3000. But I think the only difference between the 3000 and the 5000 is the 5000 has an extra USB port and a capacative screen instead of a resistive screen.

          • @Spam Service: Ah, deal breaker. I can live with 1 USB port, but not a resistive screen :(

@Ameowzon: Maybe try one at on the wall at supercheap or something - the screen is actually really nice to use. I've used other resistive head units that are just awful, but this one just works. I personally wouldn't spend any extra to get a capacative screen, but it all comes down to preference I guess.

  • I have the 3000 version but I’d definitely encourage to go to the 5000 if you’ve got the spare coin. The screen will be worth it but just remember that second USB port is only useful for a USB, you can’t connect a second phone.

    • How do I switch between phones? Can one via Bluetooth, and another via USB?

      • No, you'd need to unplug one and plug in the second
