Saw this deal on Repco website. I guess it maybe the cheapest option. You get what you pay for. Some Ozbargainers have posted good reviews in the pas deals. It maybe a good deal for some. So posting. Personally I’d not buy this as I’d like something that will last at least 10 years. Enjoy!!!

I have got this and it broke after 1 years use
was it under shade or in the sun?
Half shade next to the fence and hardly expose to sunlight. It was the internal mechanism broken, it only retracts and doesn't lock the hose
I've got 2 (and a spare in the garage). Mine are in full sun and are still going well after (I'm guessing) 3 years of constant use. You can be unlukcy but these are well worth it for the price. Before these I had another 20m hose reel that I paid around $100 for. It didn't last anywhere near as long as these and when it broke it spewed lubricant all over the place.
I mod mine a bit. I cut off the glued on fittings and put decent (eg Gardenia) ones on. I find they can start to leak from where the hose from the tap joins the unit. I've ripped the cover off before and pulled out the inlet, taken out the 2 o-rings and replaced them with 3 new ones (yes, for some reason they have 3 slots for o-rings but only use 2).
When I go to deal it says online only? Is this an SA thing?
to anyone that has installed these:
what size masonry bit for the screws? and do the screws/bolts really go in backwards (head goes in first)???
