Discounts are compared to current non-member 6 pack prices in Victoria, some times buying a slab is slightly cheaper than 4 member-priced-6-packs. Current non-member prices might be higher in states with container deposit schemes, member prices are usually nationwide. It appears member prices are a $1 higher in container deposit scheme states (NSW, SA, Qld). Some deals are state specific eg Mornington beers not available at a discounted price on NSW.

Max: Three discounted 6 packs of each variety per transaction.

Don't forget to use discounted Woolworths gift cards and cash back (if online) for further savings.

The 4 Pines and Mornington look to be good deals, even using them as slab prices ($56 and $64).

If you like the flavours of dark beers but want something more drinkable (I am not going to refer to a real beer as 'sessionable'), Mornington Brown Ale is sensational. Their lager is pretty good, and the Pale is nice and fruity (probably too much for some people), but the Brown Ale is my favourite beer at the moment.

Have you tried the Little Creatures Stout? I'm pretty sure I've had the MP Brown Ale before and quite enjoyed it. I've been drinking Guinness Draught and Coopers Best Extra Stout lately (thanks to recent specials).

      • +3

Yeah, Creatures Stout is pretty good. Probably on par with the two you are current drinking, maybe a bit better - but I would always prefer to drink Coopers as an independent brewery.

        • +1

I bought the Coopers Stout during the last special and got a 6 pack of the LC Stout on the weekend.

I prefer the LC. A bit 'lighter' than the Coopers in both ABV and taste.

      • Also, I don't know if and where you are and therefore how available they are, but if you like Stouts and can track some of the various Mornington Stouts down you won't be disappointed.

Had the 4Pines stout recently, really smooth as sessionable

    • +1

Agree, the Mornington beers are beauts

Also, love the formatting and effort of the post OP

    • +4

      Agreed, excellent effort OP :)

We'll see a lot more Mornington at better prices after they got acquired by the Stockade people - I'm ok with that

The Brooklyn will be brewed here - Kirin, Lion parent company, have a big chunk of Brooklyn.

    • +2

Yes, Brooklyn typically brewed here now. When they first acquired it you could pick up some imported stuff at the same price, but haven't seen it in a while.

      • +1

Damn that sucks. Won't pay full price for Brooklyn anymore.

    Don't forget the $11 pilsner: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/461697
Thanks for OP for formatting this months beer deals, I enjoyed the Brunswick Bitter and ill be going back for some little creatures stout.

Also Stella Pilsner for $11. So many choices. Edit: Added the Pilsner Urquell to the OP, thanks.

rippa post mate… thanks for putting in the effort.

  • Furphy is $13, not $12?

    • +3

Sounds like you've been hit by the container deposit scheme.

      • +1

So they charge us $1 to give us 60c back?
        Awesome.

  • 4 Pines!

  • 4 Pines coming up as $15 for me (NSW).

  • +3

All the beer listed are $1 extra at my local (Hamilton, QLD). (Containers for Change scheme perhaps?)

    • +1

      Same as me, NSW

  • 4 Pines Pale coming up at $15 per 6 pack, make it 4 of them (as a slab) and it adds another $2.25 ($62.25 total) to the price :-/

    Just me or….?

    • Three [discounted] 6 packs of any each variety per transaction.

Should be able to save the $2.25 by splitting it.

  • The 4 Pines Pale is a really solid beer, especially at that price. Would definitely recommend picking up a sixer to see if you like it.

  • Brunswick Bitter is not available at my local nor discounted. I assume that's QLD wide.

Gone for cricketers lager, Vonu and hollandier all member deals never had any before

  • +1

Just picked up Cricketers Arms Lager. One of the best lagers. Anyone else have top picks. Thanks for the post bud.

Member deals seem to be specific to some states/areas. Mornington Pale Ale for example coming up at $21.49 for 6 pack (full price) in Newcastle NSW but changing my location to Melbourne reduces the price to $16 and adds a Member Offer flag. Some great deals in the mix all the same.

      Thanks. Addendum made.

I went in to my local DM buy a couple of Pilsner Urquell. Before I even got to the beer section, I noticed there was a trolley of Guinness 440ml slabs with price showing $14.20. I thought, thats not bad for a six pack, then I saw the sign that said clearance stock, must be sold, use by June 2019. The price was $14.20 for 24! Not a big guinness drinker but had to buy one at that price.

    • That's a steal! Which store did you get it?

      • Somewhere around Adelaide is my guess.

        • At the Gepps Cross store - use by was 14 June so 13th was last day they could sell them- hence the price. A work colleague went in yesterday and there was one carton left, put out back so he got the lucky last
