Compared this reasonably big JBL speaker to the tiny Bose Soundlink Micro ($95 via Myer ebay after using the 20% discount) today at JB hifi, and the Bose runs rings around it IMO. Tighter bass, and better definition throughout the audio range. Bose win hands down (at least the demo model).

On the JBL connect app, upgrade software on Charge 3 for connect+ capabilities for party mode which is on the Charge 4.

Great price. Does anyone here already have a charge 4? I got one a month ago and when playing the abc app or a podcast app it kind of hissed or made a staticy sound. Youtube music seemed fine. So I sent it back and got another one and it does exactly the same thing, it's impossible to listen to at night when it's quiet. Tried various phones and they all do the same thing.
