Yeah this was going yesterday, great for those (like me) who missed the 7% at CR

  • how does this work?

    • +3

click on the link in shopback and you will get 6 percent cashback off the purchase price less tax at a later date

    • Well that didn't work.. went to through the shopback website to the apple website. Configured and paid for a macbook pro within 5 minutes and paid for it. Been three days. Account still says zero.

  • I wish this worked with unidays

  • I need to buy a new Macbook in the next 2 months so this is tempting but hoping for another JB or Good Guys 10% off deal in the next 2 months. Anyone remember from previous years do those deals only come up before end of financial year?

I would buy a refurbished model from Apple. This way you will save 10-15% compared to the RRP, plus the cashback.

Can anyone confirm Shopback rebates work with refurbished unit purchases?

I'd consider waiting for the next gen macbook that is supposed to be released next year. I have one of the current generation it's really unreliable. My 2010 Macbook has never had an issue, whereas my new one is constantly breaking. The butterfly keyboard mechanism in particular is really badly designed.

      • 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, and all 15-inch MacBook Pros received a small CPU refresh just a few weeks ago, which is usually a good sign that a major refresh is not coming soon.

        • Yeah probably at least a year away. If you want something reliable in the meantime, I would even go with Hackintosh before this. While I used to be a big fan of macbooks and even sold them at one point, I don't recommend the current generation at all.

I would wait for a JB deal unless: you are custom ordering, in which the this is the best deal you can get. Particularly if you ge the education discount. I just specced out a high end iMac RRP about $5k less education discount and 6% shop back it is about $4300. Vega 48, 1TB SSD.

      • i've just done what you suggested. hopefully it stacks with education discount! bought a customised iMac, will save another $130 odd with the shopback.

  • Does this work for Airpod 2? 7% from CR the other day didnt include new Airpord 2

    • If you click on the link it says they're not included

  • Is it possible to stack this?

  • When does this expire? Can't see that anywhere.

  • i got my cashback on my iMac but it's a bit less than what i expected. does anyone know if it's calculated on a GST-exclusive amount?

    • Looks like it doesn’t include GST. Which makes sense.

Bought an ipad within the 6% cashback period. Sale tracked…. But shopback recorded the sale as 3 days later when Apple sent out the ipad… at 1.5% cashback. What?!

Have opened up a case with shopback, but this is not cool at all

    • +1

Same. Got 1.5% cashback only, the tracking date is well before the cashback rate went back down to 1.5%. Going to open a case with Shopback as well.

      • I was going to open a case, but looks like they just corrected the amount of my cashback to 6% :)

  • I had bought a macbook pro totally 2066$ via shopback using this deal and got only 31$ as shopback earnings. WTF! Plus to be able to avail the earning shopback has such a long waiting time!
