    • Nice.

I was gonna purchase as I'm in the market but I might wait and grab a 65R7 when a sale comes up.

      • Tempted as well with the P8 but will wait for the R7. Want that Alexa integration.

        • +1

          Want that Alexa integration.

          Said nobody.

        • Alexa integration in my opinion is overrated. Especially while watching content you have to yell at it for the command to be heard. When you are past the novelty, you will find yourself using the remote or the mobile to control the TV.
Also, if you have an AV receiver or even just a decent soundbar, you do not care of Dolby Atmos or any other neat sound feature on the TV, because you would never use it. And controlling the TV would be only a part of the system, so you would still need to turn on/command other 1-2 devices that could be "dumb", so Alexa can't help you with that (although with CEC on-off is taken care of).

I can literally control everything with Alexa in my house, but the thing I use it the most with is the lights control, not the TV. And I normally use the Harmony Companion even for that, because if I am watching a movie I usually have the remote handy anyway.

Dolby Vision on the R7s is nice, but the higher the brightness of the TV, the lower the (visible) difference between DV and HDR10+. I had the chance to see it on a P9 (granted, a P9 has 2500 nits, so roughly double what the P8 has) and the difference was, when actually detectable, subtle. And because I was looking for it.
If you come from a non-HDR TV, you wouldn't know better (again, personal opinion based on personal experience).

    • Great deal - how did you get it?

By my count, 2 x $1,995 + c. $118 for delivery should have been $4,108. How'd you score the extra discount?

      • +1

i just asked for a discount and the freight cost you have there is wrong as the 2nd item was only $15 freight i think he said

  • got it for 1920 at store. thanks op

    • Which store mate

      • Melton vic

        • Hi - $1920 including delivery?
          Thanks mate

  • How is the for Gaming PS4 PRO

  • I was told by JBHIFI guy that the panel on this is QLED from samsung from previous year ? Is that right ? If its QLED than worth buying because QLED samsung TV are way better than the normal 4k TV.

  • TV arrived today. So happy with the purchase. Build quality is above expectations and the picture is AMAZING!

    • Hi is the picture real good,

Have your used it on a ps4 or gaming & Hows the motion

  • I really want to pull the trigger on this tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if this would be better than the Samsung Q60? The 65" is only slightly more expensive.

  • Got 1 1910 delivered

    • Another one with a cheaper than sale price - well done!

Ordered in store or how did you get the extra c. $150 discount off delivered tv?

      • Went in store and showed iianthony's receipt. They agreed to match the price (the clerk had to consult with the store manager).

  • Gaming? Any Good Would it be better than Samsung UA55H7000

  • Bit the bullet. Super nice TV, a bit glary with a lot of ambient light but manageable enough.

The Plex app appears to be… Rubbish? It won't play my 4k content without extreme buffering. The XBOX plays it fine.

  • Just went to the jb hi fi in THE GLEN vic, they said they do not have any stock and cannot order.. I also tried purchased online with no hope!! Anyone who can tell me where I can buy this TV in east part of Melbourne, would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

    • Thank you very much!!

      • Thanks! Just went in store, and First Lady said she couldn’t do it. Was walking out in a huff and a guy asked if he could help, said that he’d match it to avoid me going to harvey’s.

        Thanks heaps for your receipt!

  • Are the black pretty black on this panel
Is there much of backlight bleed

    • Blacks are great IMO, considerably better than the 2012 Samsung Plasma it replaced.

Mine does have some bleed coming from the lower left and right, but only noticeable on black backgrounds (such as input menu or when Netflix loads up). Had it about 2 weeks, I'm reasonably fussy about PQ and haven't noticed the bleed when watching content. I'm sure there will be certain scenes when the bleed will be noticeable, but what do you expect for a sub $2k 75 inch, it's insane value for the money IMO.

      • Which is better? Hisense 75" 2018 75P8 or 2019 75R7 And why?
        Thanks

        • +1

If you want the one that is purely the best picture quality, that's the P8. If you want the one with features like built in Bluetooth, Dolby Vision and Atmos, it's the R7.

        • +1

Aside from that 75P8 is end of line, you won't get a 75R7 for $1800 (JB currently @ $2600).

  • What would be a decent wall mount for this monster of a tv?

    • +1

if you are looking for a swivel mount avoid brateck MABT-LPA36-466, this is rated for 50kg but i tried one and its not even close to safe or stable.
they must have made a thinner batch of the unit above as i have used them before for a plasma that weighed 50kg and it had no issues.
if your looking for just a standard tilt mount this is good for 75kg and cheap as chips
Brateck Plasma/LCD TV Wall Mount Bracket up to 70"
      MABT-PLB-33L

the vesa pattern is 600 x 300 if you looking at other wall mounts

  • Just bought this yesterday from JB Hi-Fi out west, $1850 with delivery included, couldn't be bothered for extra warranty, if it's going to die it will do it usually in the first 12 months.

    • is it best to get a Chromecast Ultra when you have this tv?

    • Let me know what the PQ like

    • Just managed the same deal here in Sydney, thanks to all the receipts the guys posted here! Salesman wasn't going to budge from the ticket price (which is now higher) otherwise.
Luckily they had at least one brand new one in the Sydney warehouse. Most of the other TVs on special were floorstock only.

Now that it's on it's way, would any of the early purchasers care to share their preferred picture settings?

  • I now have a Hisense 75P8 which is great but I cannot get surround sound to work properly. Samsung 7.1 Home Theatre System HT-E6750W with Samsung TV previosuly and now have the Hisense TV.

The home theatre system supports AC3 audio so surround sound used to work with AC3 but now with the Hisense TV I cannot get surround sound to work and don't know why. Any ideas?

A movie file on usb stick into TV with ARC so audio goes to home theatre system. Cannot get rear speakers to do their surround sound as they used to.I also tried HDMI cable from computer to home theatre system with no luck. Pretty frustrating.

  • Just a note that JB confirmed today that Sydney warehouse still has 25 left, with many stores having an additional one or two in stock.

I got it at $1,799 delivered. I didn't haggle too hard (always happy to get a fair deal rather than the best possible deal) and they wouldn't match the $1,699 being claimed in the 75P9 thread @ www.ozbargain.com.au/node/473529
