2 pack for $69 seems decent too compared to other places.
Good if you don't need the extra node.I bought two pack and it's superb
how these little ones performance comparing to those big router with more rom and better cpu at same price like TP-Link VR400 / VR600, these tplink were sold for under $90 before.
Mesh is really for better coverage in a larger area.
I'm using the Tenda Nova MW3 in AP mode and an Edgerouter X and have been very happy. Total package was around $165 and it has been great.
Before that I was using an all in one R7000 AC1900 but had issues with wireless speed in certain parts of the house.
the only downside with these is the 100Mb port, so they'll only push around 11 megabytes a second, you'll get superior coverage with mesh but absolute speed you'll find the routers you referenced faster if the reception is good
that being said 100Mb isn't going to cause you much dramas, still plenty fast… if you transfer plenty of large files or have multiple people doing so then you might want to consider the big brother MW6
