Honest question - what is the difference between this and the cheap ones you can get from places like Kmart?

      "all cracked at some point"

havent used a Kmart one but the quality really does decrease as you go cheaper. This one will last you a very long time, it's built very solid.

I'd say its similar to comparing R.M. Williams to other cheap boots. Others will do the job but just wont last as long and do a worse job.

will only set you back another 18.5 on top of the Kmart ones and really if youre trying to keep your athleticism then its worth the investment.

I’ve probably had my TriggerPoint roller for 5 or so years now. The plastic liner maintains its form and the foam has negligible signs of deformation that you’d normally find with cheap rollers that they normally buy for gyms.

Own both. The quality and life is dramatically different.

I've had mine for over 4 years now and it's good as new. The Kmart ones are also a fair bit softer and you outgrow those fairly quick.

It doesn't break and potentially stab you in the lung with a sharp piece of plastic.

Any plans for a discount on the 26" version? I find 13" to be too narrow.

I feel sorry for your girlfriend.

  • i find roller with the plastic pipe in the middle is a bit hard to roll your back on

    • Aren’t tennis balls better for back rolling?

  • Only has 500 pound weight limit? what the?

The Mountain weighs just under 400 pounds. What sort of activities are you planning on performing on your foam roller?

getting all the boys on for a sesh apaparently

I spent quite a bit of time researching rollers and this one regularly came at the top of recommendations. I very rarely saw it go on sale and don't remember it being this cheap.

I bought one a while ago and think it's worth the extra money compared to the cheaper ones I've looked at. After using them for a while you get used to the pressure and you want something more rigid and able to provide more pressure than the cheaper ones can do. I found this soft enough for a beginner but has enough rigidity to use for people who want more pressure. I was worried at the start I'd crack the hollow core, but it hasn't deformed or creaked in the slightest.

I'm noob with this but I've had my big kmart one for prob 6 months and have used it often- it literally still looks like new as if I just bought it..

I bought a kmart one a few years ago but didn't use it much, so I donated it to my sports club. It's still there and still in perfect condition.

Foam roller = PVC pipe with some medium density foam on the outside; I'm not sure how there can be much difference in quality.

I bought one from Kmart, lasted 5 weeks before the PVC split in half under me. Replaced it with one of these from Rebel for $60, and it’s still going strong after 3 years now, always flys with me in checked baggage when I travel.

      • The Kmart ones are pretty shithouse; but for a ridiculously low price its quite alright. You do get what you pay for though.

  • Usual price is $49.95 according to 3xcamel.

Used quite a few foam rollers.
This is my fave and go to, because of the strength and bumps.
Much better than, Amazon basic, Kmart, bugs, Celsius.
    Amazing price!

  • Bloody got ozbargained while I was finding things to add up to free delivery.

Don't see it listed for $28.50. sold out?

  • Sold out :(

Any chance of a sale on the TriggerPoint 2.0? (the big one?)

  • OP let’s get the big one happening!

    • I’m just a user of the product, I don’t make the deals sorry :(

  • As noted above, the black is out of stock.

But the orange has just dropped in price to $28.50:

    • $33.25 for me

      • I just hit refresh (again) and back up to $33.25. Maybe keep an eye on it to see if it drops again.

Even at $33.25 it's a great buy - I convinced myself to buy it at that, added to cart, and was $28.50.

        • I bought it as well for $33.25…. need to get on with my day

  • I just bought a different color version off of the same seller for the same price
    The deal is still on..

    …..edit…
Just got beaten to the punch

  • Deal on the big 2.0 would be great! 13 inches just not enough for some.

    15$ at kmart

    • Good price! Feel free to make a post for it

      • -1

It's not the exact same as this. I've got a no brand version of it and the 15$ kmart one and actually like the kmart one as it's sharper and slimmer

  • I still think the Rumble Roller is the best one on the market… just comes with a ridiculous premium.

Unfortunately… they're quite well known and I've had one stolen before.
