Me too. one broke. Last time I checked Woodworm umbrellas were only available in USA for a reasonable price.
My family/friends have stolen 9 now.
I got one of these in each car. Each of them is sufficient to protect a family of four in the light to medium rain. Must have umbrella for a family for those rainy days.
What do you use for heavy rain then?
Good for 1 person in heavy rain but you cannot accommodate a family. Better to stay in a shelter than being out in the heavy rain if travelling with kids.

In my experience Aldi umbrella is better than the woodworm.
How do these go with wind?
I haven't tried it yet, but the vents should let wind pass through and prevent it from flipping.

What is so special about these Woodworm umbrellas I keep hearing about?
Huge, cheap, well made so they didn't break + the vent meant that they worked great in the wind and didn't wobble/carry you away with them. And they came in cheap 3 packs on ozB. Crazy Sale's one is similar now, but at a higher price point.

They are the same price as the one I bought from hong kong. At least I didnt need to ship it in the oversized luggage to bring it back.

There were heaps in Eastgardens Aldi. Picked up 2. They're solid things. Time (and weather) will tell if they're any good or not I guess.
