e.g. Search the product you wan to monitor and then click "Create Alert" on top right hand side
So I guess you can setup for 'Xiaomi' if you just search that.
Just to note, the S50 has been superseded by their newer model and despite promising new features for the S50 via software Xiaomi have reneged and now it wont be getting the room management, improved mapping etc.
So any updates for the S50 going forward will likely be non existent, and this product is essentially EOL.

Which is new model
Where is new model? Who buys a current device wanting version future updates? I have learnt to buy the device that works for me now, not rely on future updates. This vacuum is incredible value, has a great app and features. I got an update in Jan, I don't see any reason they won't continue to fix issues etc.
At this price and current state it's an incredible vacuum.
New model is the S6, and who mentioned anyone that bought it for future updates?
I just posted a FYI that this unit has been superseded by a newer model. And Roborock did say this unit would be getting the room management, multi floor mapping etc in a software update, so for anyone "thinking" of buying this based on Roborock's promise they have gone back on that promise.
Yep, and right now this is still a fantastic vacuum that will last you a long time. It does everything it says it does on the website and in its brochure.

Yes it's mostly all software changes, changes they said they would be adding to the S50 in a firmware update but later went back on their word to instead charge people hundreds of dollars for a whole new vacuum to get.

Yea not too sure who would buy a vacuum with the requirement of a specific update in the future. Huge risk.
for me the biggest change is warranty - 2 years is a good sign (not sure how easy/if possible to claim it, though)
With warranty you wont get anywhere with Roborock, you will have to hope the Ebay seller you purchase from is cooperative 12 months down the track when it fails and you have already left them feedback.
I've known a lot of people to just buy the lidar, motherboard, battery etc and replace them themselves when they fail as it's easier than chasing up warranty and paying to post a heavy vacuum.
Skeptical at first however purchased a black AU model late last year from eBay and it's been great!
