Qantas Wine - End of Financial Year Sale

1520
MYWINE42019VOUCHER5004VOUCHER0419

UPDATE: 2 additional codes (credit to Tangenyahu): VOUCHER5004 and VOUCHER0419

I know that this deal is not for everyone but some wine lovers + QFF members may find it of value.

Qantas Wine is currently having their End of Financial Year Sale and there are a number of good deals when you combine them with the $50 off $150 spend promotion code and the bonus QFF points.

QFF points is valued differently by people and the usual going rate in the Ozbargain Classifieds is 1-1.2c/point. For simplicity's sake, I'm using the 1c/point conversion in my calculations.

Example:
Serafino Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 is currently $150 for a case of 6 ($25/bottle) with bonus 5,000 QFF points.

Combine this with the promotion code MYWINE42019 and factor in the QFF points and this brings the price down to $50 equivalent for a case of 6 ($8.33/bottle).
For reference, Dan Murphy's is selling a case for $142.80.

Note that shipping is free for premium members ($99/year or complimentary from a number of credit cards)

Standard delivery for non-premium members:
Metro: $7.00
Regional: $12.00
Country: $19.00
Orders above $300: Free

    • Thanks for the update, edited!

Awesome but are some of those end prices incorrect? You've taken $100 off instead of $50 or is that correct?
    ie Serafino Cabernet Sauvignon 2016(qantasepiqure.com.au) $150.00 Case of 6 5000 $50.00 ($8.33/bottle)

  • -3

    Already used this code

    • +16

Thanks for letting us know, I've made a note of that.

  • +5

I think he is saying $50 off for the coupon code and valuing 5000 QFF at 1c each means $50. Net effective price including value of the QFF points is $50

  • i thought the promo code ended last night? if not, i will bite

  • Last voyager listing price per bottle is wrong

    • Thanks for pointing it out, edited!

  • Wish qantas wine can issue a new discount code again, I have already used this code "MYWINE42019".

  • 'Forest Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2014' should be listed as $62/case not $112.

    • Thanks for pointing it out, edited the post yet again. Evidently I'm terrible with numbers!

  • Any recommendations?

  • There are delivery charges as well it seems?

    • Yes there delivery charges for non-premium members.

Standard delivery is $7 for metro, $12 for regional, and $19 for country.

Delivery is free for orders over $300.

If anyone is a premium member, Taylors 2012 for $185 a case is good value.

  • +3

For those chasing a $50 off voucher you can try either VOUCHER5004 or VOUCHER0419 and see if they work for you.

If anyone else has any other working vouchers, please post as I've used all the ones I'm aware of (and everyone else will appreciate it).

    • Brilliant, I'll add it to the post!

+1 for the effort into the write up alone!

The Katnook Premium Shiraz and Cabernet Six Vintage 2012 is also a great deal for some premium wine when you factor in the 20k Qantas points bonus.

$510 a case comes to $460 with code and then you earn 20k bonus points on top of that. Normally struggle to get these bottles below $80 a bottle.

    • Thanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to the table.

    • Sold out now :(

Thanks OP, I ordered a case of the Heirloom Vineyards Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, just over $300 after discount for free delivery.

    • +1

Hehe, I ended up doing 3 orders to get all the MYWINE42019/VOUCHER5004/VOUCHER0419 discounts. Don't mind a $7 delivery fee on cheaper order when getting $50 off an already good price plus the bonus points.

  • If I pay with points, do I still get the bonus 5000 points?

    • +1

Good question, I actually have no idea. I just added the Serafino to my cart with the discount code and it's showing as 16,000 points to redeem + 5,000 bonus points. Perhaps they do?
IMO it's still better value to buy with cash and use the bonus points towards a free flight, but I can see circumstances where it makes more sense to redeem using points.

      • +1

Seems like it does during checkout.
I agree that it is better value to buy with cash, but you still get the discounts off points with the code and at the end of the day it's a $0 expense out of pocket!
Also thanks for posting! Great deal.

Any recommended goon on this sale? It's for my mother in-law.

Plus 1 for the hard work

  • :/ I guess I can't pay part points and part cash

sweet deal. thanks to all contributors. :)

I don't drink wine and don't know how epicure works, but I posted this epicure premium membership if anyone wants it. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/462045

Thanks OP. Better than the targeted $25 off $120 that they were trying to tempt me with last week. Today I cracked with 2 boxes of 6 Handpicked whites for a total of $112 delivered using the $50 voucher (full price $300+delivery) - went with this despite zero bonus QFF points. Stocking up for summer, expecting my wife will like these.

  • Thanks OP. I was just about to order, so saving $50 is brilliant :) Does anyone know if Q every offers complimentary Premium membership?

This is sold out :- Forest Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

  • When do the points get applied / given? Only after they are shipped?

    • Points gets credited straight away when order is confirmed for me

      • I have placed 3 orders, have got no points for any of them even though during the order process it mentioned all the bonus points for each order.

I am mistaken, i have got points for 1 order from yesterday but the 2 orders i placed today dont have any points yet, It must take a day or so.

        • Does everyone get points? I signed up to qantas frequent flyer program years ago for free but I'm not sure if I still get points on it or only if I pay the yearly fee?

          • @videoman: Doesnt matter if it was free or not, you should always get points.

        • The time taken for points to appear is quite variable, some appear quite quickly, others take weeks. I'm still waiting on about 25,000 pts from several buys on and after 13 June. I usually see them appear soon after delivery has been completed, some of these haven't been delivered yet.

  • -_- Can someone let me know the fastest way to get 85 points? Frustrating that after shipping just missing 85!

The health app and insurance quote both delay a couple of weeks

    • If you have a Qantas-linked Mastercard, the card offers will be your best bet.

  • +1

Willoughby Ironrock Riesling 2016 also earning 5000 bonus points now.

    • Oh that makes it even better, I'll update the post. Thanks!

  • +1

I still havent received points for 2 of my orders even though for my first order i did recieve it the very next day….

    • +1

Still no points for my last 2 orders.

      • +1

I haven't received mine either. But they did say that it could take up to 6 weeks in the email and on the website.

      • me neither

    • Just received mine

  • +1

great post! the last entry - Katnook Premium Shiraz - is also sold out FYI

    • Thanks, updated the post!

  • So I received mine today… But they sent me the wrong one… Suppose I just call them? Does anyone know if they'll organise pickup for the exchange as well?

    • +1

Yes, they will organise the return and replacement for you.

They do make quite a lot of shipping mistakes.

  • +1

    Heirloom Barossa Shiraz 2017 $360/12, $310 after $50 code, 15,000 bonus points.

Price elsewhere about $27pb, but you can get the 2016 for $21 at the Wine Direct 30% off EOFY sale
    https://www.winedirect.com.au/heirloom-vineyards-barossa-shi…

New code REWARDM19 same T&C, expires 30 September.

  • Ordered 2 weeks ago, still yet to receive points…Anyone have similar experience?

    • +1

I still havent received mine either, I messaged them initially about it and they said they do it in periods, so i think i was told every 2 weeks at most, so it should really be happening any day if not already happened.

      • thanks, I placed one order last week as well, and points get posted instantly.

        • Hang on, are you saying you got points instantly for your order last week but not for the orders 2 weeks ago? That is really odd and that doesnt make sense then why i havent gotten my points from 2 weeks ago. The person told me all the points are done in batches every period. So that is really odd.

          • @lonewolf: I have seen my cases people getting points instantly, right after you placed order. Same with my first order last month…..

            • @guichenmin: It seems to vary, my first order got points by the next day, my next 2 orders which was a day later, still havent seen any points for almost 2 weeks now.

  • all points received for 3 orders

  • Thanks for the deal. Ordered and received. Points are lovely, not to mention the wines.
