Oztrez, see if the guys making the deals can come with the schick hydro 5 blade. i received one during a freebie trial (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/37625) it was the best shaved i ever had and now i and am hooked and need a fix…those clever marketing buggers at schick :)
Yeah I saw those freebie deals running! I've just let one of our buyers know about getting blades, I'll pop back here if I get a +ve response!
The Schick hydro is excellent.
Schick did send out questionnaires to some/all? of the recipients. If you filled it in they said they would send a refill pack to you. I haven't seen it yet though.
I'd think about buying the hydro blades if I didn't have a cupboard full of Titanium refills from an even older deal (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/22060 and http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/23884 I think it was)

its their internet/online division trying to compete with guys like COTD and the like. Seems like OP finally got Gerry to listen and actually DO something rather than just whinging about internet prices.
We're really trying to be a company that listens to the online consumer moving forward into the future, lots of things in the works!
HN Big Buys is much better than COTD, you get mainstream products at a discounted rate on a server that works rather than some lame website that sells random junk, on some crap server that keeps crashing as well as annoying ads on Today Tonight claiming to be awesome (clearly COTD are not).
To be fair COTD don't have crap servers. They have high traffic that Big Buys right now doesn't have.

Are these razors good? Was thinking of getting some for my dad - he shaves his head and his face :)
As someone who used to shave his head, I'd recommend that just about any decent 4 blade razor (schick or gilette) is going to be fine. The shaving cream/gel/oil often makes the biggest difference, at least that's what I found :)

Yes razors with 3 blades are better and far less prone to clog up.

I've moved back to the Mach3 after using Schick for a year (they were cheap). I love the tilt design of the Mach, the way it bends backwards seems to work so well. Unfortunately all these cartridge razors are so much more expensive than their disposable alternatives, I only ever buy them on major special.

i would be taking advantage of this offer if i still shaved everyday. these days I am a bearded man, so if there is scope for a beard trimmer i will be keen!
That's really awesome feedback robxxx, that's the kind of stuff we love to hear! As far as beard trimmers go, unfortunately because you can currently find that kind of product at one of our Electrical stores we won't be selling them in the near future. I would recommend you keep an eye out for things like the 20% sale that just ended, or price matching at your local store ;)

Personal review: Worst razor I have ever used. I have been using Mach III for years now, but they were giving these out as a promotion recently, so I gave it a try. Worst. Mistake. Ever. It cut my face and neck to shreds… there was blood everywhere. It was ghastly.
Damn. Personally never had an issue with a Quattro when I used them, but thanks for the feedback! Shaving is once again pretty personal (there ARE certain razors I will never, ever use again)
It was the opposite for me. I used Mach III for years, then got a free Quattro with a magazine. I got hooked - less nicks and a smoother shave. I've stuck with Quattro since.

Just bought 2 of these deals. My boss has the eyes of an eagle and could see that I was unshaven from down a 50m corridor and instead of going into his office further down, he took a sharp 90 degree turn and made a bee line in my direction and cut me off from my only escape route.
