Couldn't find the product on the SAA website by searching this certificate number.

Also there is no C-tick mark on the back of the driver, could you please supply a PDF copy of the SAA certificate, please.

Just an FYI Zemismart, your website isn't allowing people to login using Google at the moment.

    1. That’s an error.
      Error: redirect_uri_mismatch
The JavaScript origin in the request, https://www.zemismart.com, does not match the ones authorized for the OAuth client.

Also I'm eagerly awaiting these to become SAA approved ;)

    • Assume you're referencing the comments in this thread… if they were to get certified, I'd be genuinely keen.

Any idea if that's on the cards OP?

      • +1

Ha nope, just found it on their site a while ago and asked them if it was SAA approved. I got a message back saying that it's in the process or something like that.
Reckon i'll buy a bunch of them once they are certified though.

      Keen on your review

    • Keen on your review. I am after 36 of them with 90 mm cutout.
How long did the delivery take?

    • keep on your review video

      • +1

You might change your mind, I am very disappointed with them.

They are nowhere near bright enough to be used as a functional light, only ambient at a stretch. I will get some photos tomorrow.

At a guess I would say they are closer to 500lm vs the other 800-1000lm downlights I have

        • have u increased the brightness in the app?

          • +1

@sky-zemismart: Apologies, I assumed they would ship at 100% brightness and I didn't want to connect to Tuya as I believe their latest update bricks tuya-convert from working.

I have however now successfully flashed 3 lights using tuya-convert and imported them into Home Assistant. They are much brighter with adjustments made.

I will put together a short list of commands to swap into the guide I followed and post once I know my procedure is correct.

  • Hey Rep,Any deal with Zigbee down lights ?

    • yes, next deal will be zigbee downlight

  • Building a new house.. need to put in downlights. Are these Australian standard approved?

  • Thanks, just bought 2

I assume these require good wifi signal to operate in all areas. No mesh network support. No remote control option? Are these IC-4 compliant? I can provide detailed review paper if interested.

Bugger. 120mm cutout. Do you have any 90mm fittings as this is most common in Australia.

    • Yes, I am also looking for 90mm ones.

    • yes, we have, pls see to the last deal

      • Does the 90mm light comes with Aus plug?

  • Features say "Temperature: -5 to 45". Does it mean above 45 they will stop working?
Temperatures above 45 degrees in the roof space would be quiet common for Australian summers.

    • -1

it can work well up to 90 degree

  • Has anyone tried flashing this with tasmota-sonoff?

    • Yes, I am putting together a short list of commands on what process I followed to get it to work.

      • @cplagz
Did you do it OTA or by soldering bits? Keen yo see your post

I previously flashed a bunch of mirabella genio lights OTA using https://github.com/ct-Open-Source/tuya-convert

FYI, if you want Phillips emulation (for Alexa/Google home), you'll need to build your own tasmota-sonoff from https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota. The released versions, including the one on tuya-convert are pre-Phillips updates, and won't work with the tuya devices (alexa handles the names incorrectly).

        • Ota, v6.5.0 tasmota

  • For those interested in flashing these to Tasmota via OTA (I used a rpi 0W) and controlling via Home Assistant here is a very short brief of what I did. Please watch the youtube videos and understand the process before you begin - if you get it wrong you may brick your light.

    https://github.com/ct-Open-Source/tuya-convert/issues/84

I followed this page http://www.thesmarthomehookup.com/tuya-convert-walk-through-… and then modified some of the routine -

I found that tasmota also wouldn't connect to my SSID with a special character in the password (!) and believe that it has issues so I would recommend making a SSID/Password with no special chars.

Install tuya-convert and copy the precompiled bin to tuya-convert/scripts
https://github.com/digiblur/Sonoff-Tasmota/tree/development/… to tuya-convert/scripts/thirdparty.bin, it must be named thirdparty.bin for the flash to work)
This precompiled bin file is what will be sent to the light, it has a default fall back to AP mode if your WiFi network doesn't work.

sudo killall wpa-supplicant (I'm not sure this is entirely necessary but I had issues initially and this seemed to resolve it)
    cd tuya-convert
    ./start_flash.sh
    yes
Connect to vtrust wifi on different device and wait for it to be completely connected
Switch light on and off 3 times for pairing mode
As soon as it flashes press Enter to begin flashing procedure,
Generally if it is working the flashing will stop pretty quickly and then just wait for the flash procedure to commence

    curl http://10.42.42.42/flash3
    Connect to Sonoff-xxxx wifi network
Go to http://192.168.4.1 and enter Wifi network details, I would recommend adding a second as a backup AP you can activate if things go wrong
    Configure Other - Template -
    {"NAME":"ZemiDownLight","GPIO":[0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,143,0,144,0],"FLAG":0,"BASE":27}
Configure Module - Select ZemiDownLight (0)
    Configure MQTT

    Console -
    SetOption17 1
    SetOption59 1
    SetOption19 1

After some tense moments I have successfully connected 30 lights to my HA and can control them all.
    http://i67.tinypic.com/nz22oo.png

When ready for the next light sometimes I found I had to disconnect and reconnect wifi to vtrust or reboot rpi0w

    • This looks very complex. I am a very new to all of this.
Do we have to follow all of this or update to latest firmware in order to get 100% brightness??

      • No you can use the default tuya software, but it is Chinese software.

        • tuya app is international app for smart home

    • Were you able to get a nice warm white color? I can't find any good color config for it.

      • 243,231,211 try that, I don't have any plugged in again yet

        • Gives me a light purple/bluish setting :( Let me know if you come up with any good config. I'm really struggling with getting the right warm white/yellow

          • @ameel: Try 255, 103, 23, 255

            • @cplagz: Still too cold white. I have color 255,175,10,50 which gives me a somewhat bearable light.

My colors reset to default if I turn switch off/on. How do I preserve settings on power on/power off? Any ideas?

Ok. Actually, i've tested a bit.
              color 255,175,0,50 = color FFAF0032
However, when I turn on/off, It will default to either 255,175,0,255 OR FFAF00FF (depending on how I set the color). For some reason the White value is defaulting to max rather than saving/restoring previous value :/

            • @cplagz: Also worth noting that the light just gets whiter after a while of being on. Are you having similar issues?

              • @ameel: Haven't noticed yet, my house is still currently under renovation so they are not installed.
