ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 OC 6GB for $569 + Delivery @ PCCG

100

Another day another gpu deal. This time Asus/PCCG dropped the price bomb.

-$569 (historically lowest price) for this absolute premium quality 2060 card is a steal.
-This is neither the normal Strix nor the Strix Advanced version, but the OC one itself which means it comes with the highest factory-clocked speed (and also the best OC potential) on the RTX2060 market.
-ASUS ROG STRIX, design, quality, quietness, thermal performance, software support, clock speed, RGB, aethestics, triple fan… you name it, she has it all.

    This deal is not SUPER

    • +4

Yeah, crazy to buy now when super is coming with reported ~100US price drops.

Even if that doesn't happen, worth waiting to see.

      • +2

Yes especially given the 2060 super reportedly has 8gb vram would definitely wait

  • +3

Same price at Umart if you don't have a PCCG nearby.

Also, Mwave says "BONUS Wolfenstein Youngblood via Redemption", not sure if it's available at other retailers.

    • +1

Yes it is. It is through nvidia

      • Oh, weird how the others don't mention it. Anyways, thanks for the info!

        • At least I think so. I was looking at 20 series cards the other day and it looks like a few sites were referring to it as a redemption offer from nvidia.

  • Considering this is about what I paid for my 1070 from a Futu online deal in 2016, how much more performance will this amount get me in 2019?

    • +5

Not much. Better upgrade for you will be 2080ti

      • +1

I don't wanna upgrade until a point where $560ish is a good upgrade from what I have now, I'm certainly not in the market for a $1600 card.

        • +2

AMD just announced the 5700 XT which might be right up your alley for price point and logical upgrade as it is directly competing with the the RTX 2070 at a lower price point.

          • @hey aj: Honestly, neither card is a compelling enough upgrade from a 1070. I bought my 1070 June 2018 for $520, which wasn't really a good price, but it still holds up with the $500-$600 tier cards in the new generation

            • +1

@Adoses: Yeah I agree the 20's series was not compelling to me and I am still holding on to my 1080TI SLI setup, even though SLI can be a pain a lot of the time. If I have the willpower I would like to wait for something better to come along other than selling the two cards I have and buying a single 2080TI. I have heard that Intel plan to launch GPU's next year and that more than likely they will target the high end market to rival the 2080TI which should be interesting to see.

        • +1

I'd wait until at least Nvidia's 7nm GPU's or AMD's next gen GPU's after Navi

Got the gigabyte windforce 2070 8gb for ~650 the other day using PYLON on eBay. Computer alliance pulled out from the code after that tho.

  • ROG Strix?

How do they come up with these weird names? Is there a secret decoder I'm missing?

    • +3

ROG: Republic of Gaming. Strix: Who knows!

    • +1

ROG Strix is just the series of card have better binned chips.

  • +1

yeah I wouldn't say that is a super deal. You'd really really want that card. I couldn't wait and had to buy just this week the gigabyte windforce 2060 from Futu for $519, but if I didn't need a card this week I would have waited. The day after I ordered the new radeon were announced. So like above, if you're not in a rush, I'd hold fire and wait for expected price drops and the better SUPER cards coming soon. BTW same price over at Umart as well https://www.umart.com.au/Asus-GeForce-RTX-2060-ROG-Strix-Gam…

    • Yea I'm in the same boat. Need the card this week….

Just gonna buy it at umart with 28 degrees and get price. Protection…. So. Tempted to wait a couple of weeks.. and maybe get the 8gb 2060 super… If it happens…

      • Sold my 970 for $300… Should held it for a couple of weeks more….

  • Wait for the refresh linup called Super they r launching in a week.

  • Wait for the SUPER and RX 5700 XT to come out. This card should be less than 500 AUD by then.

  • +2

Waiting for the SUPER DUPER version.

    • Pretty sure there's been plenty of duping going on throughout the 2xxx series cards.
