  • great deal - especially where for $5 extra you can get all your local and national calls for free tho wonder how good it'd be on 512kbps

  • This is a bargain comparing to spend extra 50 dollars for an ATA, however i think Pennytel has better deals.

basically you can get standard PSTN(8 digits) phone number without paying monthly fee. Local call is 8c each. Also, calling China, Singapore, UK(landline only) and United States/Canada all for 8c EACH!

Australia mobile 10c/sec, billed by second with no flagfall.

    check this for more details:
    http://www.pennytel.com/call_plans_compare.html

  • MyNetFone has the same mode for $20 including $20 credit ($0 delivery). So essentially you pay nothing.

The catch is 6 months contract on ANY plan, and you have to keep your balance at $20 or above (so if you use nothing over the 6 months, you pay nothing).

    • Correct about the 6 months on ANY plan but to pay "nothing" ie unless you use it, you will need the no monthly fee plans.

of these the best is the whirlpool saver plan which you can find here

      https://www.mynetfone.com.au/offers/whirlpool/

But in this deal from ACE, they do provide the ability to unlock the device after 6 months whereas Mynetfones is locked.

So you are paying $69.70 for an unlocked after 6 months box vs MNF locked forever, or $92 with no service (best on staticice)

so depends on what suits you.

FYI according to a post at Whirlpool ACE is an Engin wholesaler

  • ozpete is correct we are an engin wholesale customer. We utilise their network but all billing, support etc. is provided by Ace.

  • We use Ace VoIP and its this simple….NOTHING COMPARES!

Where else can you pay for voip, ring up for tech support, accounts or billing and get the same people who treat you like a personal friend, not another damn number?

Ace give you that! Personal support, personal communications and friendly staff whom all communicate, saving you ever the need to completely explain your problem over and over to another tech agent.

I don't know about you guys, but I'd much prefer stick with Ace and pay the extra to get the personal friendly support as opposed to paying a larger company for low rate support ;)

    • You make some valid points Hightek. For those already used to Voip a cheaper offer can appeal, but for those new, then support is essential for a comfortable transition to the savings Voip can offer.

There is always someone offering a 1c a call cheaper. Using a base of say 10c untimed vs the Telco $$ option, a cent or two a call really doesn't matter, unless making tons of calls like a business may do.

Service support, billing and call quality are worth a few cents a call difference. Others' experiences help when deciding which provider to use.

      • I could not agree more ozpete.

Infact, I am that happy with Ace Voip that it is now our primary phone and our PSTN line runs as our fax…and 99% of callers do not even notice we are on voip!

I think Ace's pricing is pretty fair in comparison and think about it…is 6 months really that long considering that your getting the TA612V for free?

I wouldn't complain about that…infact, I think its a very valid deal and one well worth taking up considering I had to pay for my ATA when I signed up!
