I got my membership when I purchased my vehicle
Since suncorp Reward no longer stock Coles Myer GC, there isn't much option left :(
If you order multiple cards, there is a high chance of further delivery delay
It took them 10 weeks when I order $2000 worth in Jan this year when they ran a 10% off promo
I called them, they said they were out of stock and would offer a full refund, but I chose to wait
they gave me 2 movie tickets at the end. They are honest business imo.

How to become a member? Cost?

  • +2

    cant join………..

I read from the previous post that GoodGuysConcierge has access. Is this correct?

  • +2

Thanks to this post I had a look at my Good Guys concierge membership. Yep sure enough you can buy gift cards through them. Physical Coles Myer are 7.5% off. I'm thinking that $30 for 3 years membership is going to pay for itself in no time :)

    • They also have woolworths ones at the same discount.

    • +1

So they changed taking the extra cover on electrical goods to a positive game rather than the huge negative one because of the rewards .

What the smallest $ product to get it the big question now ?

    • So you have access to buy JB HiFi Gift Cards through the Good Guys Concierge? :)

    • +1

The good guys membership pays for itself in more ways then 1. They also send you $20 credit 3 times a year for 3 years.

  • Thanks OP
I can buy through the good guys but they don’t notify/email when they run increase % promos.

    6 weeks for delivery!!!!!

wow that must be a record :(

      Bulky/heavy item.

Ironic your only post is an Optus customer specific one.

Come on guys! Can we make sure we all check with rkg before we post any deals to make sure he/she can benefit from it.

https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/sunbeam-quantum-plus-kettle-1… seems to be the cheapest item I can find to qualify for the 3 year Good Guys Concierge. Everyone who uses a kettle will have one by now, and they rarely break down. So $50 spend to justify for 7.5% for coles physical cards (which require a $5.50 registered mail send, or normal postage free, and a long wait time). And 2.5% more then the shopback/cashrewards wish cards for 3yrs…IF it remains for that time. Though not sure if they'll come in a few hours electronically. Might be worth it, though I usually get something once a year from these guys, so might wait till then. But good to know

    • +2

You also get a $20 credit (no minimum spend - in store, click and collect and delivery) to use 3 times a year (you usually only get a few days to use it and it comes at random times). The vale of that is obviously less than $60 a year, but it can easily pay for the concierge fee if you use it.

      • Can you use the $20 TGG credit to purchase gift cards, like the ones in this deal?

        • +1

As you found no you can't do that. You can generally get some free Finish quantum tablets out of it or something else that you want out of it such as toner or paper, but it isn't just free money…..

      • Nevermind, I found the answer myself, from https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/concierge-faqs

"Concierge Store Credit offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other store credit offers or be exchanged for cash. Store Credits can’t be used to purchase gift cards, epay and iTunes cards, products from The Good Guys eBay store and excludes certain brands selected by The Good Guys at its discretion such as Apple, AEG, ASKO, Miele, Neff, Bertazzoni, La Germania, Falcon and other agency brands."

Looks like the best way to use your store credit, if you don't need any goods, is to buy some printer paper, toner or ink. Printer paper is reasonable at $6.50 a ream:
        https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/clearcopy-clearcopy-a4-80gsm-…

    • Nice find it has my tick . Although the possible 6 weeks wait more safety in the end with physical cards .

    • Concierge on a Aircon costs $119 for 3 years. Not sure if I can use the $20 voucher 3 times a year.

    • That could be a good buy, it currently costs $19 plus $30 for the concierge plan, and gives $180 concierge credit (9 lots of $20 credit). The credit could buy 3x9=27 reams of printer paper, so effective cost of under $2 per ream of paper.

Printer paper stores forever, so even if your usage is low, you can store it until you use it.

Found something cheaper, Sony in-ear headphones for $10: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/sony-in-ear-mdre9lpb-black-he…

      • Thanks

      • +2

After you purchase, what happens re the Concierge Service? They email login and password?

        • +4

Since no-one replied here's the details.

I picked up my purchase today. The documentation for Concierge makes no mention of how to access the site. However I found this is the URL:

          https://conciergerewards.thegoodguys.com.au/conciergerewards

From there you need to register. It says your username is your email or phone number that you provided with your order (no idea how to definitively tell which) or a username emailed from the Rewards team (I have received nothing).

Last night I tried to register with my email address and it wasn't recognised. However I tried again and now it works.

          • @gadgetguy: Thanks

          • @gadgetguy: Thanks, I also tried to register before picking up my headphones and it didn't work. Good to know that it should work once I've picked up the goods.

      • Nice find, be more useful then a kettle

      • +1

Thanks for this. bought and signed up for gold concierge 3 yrs - total cost $40 - cheapest option available

      • Thank you for this.

  • +2

delivery time… surely taking the piss

  • I've had a look at the good guys concierge FAQs but I still can't work out how much it's going up cost until I call them up. Is a purchase film l from their eBay store eligible?

    • +1

If you ask for it to be added when you pick up or after delivery then probably. I'm not making any guarantees here, but that's what they will usually do if the item has the option of Concierge, but you do have to ask them about it.

    • +1

The cheaper the item the cheaper the concierge cost and vice versa. You can always go online and add item and concierge to your cart to see how much it is.

  • I can still get Coles & Myer gift cards at 5% off on the suncorp app.

    • Yep. They did stop the officeworks gift cards though.

    • only e coles i believe? order a group card a few weeks ago from tgg im still waiting. how long maximum should i wait?

    • I can only get digital Coles gift card on suncorp app sin Feb
It can only be used in Coles only, not OW, not Coles Express,

Be careful with large purchases ($1,000+) with The Good Guys Concierge. Never had a problem with small purchases ($500 and under) but just recently went through a lengthy PayPal dispute with Pegasus Group, the company who provides the gift cards via TGG Concierge. They even pulled the old eBay scammer trick of "remove the dispute and only then I'll send you the gift cards" to test if I knew that only one dispute can be lodged. I finally got the gift cards in the end, was honestly expecting an empty envelope when the delivery arrived after that whole debacle.

If anyone encounters problems with TGG Concierge and not receiving the cards after 6-8 weeks, lodge a PayPal dispute and don't be tempted to remove it until you physically receive the gift cards or PayPal provides you with a refund.

do they send you instructions on how to login to the rewards membership that comes with concierge? and if you set to click and collect do u have to wait till you pick up to get access to the rewards?

    • also keen to know. if i buy a product+concierge today, can i sign and buy gc instantly or do i have to wait to pick up?

      • See my comment up the page.

  • +5

The same offers are available through MLC Member Benefits (which Pegasus are also behind) if you have superannuation or investment products with MLC.

    • Good info

  • For Good Guys Concierge purchasing gift cards, can pay with Amex or just VISA/MC? Any surcharge?

    • Payment is via Paypal so I don't think there is any surcharge and yes you should be able to use Amex.

  • |1 Jul

What does this expiry date for?
Is it the 7.5% discount expiry date?

  • Cheers OP . Ordered $1k worth of JB HiFi GC for $925 via TGG concierge. More than paid off the $30 gold concierge 3 yrs membership which i signed up for yesterday.

    • Able to use Amex to purchase the gift cards without surcharge?

      • not sure abt AMEX. I used MC via paypal - no surcharge

I signed up and logged into Concierge Rewards for TGG and it's showing as 5% off only now… expired?

    • Same! Disappointed. Took me over 10 days to sort out my account details and now it is back to 5% grrrrr…..at least I have coles discounts now.

  • I bought a Coles egift card on Sat 6 July 2019, haven't received as of today. How long does this normally takes to be sent to email inbox?

    • From the good guys it normally takes 2 buisness days.
Might be longer if it’s your first purchase.

Email link comes from [email protected]

      • Thanks, have sent a support message on concierge website and keep an eye.

  • For anyone still waiting - i got my GC's finally delivered today ordered on the 29/06
