  • Currently have Ecopia EP300 and thinking of changing to the Serenity Plus to try and get a bit more mileage. The EP300 looks to just reach 40,000km.

Anyone know what the items are in the service booklet and whether there are charges? Not much point if they require alignment every 10K to maintain the 50,000km guarantee.

It’s even worse than that, to get the 50000km guarantee you have to take your car in to get aligned every 3 months or 5000km so it’s a big waste of time. Don’t bother with the guarantee the tyres should last take either way

For me it was only that you had to get a wheel alignment when you got the 4 tyres. Then you got a book with vouchers for free rotations and a free puncture repair. No further alignments required unless they inspected and saw a problem.

I bought these tyres back in 2014 and have travelled 50,000 km since. The serenity’s have amazing life, so don’t hesitate as I have HEAPS of wear still left in these. Easily another 30,000 km from what I can tell.

When I bought mine, it was only a tyre rotation every 5000 or 3 months, so I don’t think they would want to do an alignment that often. I gave up doing it this trip after a while. I just get the tyres rotated at service time every 10,000km and ensure they are at 35 PSI every month.

  • Wouldnt recommend ecopia. Had ep850 on my escape and wheelspin galore. Toyo proxes did a better job at half the price.

  • Isn't Serenity Now better?

  • We need some SUV/4WD tyres and looking at the Dueler H/T 684 II and they seem to get average reviews but mostly in US.

Can anyone comment on them for Australian environment?

They'll mostly be used for on-road.

They workout to $540 fitted with tyresales.com.au (excl wheel alignment).

  • I'm booked in tomorrow for 4 Dueler Tyres (model 470 or something), $540 fitted at Bridgestone for my 2015 Mazda CX5.. No idea if this is a good deal, but called a few places and this seemed competitive. If anyone has any opinion on these tyres or price, please let me know before I go ahead! Thanks.

  • Just got mine done, just in time for all the crap weather we're getting.

Here's a pro tip: Remove and keep all 4 of your valve caps just before you walk in to drop your keys off. Handy to have spare valve caps around for when you lose them.

The valve caps have to be taken off anyway to remove the valve core when deflating the old tyre, plus you will be getting new valve stems anyway which will come with 4 new valve caps. Sometimes they "forget" to fit new valve stems, so check or better still make a mention of them as you drop the key off.

Also if you have alloys with special lock nuts that require an adaptor key, it would be nice to leave this in an obvious spot inside the car - or at least make sure you have it in your car's toolkit and that your boot isn't full to the brim - mechanics and tyre fitters will appreciate not having to unpack the contents your boot just to get to the locknut adaptor.

  • Just tried to price match Bridgestone with Donnellan on the Serenity, wouldn't budge. 4 tyres at Bridgestone was $141 per tyre, Donnellan was $133 (buy 3 get 4th free).

    • And they have the same Road Hazard Warranty as Bridgestone Tyre Centre, so go for it.
