For anyone umming and ahhing over the price, for a reference, this is even lower than the 'cost' price at both JB and Good Guys, so I'm not too sure how much lower this can go as its still technically Samsung's current flagship watch. Not to mention this is local stock with local warranty from a reputable store (regardless of what our experiences are with warranty at TGG, I'm sure we'd all rather deal with them than a foreign store).

Wear OS is pretty laggy though (on Qualcomm processors but probably would be on Exynos too).
This one works fine with whatsapp. You can use HERE maps on this watch.
this review on productreviews talked more about the little things you would only notice after buying the watch. Will probably still buy it at this price even with those minor issues that person brought up.

Samsung emailed me a "Tax Receipt" instead of "Tax Invoice". Would that be an issue at the airport ?

I made some research, the battery is announced lasting for 4days, great.
My S3 last me one day with very small usage…. but announced 3 days by Samsung.
Smartwatches have still a way to go
Since the One UI update they are basically the same watch.
This is better but not by much. Bigger battery, more RAM and detects a few more exercises.
IMO better off waiting a few months and seeing what the 2019 model looks like…also google might release something.

Sounds like an issue with your Gear S3 battery. Mine is 6 months old and lasts for 2 full days with notifications all day.
Depends. I'm upgrading because it gives me waterproof rating rather than resistance. Apart from that, id be happy wkth my S3

I've had the said issue and ended up (after much trouble with Samsung "support") getting a refund. I got a Fitbit Versa and all health tracking features worked as advertised.
