just the 1,000 in VIC (again)

    • seems though CEO of woolies must have a mistress in NSW

      • Woolies is based in NSW, in Bella Vista.

        • woolies has always been based in NSW, and the promotions have generally been nationwide, this is the first time I ve seen tiered promotion like this and to this scale

  • +1

My only issue with this card is that it does not have a pin (unlike Coles prepaid cards) and a lot of smaller shops don't want to accept it.

    • -2

      You can’t payWave it?

    • Just press ENTER when prompt for pin.

      • +2

But you still have to sign and not many businesses like that

        • -1

Used dozens of these over the years. Never had an issue.

How do you even know what the business does or doesn't like? You don't need to have a conversation with them about it.

Just swipe card, then press OK. If they ask you to sign, sign.

          • @Zak: You know when a) they refuse to swipe or b) they select signature not ok on the machine and transaction is cancelled.

    • New issue is balance check. Issuer makes it more complicated. That's new catch.

      • wow you are not wrong - what a stupid convoluted thing. And you can only add one card per username? WTJ!

Showing as 1,000 points in QLD?

    • This sounds like the new pattern

  • What’s the difference between this card and the eftpos card currently on sale?

    • +4

mainly can be used online. personally use for paying rates etc where credit card doesn’t award points directly

      • The visa one can be used online or the eftpos one can be used online?

        • VISA

    • This one is a visa and can be used online but not to pay your taxes.

  • Unlimited per account?

    • +1

Usually ten, but someone mentioned they got 11 eftpos ones in the current offer ending tomorrow and got 22000 points

      • +3

Yup that’s me. Sitting at over 20 atm, all points received with no issues. Just don’t do over 5 each batch as it’ll crash the self serve kiosks

      • I believe you :) I know why somebody else can say it .

  • -1

Could pay with the Amex offer from last week for those who saved it.

    • +2

      Amex offer only available online.

  • Assuming can't use WW gift card to pay for this.

    • correct. been that way for a while now unfortunately

    • Ah the good old days ;)

    • I think it should be reverse. If we could think of a way to justify

  • Thanks OP.. was checking out the eftpos one today and found it cannot be used online ( or very limited online )… got some online bills to pay ….

    • +4

Time to use those eftpos to buy these visas at woolies then!

      • Is it possible to use eftpos card to buy visa?

      • Can I just use the Visa gift card to buy another Visa gift card? Visa-ception

  • +3

    Solid $4 per transaction. Upvoted.

    • You got the magic furtive. 😉

    • Optomist , I know already some limitations on use .

      T&C anyone tks ?

      • +1
        • Tks

  • +1

    Actually 2120 points per card.

    • You don't get points on purchase price of gift cards

      • Many people in NSW reported 2140 points per EFTPOS card this week.

        • Oh weird, lol

      • +1

You do when there's a promotion like this one.

  • 1) The Card can be used for purchases of goods and services, where prepaid VISA Gift Cards are accepted and processed electronically (excluding cash and cash equivalent transactions at ATM's over the counter at Financial Institutions and merchants and merchant groups who elect not to accept VISA prepaid gift cards).

Some merchant groups due to govt regulation don't accept them : (

  • +2

Can these be used to pay tax debts? Or does the ATO only accept iTunes credit?

  • +1

NOTE: Good luck to those who are intending to buy multiple cards:
It looks like you have to sign up a login for each card you own with security questions, date of birth etc JUST in order to check the balance on the card - this is new
    https://www.only1giftcard.com.au/

    • If you don't check balance, you don't need to login.

    • very painful process today to get my account balance of $2. There's a 1800 number to call for account balance but probably won't be able to give me as much details.

  • +1

Woolworths sure know how to annoy its customer base by only offering this promotion in one state. Why not offer it Australia wide with the same bonus points?

    Very bad form Woolies.

  • Many bad comments on this card at productreview. Is the card this bad, or people just don't know how to use them correctly?

    • wow you are right. Seems if you ever have problems with it, you are screwed.

  • Woolies in Victoria has been so tight lately, show us some love

  • Does anyone know if they still have specials every now and then on the Pay Safe Card at Woolworths? There was a thread here a while ago about a discount, but I haven't seen another one. Was that a one off?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/399053

  • Just bought one realised it failed activation. Maybe it's just bad luck and not tied to the card

  • How would you split online payment using this card? For an instance, how can I do partial payments if I am paying a bill or buying something online which is more than 100 dollars in value.

    • I assume you can’t, I assume the transaction will be declined. Many sites don’t allow split payments.

    • +1

I've done it a few times with online Bill's. Works for some companies. Just have to try it.

  • can i use a Wish card to buy this?

    • The other way round.
