          • @Ge3ks: Got the nose hair dealio that old mate just linked also.
            Look out ladies…:)

            • @furiousgeorge: ^haha. I'm going see if this rapid cut shaver can orbit my whole noggin and crew my beard, too.

  • +1

Strewth! That's a big saving. Normally $89 @ Big W. Are these things any good? I use a regular hair trimmer to cut my own hair.

    • +2

I bought one a while back. The shave was good and easy, but the battery had issues. I would've gotten less than 6 months out of it before it gave up recharging altogether. A lot of reviews report similar issues

      • +1

Thanks Wowza. It would come with a minimum 12 month warranty in that case, so no real risk. And $15 is worth it even for a year of easy haircuts. Bargain.

      • +4

Mine has held up for about 2 years with use every 4-6 weeks. Guess I got lucky! Although I imagine others are more diligent than me :)

        • +1

I second this, it's pretty similar to my experience.

      • I had the same problem after about a year.

    • Paid $50 for these a couple of weeks back and thought that was a bargain. They work great

No delivery, click and collect only. Lots of places OOS in Sydney - but ordered one from Campbelltown (Macarthur Square).

Now to decide if I become Shave Guevara…

    • Shave Allover?

    • No more from Campbeltown. You are lucky

Must be a mistake as it surely never cost $160!

This also a good "saving" (over 50%).

Got one of these half price at Big W a few years ago. Great shaver, still runs well. Would've grabbed a couple as spares at this price, but no Click n Collect stock anywhere in VIC

    • Seems to be 'low stock' @ South Melbourne. Set your postcode to 3000.

Just received this email from Big W, "We are emailing you to let you know that we are unable to supply the below item/s as they were unavailable at the time of processing your order".

    • Bummer, which store did you choose to pick up from?

      • Got the same email from Joondalup

      • Joondalup Perth, WA.

        • Just got the 'Your order is ready to pick-up' email from Warnbro, WA.

    • :(

    • Got the same email, then went in and bought it anyway.

      • Scanned at this price is presume?

        • They priced matched it to their website, they couldn't find the link so I showed them it on my phone. It was probably delisted on the site by then or something I'd imagine, but they matched it anyway.

    • Same. Order wAs cancelled and will be refunded

  • Sweet. Plus 5% off with eGift card from Cashrewards. Thanks

I bought this for 60 @ target last year. I have been cutting my hair for a year (15 on top, 12, 9, 6 to a 4.5 around the neck). Amazing, except it needs oil once in a while.

  • +1

I've had one for 4 years or so now and still works. They lack power if you use them dry but under the shower I have no issues at all.

    • Charge and oil should fix that

  • Party is over,No stock anywhere in syd

  • +1

    Cheaper than an average haircut!

  • None available in my area Werribee.
    Which retailer can price match?

  • Great shaver battery dies very quickly.

Ive had 2 and eventually gave up. Wont hold charge at all.

Went VS version with the dual blades. Has been rock solid.

    • But cant you still run it with ac power even though the battery is dead?

      • i'd hazard a guess the circuit is for charging only, no AC bypass

        • Says Cord/Cordless operation in the Product Features

      • When you cut your hair in the shower, not really an option.

  • BIG W just started its mega sale today (Thursday 30/5),
slashing about 50% of the prices of 1000s of items:

      Broden

  • Had heard about batteries dying on these units, I just recharge it for only 15-20 mins then store it for next time. Have a theory that maybe it overcharges if left to fully charge. Seems to be working so far, touch wood

    • I doubt it, it will have a circuit to stop charging once fully charged, you need to be more careful of deep discharging. In my experience deep discharging and heat are the biggest factors in li-ion batteries failing prematurely.

Also, if you are going to store it for long periods of time it is recommended to store it at 40% discharge.
