  • Better off with a donnie thompson bowtie than this

    • Had never heard of this but it looks interesting. Do you personally use one? What're your thoughts, if so?

  • Has anyone used this and can comment on effectiveness?

I bought the same model from AliExpress for about $15 for my partner. Definitely works, you just need to wear it consistently and combine with exercises to correct your posture.

      • Thanks mate. Anyways price from the seller is bit high as compared to other similar item on amazon.

    • Sorry OP in Advance !

Dont .. I repeat dont get these.. The quality is very poor and mine snapped in my first use.. I had to pay to postgage to get a refund !

Would depend on what the reason is for the poor posture.

I would suggest in most cases the only real fix is chiropractor to fix the damage + ergonomics to reduce self-harm

You can put this on all you like, but if your spine is already wonky (it probably is) and seized (it probably is.. even if you think it's not. Personal experience) and you don't get it released properly then you're possibly compensating for a lack of movement in one vertebrae by having the others move. Which would be dangerous to do in the long term as it would introduce serious kinks in your spine. Not to mention encourage the usual (very long term) growth of bone spurs etc where things are seized.

To the negger: provide an informed opinion if you're going to neg, you're messing with people's health here by negging and running.

A chiropractor is not a health practitioner. Best see a physio or similar to get a set of corrective exercises, etc…

          • @Murpha: Physio works on muscles
            Chiro works on spine/nerves

I only believed in Physio and didn't believe in Chiro until I gave in and tried a Chiro. Maybe I'll get my spinal x-rays and show you the difference.

Hell, I wanted to be a physio. Now my opinion is that there should be no separation - everyone coming out of uni should have both degrees so a wholistic approach can be applied. You're really paying for half a job otherwise.

@justtoreply: I guess it depends if your posture stems from injury or is more muscle related (poor posture at work, etc). Crunches, pushups, chinups and squats can be quite effective for the latter scenario, at least in my experience. Never really saw results from a Chiro, but it may work for others. Everyone should consult their GP regardless. Anyways, glad it worked for you! Neg removed.

            • @justtoreply: Physio here - gotta correct you here, physios work on EXACTLY the same conditions as chiros (muscles, nerves' joints etc). We just have different approaches to how we treat them
