Safety Jogger Best Boy Lace up Steel Cap Boots

Do they still have the 'Lady Boy' ones for girl tradies ???

  • +1

Do these meet AS/NZS 2210.3 protective footwear safety standard?
If so, can you provide evidence? There's nothing on your website.

    • yes has Australian standards, its on the tag on the boots. All safety footwear that we sell have Australian Standards.

      Cheers

I have just done a quick search on Taobao and the cheapest I can find is around $30AUD + shipping. At $15, this seems to be a good deal (and I probably can think of a reason why - the importer has imported a product that doesn’t comply with the relevant AU/NZ safety standards, so they are cutting their losses. This kind of occurrence is very common).

      • Checked on eBay for a similar/same model:

        Certification Standards
        CE S3
        JIS (JAPAN)
        AS/NZS2210.3 (AUST)
        GOST-R (RUSSIA)
        ASTM (USA)
        ANSI Z41-1999 (PHILIP)

        So it’s a great deal!

      hi
Boots are Australia Standard or Money back.

      Regards
      Rick

    • highly doubt anything on taobao has standards…..

source im chinese and i have one pair from taobao……

  • My bluedog safety (garden) boots just had the soles disintegrating…
Good enough replacement, I hope the size will be right.

  • What material is it made of?

Ooh nice, I jumped on their similar previous deal last year, was impressed with the quality and super fast shipping.

Thinking of picking up another backup pair, though they don't quite have my size this time =(

  • For what it's worth my work provided these to employees and they are absolutely rubbish in terms of comfort. Ended up picking up a pair of Ascent work boots. Worlds above IMO.

  • That is if the certificate is Genuine. I was looking at importing boots from a manufacturer in China and was looking to source a co-certificate (this is where a product has been tested to standards equal to or greater than the AS/NZ standard and a certificate can be sourced without being retested) so i rang the testing Laboratory in Switzerland and it turns out it was a fake certificate. Apparently there is a street in Beijing known colloquially as "certificate street" and you can take your product in there and get a fake certificate for it.
I have come across 3 fake certificates so far. 1 for the boots i mentioned, one for cutting discs and one for vehicle jacks.
Australia would be much better off adopting EU standards for common items. Things like cutting discs could meet EU standards and still be fine (in fact EU standards when i last checked are superior to the AS/NZ standard. Sigh i suppose we have to pay people in govt. to do this. Ask me about my call to NZ about the power tools.

What about your call to NZ about the power tools.

      • I asked the NZ department of safety (i called them) to check why a certain brand of power tool that we sell in Australia is able to be sold in NZ with an adaptor from EU plug to the SAA style Australian plug. The person i spoke to said "if we followed the AS/NZ standard no one could afford to buy anything " But here in Australia even if the tool meets the or exceeds the standards it has to be retested.

This is why we pay so much not for safety sake (i think safety enforcement is good and proper) but for bureaucracy gone crazy.

  • As someone who owns a pair of safety loggers from a previous post, I can say that these boot are really under padded. You feel every rough bit of inside the shoe and they take a while to soften up.
I know it's not a fair comparison but I have a pairs of Mongrel and Hard Yakka boots and they are far far (far) more comfortable. You get what you pay for really.
I used my Safety Joggers for real muddy situations.

  • Got mine today. Not the best looking but good fit, value for money, excellent for doing work in my garden.
They do not feel uncomfortable but I will use them with thick socks.

    Just my2c feedback.
