It says the $5 off over $10 spend on code EOFYRETURN isnt able to be stacked with this. If I had it added, how do I remove the code?? Anyone know? Or would it not tick in until I hit over the $10 threshold anyways?

Workaround is make a new HeyYou account

    • +7 votes

Shouldn't kick in if not spending more than 10

      • +2 votes

It shouldn't be an issue as long as the order is below $10. Can the rep confirm this?

        •

I emailed them. See reply below.

          Hey,

Hope all is well in your end. thanks for reaching out.

You can only use 1 promotion code at a time, and if the EOFY has been activated it will be active until the end of the promotion and we cannot turn it off.

          Hope this clarifies your concern.

          Best regards,
          Romil

          •

@int13h: Not sure that answers the question.. Or at least there is still some ambiguity…

We've all mostly activated the EOFYRETURN code. If we don't spent 10$, are we still eligible for the shopback

(not necessarily directed at you as I know it was the support rep who answered that)

        • +5 votes

Correct, just spend less than $10 if you've already added the code to your account.

  •

    So it's not 100% cashback. There's a cap

    Ends 5.59PM 25 June (today).

  •

So basically free coffies and drinks all day? Am I missing something.

  •

Any idea if paying by referral credit qualifies for this offer ?

  • -1 vote

Is this for any shop including Amazon?

  •

Doesn’t include Hey you fees right?

  • +1 vote

I’m assuming no cashback if you spend in credits?

    •

Apparently so from the reply I've got on the same question above

      • +1 vote

The answer is in the negative even for previous posts, however my earlier transaction paid using referral credits / signup credits was tracked and confirmed too. I got the 100% cashback ($4.00) for the previous one.

    •

Cashback will track, however if it's credit from sign up/referral bonuses then it would be rejected later down the track.

      •

        Hey Shop Back!

What if I made a purchase for 4 bucks and it used my remaining 1.30 of my sign up bonus? Thing about Hey You, is that they don't allow you to pay fully with a credit card, so didn't have the choice to only spend my own money :(

        •

          Hey Echung,

Unfortunately even partial payment with the sign up bonus won't qualify for cashback.

  • +3 votes

Thanks OP! Regarding your comment about ShopBack vs CASHREWARDS, I generally find ShopBack takes longer to confirm the cashbacks. I’ve got more than $70 in pending with some dating back to last August and only around $6 confirmed, meaning I still cannot withdraw any money from it yet.

    •

Unless it's for a travel merchant validation only takes place after you've completed your stay/flights. If it's not a travel merchant could you let me know what transactions are still pending since August last year (just send me a PM with your account email address + transaction details)?

      •

Thanks rep. It was an extension bonus and condition was needing to have earn $10 confirmed cashback.

        •

If you click on the drop down arrow associated with the bonus is there anything without a tick? Sounds like you'll need to add in withdrawal details if there's something not ticked.

If that's not the case, please send us a private message with your account email address so we can look at it further.

Yes, shopback takes a while to confirm transaction.

  •

There's no mention of the $4 cap in the terms and conditions, or on the cashback page of the Shopback app.

Lately im starting to doubt that shopback is better than cashrewards. Tempted to go back to using cashrewards.

I just bought a $2550 laptop with the 12% cashback from Dell and it did not track at all. I have purchased many items through cashrewards and shopback so am very mindful of the procedure and click through process. This is my biggest purchase yet through either of these sites. Very disappointed with shopback.

I've heard with big purchases shopback can be a little dodgy? Seems it could be true after all.

    • +1 vote

I recently booked for accommodation from Agoda amounting to $1.3k and had no issues with ShopBack's cash back. Wasn't a fan of ShopBack when they just started here in Australia (lots of issues tracking and unattractive deals) but they have improved a lot since then.

    •

My experience is the opposite. I bought an approx $1000 appliance through CashRewards which did track yet was not approved. Long delays in responses and it was me that had to initiate the follow up after weeks of no response.

    •

If buying stuffs or services from overseas retailers, try to use Ebates. They're do much bigger and bettrr than CR or SB in many ways.

  •

I'm new at this, can anyone please fill me in on how to use the Hey You app to make an order and payment, I have Soul Origin nearby that I can try it on?
Do I just place the order through the Hey You app and then pay directly over the counter for the difference and then afterwards can I make another order from the same shop and get the $4 cashback again and again and again?

  •

Hey guys. How is 100% value calculated? :-D
If I buy a Coffee at Only Cafe, I already have a free coffee remaining, so it shows up as $0.00 in the total amount and I get the coffee for free. However, the Coffee cost is still $4.00.

For such a case, would I get $4.00 Cashback or I would not get anything? It mostly points to the latter, but worth asking, I'm gullible!

    • +2 votes

      You wouldn't get back anything since it's a $0 order ;)

      Cashback is not qualified for:

      • Top ups, Gift card Purchases and Purchases using Gift cards unless otherwise stated, and orders where you are redeeming a loyalty reward
      • -3 votes

Why'O Why do you do like this? We @ OzB are always looking to maximize profits / bonus / earnings.

Hope that we get cashback even when "redeeming a loyalty reward".

  •

This come up as a notification on my phone inferring that I get could breakfast, lunch and dinner on ShopBack, yet it then immediately mentioned a $4 cap!!! What sort of meal can you get for $4 these days ShopBack??? 🤨

    •

App doesn’t mention $4 cap either. What the hell?

      • +1 vote

It's just on the main page of the ShopBack app, but it should probably be on the actual cash back page too

      •

App doesnt mention capped at $4. However, the notification mentions. Shopback has always been unorganized while running such promotions.

    •

Ok can’t remember exactly what it said on the app notification but I remember thinking after reading that you can’t get a meal for $4! Just found in the ‘Don’t Miss Out’ section of the app that it mentions the $4 cap and also says “Coffee, brekky and lunch sorted!” so it’s possible that’s what the notification said and I misread it however I’ve now wasted this much time looking into it coz I could’ve sworn it mentioned meals 🙄

  •

Can I use it for snacks as well or coffees only?

    •

As per the notification and the app, it is valid on any kind of purchase on the Hey You app, capped at $4. So yes, you may get a brekkie toastie for $4.00 and get it all back @ Shopback.

  •

Does this work if I part pay with Hey You credit? I have about $1.50 credit on my account.

    •

Provided the credit is from manual top ups, yes. From referral/sign up offers then unfortunately no.

    •

noop, don't think so, I had $0.50 credit and bought a coffee this morning and didnt get cashback confirmation on it. Did for all the other purchases i made today =D

  •

ShopBack can't be trusted; some of my transactions weren't honored as per stated; perhaps isolated incident but this one here, supposedly $2 cashback but i get merely 21 cents. watch out! that's all am saying.

    •

I got my $2 bonus as per stated. Did you ask them why they declined yours?

      • +1 vote

asking now as we speak; mind you it was credited immediately so credit to gotyourback rep here in ozb.

      • +1 vote

It was more their purchase didn't track, so tempura missed the batch of crediting that was happened shortly after the offer ended. Anyhow, all good and sorted :)

    • +1 vote

You should get two payments - one for the purchase and one for the bonus. I suspect the 21c is the first payment and you didn't receive the second.

      •

and you didn't receive the second.

yes, this was advised by the rep and I now understand that there's 2 parts of it. though, I'm still confused as to why the second one wasn't automatically honored by the system. don't get me wrong, this is now fixed and all good .. but just for my understanding, was it a glitch or was it something that I need to constantly follow up for my future transactions if the so called bonus isn't honored.

  •

Can you use this offer to earn infinite credit card points? Bonus profit if you buy something packaged / in a bottle and sell them later.

    • +2 votes

The T&C's allow them to refuse cashback if you try to "game the cashback system". They don't explain what they mean by that but I wouldn't be surprised if they applied it to that scenario.

      •

Of course. It's just nice that they allow multiple uses - and they've tracked fast for me too.

  •

Cashback will only track for Hey You app version 4.4.2.290 and above.
Only available via the ShopBack App & Hey You App.

so to clarify, the purchase need to be made via Hey You (via ShopBack app) right?
and no min spend .. which is great.

  •

I have quite a bit of referral credit. Is there any way I can make use of this deal today? I'd be happy to pay $4~, but I don't see any option to be able to do that. Looks like it will just use my referral credit first.

  •

Hey rep - is it capped at $4 per transaction or per day?

    • +2 votes

You can make as many txns with each gives maximum $4 cashback

      •

I know the OP posted that and I know that's been the case previously but there's nothing in the T&Cs about it and only one of my multiple orders has tracked.

        •

you will never know until few days after; this is the biggest problem. so you think you've met all the cashback requirements hence you made a purchase of 10 x $4 transactions, expecting in 2 days time that you'll get $40 in your cashback wallet, but you get nil. even the simplest mistake as "I was 100% sure I went to HeyYou app via ShopBack app" but in fact, you didn't.

  • +1 vote

Thanks OP - grabbed a hot chocolate :)

  •

is there anyway that I can find out if they track my order right now or do I have to wait 2 days?
