it's a bit too late for April Fool's, don't you think

    • save it for next year

This looks pretty cool actuality, but I'm not sure it's the most practical haha

Tried it in USA. The audio is surprisingly good, not that I'll spend so much money on it though.

It's good if you are a beach person, or just someone who doesn't like to wear earphones /headphones.

      • Thanks for the info!

  • how HEAVY are these things? anyway, it is not very practical.

    • Weigh the same as my current glasses. Sound is pretty good- but not tempted as they are $$$

  • Prescription glasses?;)

    • Lenses are interchangeable. Don't know if that means you fit prescription ones in though.

    • Can't listen to my music without my sunnies on.
    • Will look like a douchebag if I wear my headphones inside.
    • Lose-lose situation.

    Pre order isnt a deal

    • +1

The deal is for bonus lenses as per the description

Interesting would we be able to order them through an optom with prescription and claim them on the health insurance? Would be pretty sweet.

Not sweat resistant (IPX2 rating), not polarised and a measly 3.5hr playback time. Poor execution of an already flawed concept.

    • +1

      measly 3.5hr

That's actually comparable to wireless BT earphones so not that bad IMO.

      • wireless BT earphones need to be as small and lightweight as possible. Sunglasses have much more leeway for bigger batteries, but no.

        • Speakers need drivers and resonance chambers that are much larger than earphones though. They also require more power to run as a speaker is much louder than an earphone.

      • Comparable to only the worst BT earphones I reckon. My quick check and found none worse and most significantly better.

Also, these don't have a charging case like many earphones. But even if they did the ratio of charge time (2hrs) to playback (3.5hrs) is terrible, compared to airpods for example which give 3hrs playback from 15min charge.

IMO this 'unique' product needs better battery performance. If your BT earphones go flat then it's no big deal..just charge up for a bit then continue using. If these frames go flat but you still need to wear the sunnines you're stuffed. Definitely not good enough for a day at the beach.

  • can't seem to make calls.

    • ? Can call up Google Assistant too.

"Hey Google! Can you.. HELLO?! HELLO?!"

black materials absorb a lot of heat under sunlight, with lithium battery inside… hmmm… heat test anyone? dont want my head to catch on fire, already lost enough hair due to genetics…

  • +5

Can I get the opposite version? Where I can play loud, annoying music for those around me while I hear practically nothing?

  • Honestly this is ay WAY cheaper then one would expect from a Bose product
