[SOLVED] Prepaid SIM with international calling

Hi,

I'll have visitors from overseas for the next two months and would like to purchase a mobile prepaid SIM with at least 10 hours (600 minutes) of international (USA) calling. What good options are available at this time? Don't really care about mobile data or international SMS.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/461178 (Vodafone $40 Pre-paid for $20 with Bonus $20 Netflix Gift Card @ Woolworths) looks neat but it does it include international calling? I also saw https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/460960 ($1 for 1GB Unlimited Talk & Text 28-Day SIM @ amaysim (New Customers)) but I'm not sure if this can be used for international calling which is available with amaysim's $30 plan.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Telstra/Optus $30 prepaid starter pack has this inclusion. You can get it for $10 if you keep track of their prices for 2 weeks.

    Do they really need to call actual numbers? Unless they are calling elderly people, would a bunch of data to make facetime/fb messenger/whats app calls not be enough? Or some skype credit?

      Thanks for replying. They would be calling some elderly folks who are not on Whatspp/ Skype.

        They can use the skype app to call numbers just like you would on a phone. Sometimes there are skype vouchers on sale at woolies. E.g. Like this previous deal. You'd have to see what the rates are.

        Also do they definitely not want data? If they are exploring the country, data is useful for looking up the next train, to looking for a recommended restaurant to eat.

          Thanks, data would definitely be useful. I'd thought of tethering their phone to mine for data, but yeah, I realized I may not always be around. Ended up buying the $30 amalysim plan from Coles for $10.

    Thank you all for your inputs. I got 2 of the $30 packs from amaysim for $10 each at Coles. This comes with 30GB data and unlimited international calling to 10 countries, including the US. As there isn't a need to retain the number after the expiration of the first month, I'll just swap out the SIM and activate it as a new number.
