Might be worth noting that Amazon Prime day is coming up in a few weeks.
During those sales last year is when I got my Switch for ~$315 +increased Cashback.Hmmm it's a tough call. My son really wants a switch and school holidays are now.. so perfect timing.. just the inner ozbargainer in me wants to wait for the better deal…
You are better off waiting for Amazon day as this is a regular price now so you don't have to lose anything.
Even a single day of peace and quiet in school holidays is worth so much.

I think there is a certain minimum gap amount (i.e $75 kind of) I saw on my cc pds. Check yours. Otherwise they gonna hassle with $5-10 diff which they dont want to

When? Any why isn’t this a good deal when elsewhere is still $379-$399.
There’s been no definitive release date or confirmation of an updated Switch so this maybe as good as it gets and some people don’t want to wait for something that may or may not be released.
Manufacturers for switch components are selling more parts to Nintendo recently.
Nintendo usually does hardware revisions between 18-36 months after the initial release.
Pokemon is coming out with no "cheap" entry for households with multiple kids and hence multiple switches.
Nintendo even commented recently when asked about hardware revisions they like to keep people surprised.
compact switch doesn't appear to have removable joy cons, and screen is smaller. I don't think they're going to replace potential sales of the normal sized Switch. It'll only allow easier transition for people from 3DS to the switch mini.

Refurbished one is $299.20 with code PRETECH. Good price if you don't mind getting a refurbished system. They only seem to have grey available though.
Anyone purchased one of these recently and comment on their quality? $299 is really tempting.
I bought one a few months back. The one I got is in mint condition though I did pick up in store and chose the one I want. I also got lucky with a hackable switch.
Not bad when you add 10% gift cards! Has anyone had any experience with EB refurbished consoles? How long is the warranty, does anyone know?
Yeah I was seeing this but balked in the end. It's more likely than other consoles to come scuffed or greasy where it counts, and even if that's just the Joycons you're looking at like $$ to replace those. I'd rather grease those up myself.

Your best bet would be to get a refurb from EB Games. Otherwise, message every eBayer selling one for the serial number.
I tried a week ago. Went to big w, jb hifi, ebgames. Recieved the same story from staff that they sold out at Christmas and the switches they have are all new stock likely patched. There's an android app with a barcode reader to scan the switch S/N and find out easily if the unit is patched or not. I still tried my luck and scanned a few units I just asked politely and the staff were happy to help me, all I came across was patched units. I think you'd be very lucky to come across a new one that isnt patched so I got a refurb from ebgames instead and im very happy. The refurbs at eb have been discounted by around $50 and i think this is temporary due to them running a promotion on selling a new switch for $399 Hope this helps others.
Are JB HiFi likely to price match this?
If they are. I may finally use my $200 jbhifi gift card.
