Great price also if you need 2x16GB - 32GB kit same code priced at $242.25 Free Delivery

  • Hmmmm. Tempting as I already have this set, but I don't think I need 32g.

Win 10 shows little available, but that's because win 10 keeps things (ie web pages, minimised programs) in ram and only opens the space if required, is that right?

Yep, it commits the memory to use in advance.

        Thanks for the confirmation :)

You could always buy and sell them to suckers like me who paid $160 before discount a month ago.

No mate, I should take advantage of the reverse arbitrage of buying this exact kit last year for 270 AFTER 20% off discount smfh.

Don't feel bad, let me feel bad.

        • But you've been able to use that RAM for a year! I bought a 16GB kit for 280ish last year and bought the same kit for $112 this year, and I'm okay with that.

@BillyG687: Yes you're right, I was only half serious. In the end, I wouldn't have waited to pull the trigger even if I knew the price would come down. Life is too short to wait to play games.

@ozbjunkie: Yeah, I suspected it haha! Though, too many people take these things seriously.

  • so what is the recommended RAM spec for the new AMD chips?

    • I've been trying to figure this out also. So far I've only been able to find the 3000MHz version as "officially" compatible with Ryzen chips. The 3200MHz is cheaper though.

In AMD's keynote at Computex they stated 3600C16 as being the recommended config

      • That's positive. Thanks for the link.

      • Official is 3200Mhz .. anything over that is Overclocked ram.

Anything over 3000mhz would be best, but in the early Ryzen days there were massive issues with non Samsung B-die RAM. Things seem to have mostly been resolved through BIOS updates since then, but unfortunately many motherboard QVL lists aren't extensive, so I wonder if there's a problem they can always say "well it's not listed as supported RAM so bad luck". Anyway, I think it's worth a go as hopefully BIOS updates have sorted everything out over the years.

  • Had it in cart and it went out of stock when I went to pay…

  • This could be a good deal combined with 15% off Ebay Plus:

    Only 2400MHz though.

  • god damnit this is stupid cheap

  • darn it. I was planning on building a 2400G mini-itx PC. I would've saved a bit more if I got this.

  • There are a few more back in stock!
